The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food came out fast. The meats were okay.

We finally made it to HQ to give them try. It was lunch on a weekday. We arrived around 12:45 I think, and found an almost empty establishment. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server showed up immediately and took our drink order and explained how things work. Patrons have the choice between KBBQ or Hot Pot, or for $5 more, you can have both. The only "catch" is that everyone at the table has to do both if anyone at the table does. (I would always choose both so no big deal for me). Good selections of meat for KBBQ. The Hot Pot selections of both meat and vegetables are a little limited (we're from California so we're accustomed to more variety, especially in the veggie department). Everything was good. Service was very attentive and helpful. The place is clean, well organized, and nicely decorated. There's one other place in town I plan to try for Korean BBQ & Hot Pot, then it's very likely we'll be back.

I was in town for the weekend and I wanted some AYCE Hot Pot. Coming from North Metro Atlanta, I had high expectations and taste for Hot Pot. I tried HQ in Duluth, GA before so I had a taste already. The parking lot was super huge and you had tons of picks of good parking. We came in a early Sunday evening and there was not many cars in the parking lot. Upon arrival, we were seated right away. They tried to seat us in some half booth that we turned down as I wanted a full booth. Dinner Hot Pot AYCE is $33.99 and it's $5 more if you want to get Korean BBQ and Hot Pot together. I will get straight to it, this place stands out from every single Hot Pot AYCE that I have ever gone to. This place has huge Snow Crab Legs and Oysters!!!! I was amazed by this. I must of ate like 5lbs of crab legs and oysters. The oysters and crab legs were super fresh and big. The jump shrimp with head on was fresh and huge. I could of stayed here for hours and ate oysters and crab legs. The sauce bar is tiny here and could use alittle more condiments and variety. One thing I love is sesame sauce, peanut sauce, and hot oil. I didn't see any of it there. I may have missed it. I wish there was more side dishes in the bar area as well. This place has the same vegetables and meats as the other hot pots. There was beef filet mignon which I didn't not try but will again next time. Table service wasn't so good for me, but it probaly is because our waitress had tables somewhere eles and we were the one table in the other section. I had to ask for refills, napkins, and etc. She never came by to check on us. The only time that she came by was to bring us food that we ordered on our tablet. And this is time when I requested, refills, napkins, and etc. There was a table behind us that definitely wasn't happy with waitress service as well as she never went to check on them too. Luckily I really enjoy the oysters and crab legs and didn't care about the lack of good table service. Even the table service stunk, I still left a 20% tip. I am hoping next time we come, the service will be even better.

Ask the Community - HQ Korean BBQ & Hot Pot

Since it's an all you can eat restaurant, does all parties have to pay the $35 or is it per table?

Everyone has to choose the same option at the table. Either $32.99 each person for only Hot Pot or only KBBQ and $37.99 each person for both Hot Pot and KBBQ. Or be seated separately at different tables, I guess.

How long can you stay to eat, I've read there is a time limit?

    2 hours

Can you share a menu please?

They don't actually have menus. Everything is displayed on the iPad

    How much is it?

$32.99 for Korean BBQ or hot pot, $37.99 for both!

Can you make a reservation here?

I'm not sure, but due to the restaurant being so new and with some waiting from 15 mins to 2 hours, they probably won't have reservations anytime soon. My suggestion would be to have someone call or get there and put a name down for the wait.

Here is the completed review with your additional details incorporated:…read more I recently visited **Kalbi Ichiban** in Pensacola, Florida, located in the area of town where I grew up. It was good to return to familiar surroundings and find a restaurant offering a different dining experience. The interior is attractive, clean, and inviting. The restaurant also offers Korean barbecue, with tabletop grills built into several booths. It is a nice option for families, groups, or anyone interested in a more interactive meal. I went specifically looking for authentic Korean food. Having experienced Bulgogi while serving in Korea, it quickly became one of my favorite dishes. Most chain restaurants do not do the dish particularly well, so I decided to give Kalbi Ichiban's version a try. My waiter, **Carson**, was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. He checked on me regularly without being intrusive and made the overall experience even better. Carson receives five stars from me. The meal came with Bulgogi, rice, and a choice of soup or salad. I selected fried rice and started with the hot and sour soup. I also ordered a side of kimchi because, in my opinion, a Korean meal is not complete without it. The hot and sour soup was excellent. It had great flavor, was well prepared, and was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fried rice was good, although nothing about it particularly stood out. The Bulgogi was tender and very flavorful, but it was wetter than traditional Bulgogi. Authentic Bulgogi is normally much drier, with the marinade cooked into the meat rather than leaving it with a gravy-like consistency. Even with that difference, the flavor was enjoyable. The kimchi was also very good and added the right touch to the meal. Interestingly, the hot and sour soup was spicier than the kimchi. However, different regions of Korea prepare kimchi in different ways, so the level of heat and flavor can vary considerably. Overall, I was pleased with the meal and would rate the food **8.5 out of 10**. After adding a couple of cocktails, I was also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the final bill was. I would rate the restaurant **two dollar signs out of five for price**, making it a good value for the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. Kalbi Ichiban may not serve Bulgogi exactly as I remember it from Korea, but it delivered a flavorful and satisfying meal. Combined with Carson's excellent service, the inviting atmosphere, and reasonable prices, it was an enjoyable dining experience and a restaurant I would visit again.

After reading some of these poor reviews posted for 86 Forks, it comes to my attention. Why would anyone finish their meal, pay for it, and then take the time to go online to post a bad review? Why not take the time before hand to ask what a certain dish or meal is - its flavor profile, spice(s), heat, etc.? We did ask the chef and she was more than happy to take the time to explain the dish's concept and let us taste prior to ordering. Read all the good and the bad reviews and ask yourself: 1. If unhappy with the dish, why clear your plate? 2. If not completely satisfied, why pay the bill? Why? Because it's simply not true. People like this are never going to be satisfied or happy. Never. Try 86 Forks for yourselves. Don't be afraid to ask the servers or better yet, ask the chef to explain the concept or allow you to taste something if you're unsure. Be adventurous and make up your own mind - you will not be disappointed. Please remember, this is not a Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Philippine, Italian, Mexican, etc. restaurant. Rather it is a fusion of the best flavors, spices, food pairings, and textures from all these cultures presented in a creative and distinct manner. Opinion: Heated from frozen and precooked. 3. Chicken Kung Pao Fried Rice was soggy, had zero flavor and was overwhelmingly salted. I would have preferred a 3.99 rice bowl from the freezer aisle in Publix over this garbage. 4. Pensacola Spritz cocktail was almost entirely sugar and tasted like a Shirley temple. Server was nice and ambiance was fine. Utter shame this slop steals business from local businesses that put in a respectable effort. (Comments above are opinions only based on a in person visit June 2026 and should not be taken as statements of fact. I have no way of knowing if the food is cooked from frozen. )

There is plenty of parking in this shopping center and we came on a Sunday evening. There was a 30 min wait time when we got there. Front host was super friendly. I love the seating here as it made you feel like you were at a picnic in the park but inside with A/C on. There are 2 sections of the restaurant. One section is for the AYCE Hot Pot and the other section is for AYCE Korean BBQ only. So it's not possible to do both at the same time. Side dishes are very minimal and you get it from the bar. There is also a sauce bar as well. We all decided to get Korean BBQ. We also opted for complementary miso soup. The highlights of the night were the following: Beef Brisket, Marinated Short Ribs (must have!!!), and Shrimp. We also had the beef bugoli and spicy calamari but it was just average. The marinated short ribs was the best meat out of all them. The grille itself takes a very long time to cook. The staff here was super friendly but there is just not enough staff here. (Not our super nice waiteess's fault!!) It took over 30 minutes for us to get our second round of meat here. I also had to flag her down for refills and more meat. Our dirty dishes were built up at our table and I had to round them up and take it to the dirty dish bucket. Both staff members just looked at me said to put it there when I asked where do the dirty dishes go. Price is $32.99 for AYCE Korean BBQ for each person. That's amazing is the prices includes a softdrink/ice tea. I have never seen this in GA ever. Price for the AYCE Hot Pot is $28.99. I didn't get a photo the menu as I only had Korean BBQ. There is also sign for 10% discounts for first responders (Fire, EMT, and Police) which is awesome as I have never seen that back in Georgia at a Korean BBQ/Hot Pot ever. Since this is the only AYCE Korean BBQ/Hot Pot in the Pensacola Beach area, I am going to have to recommend it if your in town and wanting some. Enjoy the photos!!

It's one thing to swing into a classy restaurant or belly up to a fine bar stool, but sometimes an old coot just wants a bun in one hand and the smell of grill smoke on his boots. That's where Brown Bagger delivers the goods, and then some. I pulled up to that truck on a sun‑soaked afternoon, and there was this fella let's call him Big Mike on the flattop slinging patties like he was born flipping 'em. Big Mike didn't just make my double Wagyu smash; he gave me a PhD in burger philosophy between laughs. "You ever notice," he said while slapping that sizzling meat like a pro wrestler body‑slamming a bad guy, "a burger's only as honest as the fist that builds it?" I tell ya what that man could sell sand in the desert and make you thank him for it. He stacked cheese, grilled onions, and that signature Bagger Sauce onto that bun with the sort of focus you usually only see from surgeons and ex‑wives signing divorce papers. Those burgers? Forget just good they're the kind of juicy, salty, glorious mess that makes you smack your lips and swear solemn oaths you never thought you'd swear in public. Smash‑style wagyu patties, fresh fixings, and just enough attitude to remind you that this? This is the golden era of eating food trucks parked next to bars, cold beer close at hand, and a butcher's apron of stories to take home with ya. So if you find yourself in Pensacola with a hankerin' for something that'll make you slap your knee and grin like a mule eatin' briars, roll your way over to the Brown Bagger. It ain't just a burger it's a roadside sermon in a bag, preached by a man who knows his beef and your funny bone. Amen.

THE OMAKASE EXPERIENCE…read more Once a month, Ichiban offers an Omakase experience for $100 per person. To make reservations they require $40 down payment then $60 at the event. This is limited to 6 people per event. So book well in advance. This sells out quick. This experience we had 12 courses total. $100 + $20 for tip, that is about $10 per course. You will get your money's worth. It is not recommended for picky people or people who always have special request. The chef will serve you whatever he decides serve. Each OMAKASE experience is never the same; therefore, your experience is special each time. Most of the items served are not available on their regular menu. But let me tell, everything was delicious. The fried salt and pepper flounder does require some careful attention because there were fishbones, but that was part of the experience. It was designed to slow you down, while he prepares the next course. The battered fried rice cake top with assortment of fresh fish, spicy mayo and eel sauce top with sprouts and bonito flakes was delicious! I advised the chef that they should add that to the menu. Chef Lin, also served BBQ short ribs which was his grandmother's recipe was melt in your mouth divine. The Toro nigiri brush with his special soy sauce melted in my mouth. There was no need to add soy sauce or wasabi and you shouldn't. It was delicious. Same applied to the snapper nigiri. The seafood soup with miso was a definition of umami flavor. It had shrimp, lobster, some other seafood, and the broth was flavorful. The shrimp with spicy mayo sauce was savory and creamy. Today was June 15, 2026 and their next seating is next month which is already sold out. I booked this experience in the beginning of May. I would suggest to go ahead and call Jonathan and reserve your seat in August. However, here is a secret, they may make an exception and you can reserve this experience depends on Chef Lin's availability.
