I have never had a bad experience, and i go often! The staff is always wonderful, and the food is delicious and consistent every time! The only thing that needs improvement is the packaging of the salads. Customer service has been exceptional...very friendly, polite and knowledgeable about the food. The fries are good. The strips were soggy due to the pickle on top. The nuggets are ok but they tasted like they were cooked an hour ago and we're sitting under the heat lamp. The breading don't taste like it has much flavor. Just had a delicious chicken sandwich at Houston Texas Hot Chicken! My partner tried the super hot Houston on his tender and had to sign a waiver--it was intense! He said it was a one-time experience but fun. I went for the cheesy chicken sandwich with medium heat, and it had just the right amount of kick. The flavors were on point, and the staff were super friendly, especially checking in on my partner after his spicy ordeal. First impression walking in is that the place was clean and maybe targeted at a crowd a bit younger than us. That's ok, we're always up for trying new places, especially if they deliver on their product. In this case they do just that. The employees were noticeably friendly from the get go and took our order with efficiency. Off we went to fill drinks and settle into a table. Speaking of, the chairs in the dining area are surprisingly comfy. The food was delivered to the table in short order and it was very good. The chicken was very high quality and spices were great. We ordered the mild and it was exactly that. Just a hint of heat, but nothing that makes the beads of sweat form on your brow. The sauce is also pretty sweet. The single chicken tender and fries are enough to make a meal, let alone having a sandwich to polish off. My wife had to take some home. Halfway through our meal we decided to add a strawberry shake to our meal. While it was awesome, it was not something that could be sucked through a straw as it was so thick. Even after getting home, it was still only spoon edible. So good though. Throughout our meal, everyone in the dining area were visited by employees and the night manager (Kara, I think) to see how they were enjoying their meal. This is a nice genuine touch to ensure happy customers. If you go you can expect to pay $16-20 per person for a sandwich, fries, and drink. The tenders were amazing, the Medium spice level was my favorite, as it had just enough kick without being over the top. I think I would get Medium tenders next time but if I get the sandwich, Spicy because that cold slaw tones it down a bit. Visited Houston TX Hot Chicken and tried their strips, burgers, and drinks. I'm used to spicy so I got their "spicy" and oh my gosh, my forehead was dripping at my desk. If you're used to spicy I might recommend ordering a level below so that you don't hate yourself. Fries were also very delicious. I liked the seasoning on them - could have been fried a little more but that's okay. Finally for my drink I got their hibiscus lemonade and it was DELICIOUS. Hibiscus is one of my favorite flavors (I'm Mexican and it's a key flavor) so I was ecstatic they had it as an option. It's ok. It's not the Texas chicken and waffles I was raised eating or what I was hoping for. Texans hold things to high standards that put the Texas label on it, unless it's from Dallas. There's not long lines because the demand is high. There's long lines because there's one cashier and people are staring at the menu asking questions. We waited in line 10 minutes to order at 4:00 pm and received our almost cold food in less than 2 minutes. It definitely wasn't hot or fresh. Just meh. I don't understand the waffles. It tasted like those waffles you get in a bag at a cheap hotel continental breakfast. The soda machine was out of ice. Half the beverages were out. I asked one of the workers for ice and she seemed confused. She disappeared in the back and returned with my cups with about 3 cubes in each. I didn't realize rationing ice was a thing. I am a repeating customer of HHC in both the ruby and newport hwy location. my boyfriend and I enjoy a meal from here almost weekly and we love the food. Tonight we went to get some take out through the drive through window which we don't usually do. Our server was Alexis S. And she was very rude to us and had no interaction at all with us besides rolling her eyes and telling us the total price of our food. Really disappointing experience. Cole slaw was good and crunchy but a little thin which did a number on the buns. Fries were very fresh and crispy, but be ready for a heavy handed seasoning blend. They couldn't print my receipt, so i'm not exactly sure how it came to $47.10 for 5 tenders, 2 fries and two drinks. It seemed they were cooking to order, it took quite a while to get our food. We went here for the first time today and had an amazing experience. The restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful. When we arrived we talked with the worker at the register about it being our first time and she had plenty of great recommendations for us to try. We ordered the cheesy hot chicken sandwich with honey butter chicken, the original chicken sandwich with lemon pepper chicken, and a mild tender. Both sandwiches came with their house french fries. To drink we got a chocolate milkshake and blueberry lavender lemonade. Everything we ordered was fantastic! The chicken sandwiches were incredible, the cheesy chicken sandwich was my favorite and the perfect combination of spicy and sweet. We got the mild chicken tender, which was not spicy but had great flavor! I plan to try the medium next time. The cheese sauce is made in-house daily and was delicious, it had an incredible depth of flavor. The only recommendation I have is that the milkshake was very thick when it came out and took a while to melt before I could drink it through the straw. Once it did melt, however, it was amazing! They had so many fun lemonade varieties to choose from and the blueberry lavender was just the right amount of sweetness. We did delivery from the store. Food was good. It would be better at the restaurant, so just know what you're getting when you get it delivered. First the à la cart tender for around five dollars, comes with two tenders with the same type of "heat" and a pickle on top. The three tender box comes with three larger tenders. You get to pick the "heat" that you would like on it and the combo comes with fries and a side of sauce. I strongly recommend not getting the cheese sauce and replacing that with ranch. The house sauce is a bit of a mustard, hot sauce, type of liquid which wasn't a fan but some people probably do enjoy it, again would default to ranch. Now for the heat of these chicken tenders, I would suggest a mix between mild and medium...the medium had a lot of heat and the spicy (habanero) wasn't sweat worthy but packed a punch. Great atmosphere and very busy on a Friday night at 8:00. I ordered two pieces of chicken and the Belgian waffle, based on the photo over the cash register. I also ordered a side of BBQ sauce for a dollar and a frozen lemonade. The medium spicy chicken was good, but not piping hot like Dave's. The waffle came with Mrs. Butterworths on the side. I tried it on the chicken for the first time. Not bad, but it would've been better if it was real maple syrup. The bbq sauce that I paid a dollar for was a single tub of some cheap ass grocery store sauce that should've been free. It came with fries although fries weren't on the photo. Wow! pretty happy with this place. What an excellent addition to Spokane. We went the day after Thanksgiving, and it was a bit packed with a long line, but I know it is still new to the area. Area was clean with staff actively cleaning tables. Manager came out and let everyone know they were running a bit backed up, but it was worth the wait. I like some heat and am known to eat some spicy stuff, but this place is no Joke! I would say I like yellow bird habenaro or even there special edition habenaro as a spicy sauce. So I went spicy and my wife went honey butter for the mild flare. Umm, SPICY IS SERIOUSLY SPICY, hotter than yellow bird. Honestly I think if you bit into a raw habanero that is about where spicy is. So I will be in the medium camp next time. That being said every part was really great. Strawberry habiscus lemonaide was just the right sweet and cold with the spicy chicken Fries were nicely seasoned and went perfect with the house sauce. Pickles were fresh and just a bit vinegar (i would get more next time and I am not even a pickle head) The chicken spicy and honey butter had just a nice light breading. Just right and you can tell the chicken isn't frozen, it really is very good. Also don't sleep on that cilantro sauce/ was very good with the fries.
