House Wine was such a great experience for us. As we walked in, we were greeted by an acoustic guitarist / singer. There's a front outdoor patio, an inside first room that looks like a comfortable, inviting living room and another back area down a ramp with more additional inviting tables and couches. We ordered from the server at the counter. We started with the cheese board (brie and manchego), salted caramel chocolate, and best of all, we tried the s'mores with marshmallows and hershey's bars which we constructed into sandwiches and heated over a mini table top warmer. From first dates to seasoned couples, the s'mores are guaranteed fun and the way to go. House Wines as you might expect has a great selection of wines including by the glass.

Usually live music after 7pm which is so wonderful! Place is really cute, although the outside could be more comfortable. Parking - small but there's parking behind it! Between dolce neve and house wine, enter there and down by the back trees is parking :) Food - bit pricey but good. I like their charcuterie boards and $1 caramel chocolates. Sundays half off wine glasses! Staff friendliness has gone down :( No music outside after several attempts asking on multiple different occasions. Sit inside otherwise 0 vibe. Inside is nice.

Came here with some friends to celebrate pre-bday. It was very cute, charming, and cozy. Great vibes and setting for catching up with girlfriends, or a comfortable date night, they even have sections large enough to hold a bigger group (6 of us). We ordered a bunch of boards they offered, all were satisfying. Service was friendly, the parking is small. I recommend going here if you want to catch up with friends, very chill vibes.

They say "the House always wins", but not when it comes to House Wine. This place has been on my radar since their previous location and although the building seems nicer, the service & bites were mediocre. The wait staff really brought down the house. Very slow, not friendly and seemed bothered when we tried to place orders even though it was a relatively slow night. The main highlights were the live acoustic music and the chef who checked in more often than the server.

This new location of House Wine is located on South 1st with a dedicated parking lot behind the house, which is quite convenient. The space is aesthetically decorated with comfortable couches and pretty pillows. They also have live music playing from time to time. And the menu is quite elaborate - you can try wines from different corners of the world. The staff are knowledgeable about wines and friendly.

I loved House Wine. Very cute space, but I'm sure it can get loud if it's busy. I'm not sure if it was the deal of the day or just the regular happy hour deal, but it was half off glasses of open bottles which was kind of fun. I would give it a five if the bartender wasn't wiping their nose while pouring our drinks

Such a cute addition to this area! Recently relocated to S 1st street according to their website - we were fortunate to find this gem. The ambiance is amazing - food and drink options are perfect for an afternoon snack or evening gathering with friends! A must do!!

The lot behind the place - it's easy to miss the turn in off S. first, but there is a small lot with about 8-10 spots behind the building

I came to house wine for their soft re-opening since their old location on Josephine st closed after the passing of its prior owner. I saw an article on Eater Austin saying Fri 9/27 they'd have some welcome sparkling wine and snacks so I came with the intent to try some, enjoy the new ambiance and probably get a glass of something! I was greeted by super friendly and attentive staff who did bring me a glass of welcome bubbly when I asked. They mentioned about some snacks (nuts, or a hummus plate) as well which I mistakenly assumed was the "free" snacks; I requested the hummus plate and while I was on the phone I was brought nuts. They were toasted and salted; i went ahead and ate them since they were in front of me and they tasted nice enough but I found out they weren't free, I think were $8ish actually for a small serving dish of them. I really can't fault the restaurant for that, it's my fault for not asking since i didnt really need the calories and would've declined if I'd realized it wasn't part of the welcome festivities, but oh well. Otherwise the ambiance of the new place is similar to the prior spot, it's cute in there. They have a nice patio as well. Clean bathrooms, no issues there. It's also amidst lots of good restaurants on S. First so you could easily get dinner before or after as well nearby.

I absolutely love the new House wine location. It's conveniently located right on South 1st street. There is limited parking behind the restaurant and paid street parking in the neighborhood behind. The front gate, patio and inside are all so pretty. There is so much to look at and a very cozy vibe. Susie helped us and she was very nice to talk to and very knowledgeable. I ordered a Mediterranean plate which all was delicious and of course the wine was enjoyed. I recommend a flight so you can try a few.

The wine and the food were amazing! I went with a group of 11 ladies and everything was great! Pictured is a sorbet prosecco. Delicious!

So I am not a wine guy. I'm not a "I wanna sit and sip with cheese"and that whole thing... But dang, this was pretty cool. The music in the background was very nice, chill relaxed vibe... The service was extraordinary.. Elisa was great.. took very good care of us but had to leave :( but then Gretchen came out ... She's the boss lady. Lol. Too awesome. We know nothing about wines other than Paul telling Timothy to drink wine for his stomach ailments. :) Our cheese plate was very good. The chocolate, gouda, brioche... Bruh, it was delicious, and we had dinner before coming here!!! Thank y'all for a great experience.

I stopped by with friends for a ladies night out (Thursday). This place has a cozy and fun ambiance. Once we were seated, service was subpar. After ordering two bottles and two charcuterie boards, our server was nowhere to be found nor did she check-in to ask if we needed anything else. When it came time to pay our bill, she had a hard time splitting the cost equally using her handheld kiosk. The first transactions were voided and the second transactions were slightly off but we sorted it out afterwards. This place has so much potential - it's important for servers to be attentive. Anyhow, I may give it another try. Overall nice place with cute decor and laidback vibes.

Came in on a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoyed their lovely patio. The place is tucked away and very welcoming, chill and, homey. Our hostess was really nice and took the time to explain the wine and the mission of the bar. I'm not a big wine drinker but I thought the frosé was really good because it seemed to have strawberries blended into it. I got the charcuterie and bread tapas which I expected to have some cheese but was only meat (salami and prosciutto). It was $8 during happy hour which we felt was still a little steep for what it was. My minor complaint is with billing. The frosé was supposedly $7 during happy hour but I was charged $8 which is nbd. However, there was also a small fee for using non-cash payment which I would've liked to know since I had cash. I don't think this was anywhere on the menu and could've been verbally mentioned.

Parking was a little hard to come by in the neighborhood, but not impossible. I ended up waiting a little over 1.5 hrs after checking in with the hostess and we were able to snag the very last plate of paella! I've had my fair share of paella and I'm in no way a paella snob, but this one missed the mark for me. 1) the portion did not reflect the $34 price tag. 2) portions of the rice were undercooked and very hard. 3) it was way too salty. It did come with a mix of mussels, clams, shrimp, and sausage, with a side of toast, but I can't justify this part of the experience. We also ordered calamari and croquetas. The croqueta was delicious and flavorful, but the calamari didn't stand out. It tastes like any other calamari. The ambiance itself is cute and the service was great, but the food was lacking.

From the moment we sat down, the service set a phenomenal tone for the meal. Our server, Avery, genuinely took the time to ask what we were interested in, thoughtfully guiding us through the menu with recommendations that were, frankly, unbelievable. Every single suggestion was spot-on. As for the food, every dish that arrived at the table was a masterpiece: The Brunch Plate: A beautifully classic, elevated breakfast. The sunny-side-up eggs were cooked to absolute perfection, seasoned with a light touch of pepper and spice. Paired with perfectly golden, crispy hash browns, savory sausage, thick-cut toast, and a rich fruit compote, it was a flawless, hearty start to the day. The Beet & Citrus Salad: A vibrant, refreshing standout. The earthy depth of roasted red and golden beets paired wonderfully with bright, juicy citrus segments, creamy crumbled cheese, and fresh greens. It was beautifully balanced, incredibly fresh, and a perfect contrast of textures. The Pesto Pasta: Absolutely spectacular. The pasta shape held onto the rich, flavorful pesto sauce perfectly, which was tossed with fresh spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and tender chicken, all finished with a generous dusting of parmesan. It was savory, comforting, and packed with bright, fresh flavor. Between the flawless, attentive service and the phenomenal quality of the kitchen, they made this Father's Day incredibly memorable. We will absolutely be back!

Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.
