Overall good hotpot, and I love that they also have good sushi available (that's my favorite to get soup and sushi). It's fairly expensive but we've been at least 5 times and all have been consistently good experiences, minus the kid's height policy. Don't bring children here... charging 17$ for a 4 and 5 yr olds is a rip-off when they don't eat much. I feel like charging age over height makes way more sense, and I wish the management would change that policy.. otherwise they miss out on service because we don't bring our family here now, and we only come on date nights, which is a bummer because I like giving my kids a hot pot experience even if they just try a few new things. Overall, we think it's worth visiting for adults and you'll probably really enjoy the experience. read more

Customer service matters just as much as the food. Tonight, I had a disappointing experience at a restaurant I've supported consistently, visiting about once a week. I've overlooked unfriendly interactions in the past because the food and service from the staff have generally been good. Unfortunately, tonight changed my perspective. I ordered a drink that was recommended by my server, but after tasting it, I realized I didn't like it. I politely let the server know and ordered a different drink instead. At no point was I informed that I would still be charged for the original drink. When I received my bill and questioned the charge, I was told management would not remove it. What was even more disappointing was the way the situation was handled. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, I was met with hostility and told that if I didn't like it, I could "get the hell out." This wasn't about the cost of a drink--it was about respect, professionalism, and how loyal customers are treated. As a business owner myself, I understand that not every situation will end with a customer getting what they want. However, there is always a way to communicate with kindness and professionalism. Because of this experience, I have made the decision not to return. I hope this serves as a reminder to all businesses that customer service leaves a lasting impression--sometimes even more than the product itself. read more

We finally made it to HQ to give them try. It was lunch on a weekday. We arrived around 12:45 I think, and found an almost empty establishment. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server showed up immediately and took our drink order and explained how things work. Patrons have the choice between KBBQ or Hot Pot, or for $5 more, you can have both. The only "catch" is that everyone at the table has to do both if anyone at the table does. (I would always choose both so no big deal for me). Good selections of meat for KBBQ. The Hot Pot selections of both meat and vegetables are a little limited (we're from California so we're accustomed to more variety, especially in the veggie department). Everything was good. Service was very attentive and helpful. The place is clean, well organized, and nicely decorated. There's one other place in town I plan to try for Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, then it's very likely we'll be back. read more

I've been here before and typically it's relatively nice, but today we go there around 3:15-ish. The wait time said 10 minutes and we joined on the Yelp wait list, but they didn't even try to seat us to 3:55pm almost 4pm and when i asked if we'd get the lunch special because we got there 40 minutes before hand, they said we had to be seated before 3:30pm to get the lunch special, but no one would help us and the wait time was very incorrect. I felt like a idiot waiting all that time and it wasn't even busy at all, and they even tried to tell me that it was only the weekends and then they backtracked and said it was Friday. Duh!! This place was revolting. A long black hair was floating in the broth brought to my table, which was an instant red flag. The shrimp were not cleaned at all and still had poop in them. The beef portions looked old and not fresh, and the broth tasted terrible. The final straw was the fish balls, which were clearly spoiled and smelled absolutely foul. I couldn't eat them. On top of all that, it was wildly overpriced, about $40 for what amounted to low-quality, cheaply made food. They market it as a deal because it's "all you can eat," but that doesn't matter when the food is gross and borderline unsafe. This place is a money grab, plain and simple. The server was attentive and had good communication with the children. I was taken as a guest for Father's Day by my kids. They have many food options for the bbq grill, almost an overwhelming number. I chose mostly seafood options (garlic shrimp, green mussels, calamari, and the like) and one beef option (brisket). Loved the seafood, but the brisket was tough and tasteless, even after using some of their sauces on it. The restaurant was clean and not too crowded despite it being Father's Day. The meat tasted strange and we all ended up with stomach issues on the way home. They charged a 10 year old (who is small for his size according to his pediatrician last month) full adult price. We absolutely love the fact that Korean BBQ is available in our area. If you've never had Korean BBQ - you owe it to yourself and your family to try it asap! The protein selections are GREAT. The dessert selection is good but, the side selections are limited. The two side selections are kimchee and cheese corn. On our last visit - something was terribly wrong with the kimchee. It didn't look right and it tasted horrible. But, we've been here many times and it's usually good. When you select the BBQ, you also get a huge selection of sushi - which is very good - but the proteins are SO GOOD - I don't want to fill up on rice! The Beef Bulgogi and the Spicy beef bulgogi are absolutely delicious! Start with those two and branch out from there. Good atmosphere. Reasonably priced and just a blessing that it's here in Pensacola! (There is another Korean BBQ joint in Pensacola. It's good, too. But, this one is hands down BETTER.) I would love a huge selection of Korean side dishes - like Korean BBQs in larger cities - but, I'm willing to settle for the limited sides - since the BBQ is SO GOOD! I was in town for the weekend and I wanted some AYCE Hot Pot. Coming from North Metro Atlanta, I had high expectations and taste for Hot Pot. I tried HQ in Duluth, GA before so I had a taste already. The parking lot was super huge and you had tons of picks of good parking. We came in a early Sunday evening and there was not many cars in the parking lot. Upon arrival, we were seated right away. They tried to seat us in some half booth that we turned down as I wanted a full booth. Dinner Hot Pot AYCE is $33.99 and it's $5 more if you want to get Korean BBQ and Hot Pot together. I will get straight to it, this place stands out from every single Hot Pot AYCE that I have ever gone to. This place has huge Snow Crab Legs and Oysters!!!! I was amazed by this. I must of ate like 5lbs of crab legs and oysters. The oysters and crab legs were super fresh and big. The jump shrimp with head on was fresh and huge. I could of stayed here for hours and ate oysters and crab legs. The sauce bar is tiny here and could use alittle more condiments and variety. One thing I love is sesame sauce, peanut sauce, and hot oil. I didn't see any of it there. I may have missed it. I wish there was more side dishes in the bar area as well. This place has the same vegetables and meats as the other hot pots. There was beef filet mignon which I didn't not try but will again next time. Table service wasn't so good for me, but it probaly is because our waitress had tables somewhere eles and we were the one table in the other section. I had to ask for refills, napkins, and etc. She never came by to check on us. The only time that she came by was to bring us food that we ordered on our tablet. And this is time when I requested, refills, napkins, and etc. There was a table behind us that definitely wasn't happy with waitress service as well as she never went to check on them too. Luckily I really enjoy the oysters and crab legs and didn't care about the lack of good table service. Even the table service stunk, I still left a 20% tip. Unless you go to their "sad salad bar with "seaweed salad " and oranges lol , next up the grills ... I have never been so confused in my life when the server brought out 15 packs of $1 tree butter ? I asked what that was for l I was told to grease the pan ... with no choice we tried that ... hope you came expecting meat boiled on a grilling pan in margarine . We asked for spoons and we got plastic wear ... the "prime" cuts of meat that come out as rubbery as a tire cooked or UNCOOKED OR BROWN UNCOOKED SHORT-RIBS. Anyone who knows anything about meat knows it is not to be eaten when it's raw and BROWN . But make sure you don't leave food because they let you know that you will be charged $12.99 per every so ounces of left over food . When the first open this place was pretty busy and host claims the wait was over 2 hours. I think they over estimated which they have turned away some business. I always had great service. I been here over four times already. A little pricey, but they have a huge selection of ingredients to choose from. The beef bulgogi needs to be a little more tender maybe use a dash of baking soda to the marinade to help tenderize the meat. Their condiment bar needs more Korean side dish offerings (pickled radish, bean sprouts, Kim chi, spicy eggs, spicy squid, watercress, etc) My only complaint is when there are 8 tables using the bbq grill, the place becomes smoky. This was the issue with Meats 2 (now Lee's) but they since corrected and upgraded their exhaust system. This is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. They should upgrade a good exhaust system over each table to capture all the smoke from the grill. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for about two years, and it has always been a great experience until today. Our waitress was lovely. The food is still great, but the service completely changed our impression. There was a man handling seating at the front with a mullet, and he had the worst attitude we have ever encountered here. We had never seen him before. He first sat us at a tiny corner table, then moved us to a six person table even though it was just the two of us. When we politely asked to sit at a different booth, he immediately gave us attitude. Right after, he seated a loud, rowdy group at a six person table directly behind us. The whole situation felt disorganized and uncomfortable. On top of that, he was giving dirty looks to multiple guests walking in, not just us. It made the entire atmosphere feel unwelcoming. If you do not want to work at this place then don't. Don't make it everyone else's problem that you hate working here. We just did BBQ. They have a pretty decent all you can eat menu. The BBQ all you can eat includes sushi as well, but didn't try anything. Most of the food was good. The buffet bar with various sauces, seasonings, and sides was well stocked. The seaweed salad was my favorite. Kimchi wasn't great. Sliced angus short rib was very fatty. Some pieces were inedible because of how much fat there was. The shrimp was my favorite- good size and tasted fresh. Didn't care for the oysters. Bulgogi beef was good too. Sliced pork was good too, but needed sauces as it wasn't marinated in anything. The service was the worst part of the dining experience. The only good thing our server did was bring drink refills without being asked. Besides that it was very bad. Dropping off food without saying anything, not asking how anything was. I tried the BBQ and the hot pot, and while the BBQ is nice, there's no real way to keep anything from sticking to the pan-even with the sesame oil or vinegar that's available. However, the hot POT of soup is divine! I especially love the Japanese Curry. Overall it was delicious, however- (If you accidentally order too much and don't want to pay for the extra, put all the (extra/leftover) meats in your hotpot and it will be considered "soup" and gets thrown out regardless!Shhhhh!!!!), I wish there was a way to take the soup "to-go" (or anything, for that matter!) but there's not. The food was just okay -- nothing bad, but nothing special either. I didn't mind paying full adult price for myself, and I was even charged for hot pot despite not eating it, which I let go. However, what really crossed the line was being charged full adult price for both Korean BBQ and hot pot for my 12-year-old daughter. That felt completely unreasonable. This wasn't our first experience either. A while back, we came with my 12-year-old son who doesn't eat Asian food at all, and we walked out because they still wanted to charge him full price even though he wasn't eating. We decided to give it another try without him, and the same issue happened again with my daughter. Been waiting for four months for them to open and I am happy to report HQ Korean bbq is a going to be a great place to check out. There are a couple things I will cover in my review, there is one "oh no no no" and a couple of suggestions. First off we went on a Friday afternoon. We were greeted immediately and was told there would be a five minute wait. We were sat at a decent sized table with a round grill and two hotpot stations. The price is $32 for the bbq with a $5 up charge for hotpot which I think is worth it I like having both options available. We got to ordering quickly all from a super slick iPad: beef tongue, pork cheek, spicy bulgogi, shrimp and some veggies with lettuce wraps. The meat was brought after a few minutes but WAIT watch for cross contamination the shrimp were on the same plate as the lettuce wraps. I know they have been open for only a week at this time but seriously this is HUGE. If it happened to us how many other people did this happen to? We made him take the lettuce back and to my knowledge I was brought back fresh lettuce in its own bowl. ** EDIT now looking at others pictures I see it happening with scallops and lettuce! Please this is a problem we are going to have an outbreak of foodborn illness. I am a nurse and this is a huge problem. Plenty of selection of meats. I particularly enjoyed the tongue and the pork belly and shrimp. Although when you order be aware if you say one pork belly you will get one strip of pork belly. I like this in a way it keeps you from being overwhelmed by too much meat to cook but also...darn it I want more at the same time too. The head off shrimp could be cleaned a little better if you know what I mean...If only had a knife. The service was great. She checked on us a proper about of times I think....providing clean plates and napkins. And now my nitpicks. The sauce bar...although it has plenty of choices it's missing a few Korean staples in lieu of things like "pink shrimp sauce". A simple add of Ssamjang would be appreciated. I feel like most places we are trying to appeal to the masses but if you are a true Korean bbq fan this would be a big miss. Another miss...the veggies. I've been to plenty of Korean bbq places and never have I ever seen sweet potato being offered as a veg but no daikon radish. Another miss. I did appreciate the king oyster mushrooms. The kimchi was also very good. Let's mix it up and get some cucumber kimchi too in there. Missing silverware? Not everyone is proficient with chopsticks and when we were told to cut the ribeye with the scissors...I mean ok it is thin enough...but come on... The cross contamination is a huge issue for me. I am alarmed it is now being documented more than once. I certainly hope that is addressed. Just be on guard. Will I be back...yes with caveats. read more

Don't think this place is authentic Korean BBQ. Meat quality is not the best. Some meats have a lot of uneatable fats, that were hard to separate from the actual meat. Other meats were dry and tough, and I couldn't change the taste with any amount of sauces. Also, veggies didn't seem very fresh either- with onion appearing wilted and bumpy. They got off on the wrong foot, as their first statement to our group of 6 was "you can't have that here" (referring to a water bottle a friend brought in...which I understand but it could've been said nicer and after a greeting). The friend put the water bottle back in the car...the second thing that was said was "you told me 5 didn't you?", which no we did not...we said 6. Just an unhappy man. Our server was kind, which elevated our experience a little bit. But, unfortunately, we were charged an extra kbbq fee in a tricky way (6 kbbq + drink + drink + 1 kbbq), which our friend failed to see initially but we caught before leaving. Secondly, 20% gratuity was included (which was not mentioned in receipt or verbally). Just FYI. If you are looking for a subpar kbbq establishment, looking to work out your jaw (with the tough meats), and work on some brain exercises with the receipt, this is the perfect place to go. I want to start by saying this isn't my first experience at HQ BBQ, and it wouldn't be fair to post something negative without acknowledging how many great visits I've had in the past. My wife and I have eaten here about a dozen times, and we've even brought groups of 10-12 people on several occasions. The food, service, and atmosphere have always been excellent. Many of the friends we introduced to the restaurant have since returned with their own families because they enjoyed it so much. Unfortunately, our experience last Friday (January 2, 2026) was really disappointing. My family planned to have lunch there, and I even took the day off work so we could go. We arrived at 12:30 PM, and while the hostess was friendly, she told us they were only serving dinner. I asked why, since the sign on the door clearly states lunch is served from Mon-Fri,12 PM to 3:30 PM, and we've eaten lunch there many times before. It wasn't a holiday, so the change didn't make sense. She checked with management and came back saying it was because Friday was considered "the start of the weekend." That explanation didn't match the posted hours or our past experiences, so we left and went to Fuji Sushi & Grill for their AYCE hotpot instead. I still think HQ BBQ is a great place, but this situation was frustrating and confusing, especially after planning our day around having lunch there. It's not the cost, it's the principle. read more

It's hard to give an accurate rating because I think this experience just depends on the person. First of all, it was VERY COLD, and yes it'll get warmer as you're paying to be your own chef sitting over your own food cooking, but it was uncomfortable while we waited for our drinks. Once the food started coming out, it was very quick! Note that as you're cooking the variety of meats right in front of you- you will go home smelling like said meats. Your jacket, purse, long hair,- meat smell. Just something to keep in mind. We came in with a large party and even though it normally seems convenient to order via tablet- if you're on the inside of the long tables it's hard to see what's on the menu. I enjoyed the sauce bar options with many seasonings and toppings. I wish there had been more carb options besides rice in the unlimited BBQ menu. If you're looking to cook your own meat this is your place! Bathroom was clean. Service was friendly but couldn't remember more than 3 people's drink orders at a time. It was $33 for the all you can eat, $6 for a beer, and an added tip. I guess I just don't want to cook my own food if I'm paying that much? To each their own! Lets talk about the talk of the town recently. Location/Ambiance: it is located behind Cordova Mall (right across the Craft). Inside there will be the big foyer where theres enough seating if there's a wait time. Clean and very modern looking. Spacious enough for big party. One thing I also want to pint out is that the exhaust is nOt strong enough to clear the air so you'll end up smelling bbq all day. Sides/Sauces: i love the sauce bar theres variety of asian sauces to choose from that cater to asian folks. Sides are very limited. I hope they will add more korean side dishes such as fishcakes, beans, marinated eggs or anything korean tradition sides. The cucumber kimci is very good, very flavorful. Radish is also one of my fave it has the right balance of sourness and sweetness to it, the taste is just right. The other choices are seaweed, traditional kimchi, edemame. Price/AYCE: we went both times ($21 Lunch and $31Dinner) Both times we were able to order all of meats options. You place the order in the tablet which is very convenient and accessible anytime you want to order something. The delivery of the food is very quick so you can certainly get your moneys worth since theres a time limit. Their veggies are also available thru the tablet. Service: servers are very attentive and quick to deliver your order. The burners are pretty quick and quick. Servers are very attentive to your needs if you need to get the plate replace they will come and replace it right away. All in all we are very satisfied customer.
