    3 piece (hot) with fries.
    Travis B.

Food is cooked fresh and the chicken was juicy and decent sized (I ordered the strips.) Hot means "HOT." It's not an exact science and my strips were covered in a spicy rub and sauce. I like hot things and this was borderline too much. A couple of things I found "meh" here. No iced tea. They have a lot of sugary soda and slushee drinks but the only unsweetened item is water. This place tip shames. You order at a counter and they are asking for tips. No, thank you.

This location is great! Super quick service and cool atmosphere. Their sandwich is one of the best I've had! The chicken is super crispy and juicy. Their crinkle cut fries are seasoned so nice and they are so good dipped in the house sauce. I decided to try the chicken tortilla soup which I really enjoyed. I tried the cucumber watermelon lemonade and it was so refreshing and good. They have great shakes too!

This is my first time eating here... the inside is clean with a fresh modern look... they have levels of spiciness. I ordered the level spicy. It's was fire burning hot!!! For my taste. I took one bite and It was un edible. But a staff member Tracy offered me a mild sandwich, super customer service! (Original Hot Sandwich combo $12.99) which was great price for a juicy well balanced sweet-spicy-tart sandwich topped with homemade coleslaw perfection; comes with Cut fries and fry sauce...standard nothing special. First timer watch out for the toothpick holding the sandwich upright. lol I noticed staff working the floor, consistently asking guess if they need anything. Above beyond service. Thanks to Tracy for great experience. (Murray location)

Houston hot chicken -Houstonian approved !!! Already been here a few times since they opened. Was super excited to have nearby. This last time I took my friend who was born and raised from Houston Texas- so you got his stamp of approval. The chicken is super juicy and hearty. I go with medium spice and the flavour is great . Their fries are crunchy and covered in a spice seasoning. I highly recommend their frozen strawberry hibiscus drink -absolutely perfect for a warmer day . Will be back soon enough for more bomb chiiiicken! Ayoo

I don't even know where go begin this place! The staff there was beyond nice, the chicken & waffles were to die for! In fact, they were the best chicken and waffles I've ever had, and the sauce that comes with the fries is fire! I'll definitely be back!

Me and my girlfriend came here for a date and I believe reading into it would be beneficial before dining. The service was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was also very fun and enjoyable. The food was exceptional. We got the "spicy" level of heat on the original and I was not expecting anything too crazy but when I tried it, I was very wrong. If you can't handle a lot of spice i recommend the mild or under. Even though it was very spicy, the food was amazing. Overall, the experience was great and I could see it as a fun challenge dining here.

Texas Caesar Salad with lemon pepper chicken. So freaking good.

This place is amazing. I've been to this business twice and it has been incredible each time. The chicken is so tender and so flavorful. The guy who took our order was so helpful and kind. He went above and beyond for us. I think his name was Julio. Great guy. The maple waffle shake was delicious. Everything we ate was amazing and I can't wait to go back. Best chicken place in Utah.

I have thought about this slushy periodically for awhile now... and want to try the other 2 flavors I didn't experience. Everyone here was very friendly and you can tell they emphasize a fun work environment and customer service. The food was good, but be prepared to wait- it is fresh, which is the whole point. It was a bit expensive for fast food, but I guess everything is lately. That being said, you probably could get one meal and split it between two people- I definitely eat my fair share, and feel like the portions were massive. If you like spicy food- get the hotter option than you think. I got medium and didn't feel like it was as spicy as I wanted. Overall it was great!

    Ha B.

They ain't lying to ya when they say the chicken was hot! Great food, clean space, fast service. Definitely will be back! I got the second spiciest one and was just sweating through my meal. PS. Be ready to sign a waiver if you want to do the spiciest level...I'm personally curious to know who can handle that.

Chicken tender and waffle with fries
    Rachel H.

My friend and I tried this place tonight and we were both disappointed. The menu was confusing and the worker tried to explain it but he was mumbling and made it difficult. I ordered chicken tenders with a waffle and fries. I didn't love the flavor of the chicken plus it was very greasy. The fries had an interesting spice on them. The waffle was actually ok. I felt it was all very over priced and it didn't taste good. I also didn't like that they charge if you want more than one of their tiny cups of dipping sauce. I definitely won't go back, especially since I left feeling sick and I was still hungry since I couldn't eat the food.

So I think in talking to most of my friends I got a good view on the food, and presentation. I had a starter of Totchos, and the Beef Dipper for my entrée. Both were excellent, I shared my Totchos. These are tater tot nachos, they were excellent, normally I don't like cheese sauce on Nachos, but given the consistency and flavor of this sauce (house made, I'm guessing. Not canned) They were excellent. The Beef Dipper and Au Jus, also top notch! Generally in a French dip, there is a lot of fatty pieces, this was not that. Also at my table was the Chile Verde bowl, this one has a kick... but my friend having it really enjoyed it. The fish and chips was great, smelled fresh. Lets talk about the sides. Choice of Fries (appeared to be battered fries, always a favorite of mine.) Tots, or house made potato chips. I had the Potato Chips with mine, these were excellent, crisp and tender on the inside. The Athena (Lamb Burger) got rave reviews from one at the table The Service: Because we were in a large group they advised us they were going to be taking our orders as we came in so not to overwhelm the kitchen staff. Excellent communication throughout service given that we were a large group. I talked to one of the Owners, Laurie, I could tell she had a huge sense of pride in the place. Very friendly! The Restaurant: Great atmosphere, Fun artwork, best of all, VERY Clean, nothing sticky or no grease buildup on any surface. The glass ware on the wall behind the bar as all polished. In the bar area they stack their silver, tableware, condiments etc. in a cute little cozy box on the table, with the main dining area setup as a diner with the traditional paper napkin and silverware. For a diner motif to have shined silver and glassware is a nice touch! Summary: Eat here! The prices are reasonable, the food is excellent, when I looked at the menu online I was a little put off by no actual entrée's on the dinner menu, however the in house experience made up for that, it's a pub food vibe and they are doing it well!

Only reason I haven't been back is because eating out is a whole-family decision. What you get at Bumblebees is, in my opinion, a rare and odd fusion of foods that loosely fall into the realm of Bulgogi and Primanti Brothers (think fries plus bulgogi). The interior is appropriately dive-y. The service isn't surprising or especially fast (I recall it being respectable), but...that unique combination is only akin to having chili Mac (chili over spaghetti) from Hard times in DC. So...it's in that vein of highly flavored meat over a base starch that is cooked in such a way as to carry the flavor and not hamper it...every time I drive by, I wish my family liked spicy things more - it's totally worth it!!

I knew from the parking lot this place was a winner. Once inside, it had a welcoming atmosphere and people inside were all having a good time. Our waitress Ashley was really helpful and checked if the pesto was made with nuts as we have peanut and tree nut allergies in our family. We ended up getting quite a feast of plates and then topped it off with two desserts- the bread pudding and the German chocolate cake (couldn't come to a family agreement so had to get both!). "Don't worry honey, it's okay to look, and also throw money at the half-naked women! I promise you won't get in trouble!" Uh-huh. ;) Alright, I digress. Awkwardness aside, Prohibition is a really great place to enjoy a classy dinner, where the meat is served on a place AND on stage, and the cheesecake comes with the price of admission! Speaking of admission, as my wife and I were guests, being shepherded along by our friend, I cannot recall exactly what the "cover charge" was (not much, if I remember correctly...less than $20 for two?), and if reservations are *required*, I cannot say for certain, but I would say they are *recommended* at the very least, because our showtime was packed. Anyway, once paid, you are escorted through a secret bookcase door (SLC residents sure do love their speakeasies, don't they?), and into the dining hall and saloon, where you're soon to have your socks knocked off...well, someone's clothes are coming off, anyway! We were given a table that I dismissively thought was tucked away pretty far in the back and out of the way, but it ended up being one of the best seats in the house, as the table where the performers gathered, prepped, and returned to was just adjacent to us, so we were about as up close and personal as you can get, without getting yourselves arrested. Each of the dancers brought their own style, flair, and wardrobe to their performances, which were spirited and energetic, and a touch racy, without devolving into outright debauchery. It may be an (18+? 21+?) venue, but alcohol restrictions aside, I wouldn't hesitate to take older, more mature teens to a show with similar content. We ordered a smattering of smaller dishes, as we weren't particularly hungry, but the Mishima Wagyu tacos were fantastic (as you would expect), as was the Fedora Fin (Za'atar-crusted ahi tuna), and all of our cocktails. As the show is timed event with multiple performances per night, both food and bev are fired out of the kitchen/bar faster than the bullets from a Tommy Gun, but with far better accuracy. The whole operation here was honestly very impressive, from start to finish. Coming from a progressive city like Portland, it's always struck me a little odd that places that, by reputation, strike you as more conservative end up having some of the best, most wild entertainment venues, that you only wish you had back home. Prohibition is one of these places that I would rather see in my downtown, instead of the litany of seedy strip joints pushing for maximum titilation, but with only a fraction of the class and sophistication. Prohibition is good, clean fun, masquerading as something illicit, which is the heart of what makes it work so well.

It's gotten so bad, we thought they changed hands. When manager Joey McDowel called, I told him we already decided not to return after being almost weekly customers for over a year. Food & service changed & are no longer good. He ignored me & said since we got 2 different pepperoni pizzas that were both missing pepperoni, they couldn't make us happy & we shouldn't bother going back! I had already made it clear that after our last visit, we had no intention of going back, so there was no need for his call, but he continued by threatening me with trespass if we ever go there again! WHO THE HELL TRAINED THIS INFANTILE BABY? He must be a relative, or he'd never have this job. He is not suited & too big for his tiny little britches. My husband is furious, he's going to corporate & the owners, he couldn't believe what he heard. We're in our 70's, our son is a classically trained chef who liked the pizza here until it wasn't good, my family owned bars & restaurants for years & my husband & I have eaten our way around the world twice but have never been insulted over a pizza. We know Skackwater puts pepperoni under the cheese, it's not rocket science or anything new, but when there is ZERO pepperoni, there is ZERO pepperoni. That's not our fault; it's the fault of Slackwater & managers like Joey who only make things worse. He has 0 people skills & his threatening demeanor is concerning. He was there for the 4-hour episode, where like criminals trying to prove our innocence, we had to rip off hunks of dough & hold them up to prove pizza #1 had only sauce, no cheese, then scrap the cheese off pizza #2 to prove there was no pepperoni underneath & that was after waiting almost 2 hours for them to arrive! After that Joey offered to comp the pizzas & admitted they were having problems in the kitchen. We declined remakes because my husband was waiting at home for his dinner, we were exhausted & just wanted to go. Joey forgot to put in the to-go pizza & we waited another hour for that! No comps, but we paid & left. The to-go pizza looked like a burnt hockey puck. I called & got yet ANOTHER manager who said she'd put a gift card at the front desk that would cover our food, alcohol & something extra for the time we spent, it should have been over $100. We waited 6 weeks & went back, but no gift card. Joey stupidly let it slip that they make so many gift cards for people who never come back that they throw them away every few weeks. That said it all for me! At our revisit, we spent over an hour being interrogated by another manager, she came back 3 times asking for details. We had no time to talk, eat or relax, at one point I told her to forget the gift card, it wasn't worth the hassle. I had spent time pulling up dates, texts & pictures for her & after 2 hours she disappeared & only left us a $50 gift card, 1/2 of what we spent! Bad business. I wasn't going to fight with these people; they make lame excuses & do what they want, so we paid & left. They have no idea how to run a restaurant & apparently don't know what repeat business is worth, which is sad, because people won't keep paying for poor service & bad food. Eventually the Herriman franchise will either change hands or go under. The final straw came Saturday. Against my better judgement after being called by family members who were driving through UT & wanted to make a fast stop at our house for dinner, I called Slackwater to order pizza so they could eat & get quickly back on the road. We ordered 1 cheese, 1 Ironhorse & 1 pepperoni with extra cheese, we got other stuff, but this is about pizza. I got an Ironhorse & 2 PLAIN CHEESE pizzas! All 3 were small & burnt. When I called, I was told to look under the cheese! OMG, we get that Slackwater puts pepperoni under the cheese, we ate there almost every week for a year & told them we had done a full search of the pizza before we called, but there was ZERO pepperoni! We didn't have time to wait for another pizza, so I declined a remake. A manager got on & offered to take the pizzas off our bill. I still don't see the credit & probably never will. Joey never said let me speak to the kitchen, sorry for the 3-hour wait, sometimes when things get busy a topping or an entire order gets forgotten or even, I'm sure things will be better if you try again. NO, Joey chose instead to threaten me, so I wouldn't go there again if Joey paid me to go. There are too many places to dine in this area where we enjoy the food & service. Slackwater is closer, but we'd rather travel than come in contact with a man so unstable he thinks it's best to threaten senior citizens, than make things right when he's the one who made the mistake. After his remarks, we don't feel safe going there. If he gets fired, the kitchen & service will most likely return to normal.
