    Kimchi soondubu

I have been craving Korean food since getting back stateside a couple weeks ago. The atmosphere, service and food took me back to Seoul. It was lunchtime and dimly lit, which I don't mind. I ordered stir fry tteokbokki (rice cake) appetizer and kimchi soondubu. The food was really good, though a little light on the spiciness for me. The tteok was chewy and flavorful and the soondubu was warm, filling and just what I needed. Comfort food! The servers were attentive when needed to be and left you alone most of the time (in Korea most places leave you alone until you call them over). If I had some suggestions for improvements- offer disposable aprons, most Korean meals are served with banchan, I didn't receive any unless there was a self serve station I missed. I will be back to eat here again. This place is good for solo dining, even hotpot.

Way better than HQ down the road. The meat here is marinated well, is very fresh, and the banchan bar is extensive and very fresh. Friendly service and easy to get a table. Haven't experienced the soup side but have enjoyed the kbbq twice now.

My husband decided to surprise me by bringing me here. We both met while stationed in South Korea. We always have a hard time finding a good/ authentic Korean BBQ place with the experience of cooking our own food. We'll let me start by saying that I was fully satisfied with the device, the food, and the ambience inside. It is beautifully decorated. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

    Short ribs, brisket, shrimp

I've never done Korean BBQ so I can't compare it to other places but neither of us was a fan. The veggies and rice buffet wasn't maintained, so we had to ask them to refill things and put out more clean bowls. We got short ribs, brisket, and shrimp. The short ribs were mostly bone and fat, and chewy. The brisket was also chewy. The shrimp was shell on; I don't know if that's typical but made them really hard to peel and very messy. It seemed expensive for what we got, even though it was all you can eat. The waitress was attentive and came by often to see if we needed anything. However, our grill was not oiled until halfway through our meal. The tables seemed small for all the bowls necessary. That night one of us (the only one that ate shrimp) had food poisoning type symptoms. The only thing she ate that the other didn't all day was the shrimp. We made sure it was well cooked so it wasn't that it was undercooked. I have no intention of returning. It was worth a shot; we wanted to try something different.

So here's to not really a new kid in town, but I should say the upgraded version of the old place. Probably a new owner since they changed the name to Lee's hotpot korean bbq. The place is right beside petland and big lot area. The parking is open so theres enough space for everyone. When you go inside, the area is split into 3 different section- hotpot, regular, and the grill station. And so we chose, grill. Now to the main event, something you need to consider. If your party wants to do the grill, everybody needs to do the eat all you can and its not cheap. It cost roughly $33 person it comes with drinks, side dishes and meats. If you choose to grill, everyone needs to do it or else you will be transfered to their regular station for regular entre. The food. Their side dishes comes in various ways- they have the traditional kimchi, seasoned beansprouts and radish, raw carrots, mushroom, cucumber, zucchini, brocolli, lettuce, spinach rice and other garnishment that complimented the entire meal. The only thing thats lacking is the other main korean side dishes such as beans, radish salad, and fishcakes. Now the meats. Theres different spices for every protein. They offer beef, shrimp, squid, fish tofu, pork, and chicken which part of $33. They also offer galbi which is the korean ribs however theres an upcharged of $9 per plate if you want to go big. They will ask you to pick your first 3 meats per table depends on how big your party is and then they will come back and ask you again. They only do 3 meats at a time to avoid food being wasted. It also says on their menu that theres a time limit of 2 hrs. but the waiter said they dont really follow that rule The protein they served were very tasty from beef to pork, the spices they used and how they marinated the meats definitely more than 24 hrs to make it as taste like your eating at a korean home. This place definitely brought authentic korean dishes in town. This place is better than Kalbi korean place around downtown area. If you want to just go on a date with your love ones or go big with your family and friends or any occasion really, their grilling station has a bigger space to fit everybody. Try it and you wont get disappointed. Yours truly.

This restaurant is a really groovy spot that caters to two different feels at the same time! On one side of the restaurant, they've got all you can eat hotpot and on the other, it's all you can eat Korean bbq. I went for the Korean bbq and it did NOT disappoint. I love that the banchan (side dishes) is a self service bar INCLUDING RICE AND LETTUCE FOR LETTUCE WRAPS! It's nice that I can grab as much kimchi as I'd like instead of flagging down a server constantly for more, like I've been used to. The meats are absolutely delicious and of good quality. I recommend the marinated pork belly, garlic pork belly and marinated galbi as those are my absolute favorites! The pork belly is really soooo good! The layout of the restaurant is nice, however as a pregnant woman the wood chairs are a bit uncomfortable so when the hubby and I go back, I'll be bringing a pillow! Next time I'll try their milk tea as reviews have been pretty good and I'll be trying out the hotpot side when it gets a little cooler out. One thing to note is that they do a 10% discount for military, emt's, etc!

You can make a meal with a something similar to a bowl of ramen, or get tapas. We opted for tapas, 2 per person is about enough for a normal meal portion. In order of my preference, we ordered the following: 1. Ribs. The ribs were out of this world, and I don't even like ribs. They had a ginger, soy/teriyaki flavor, lots of tender meat, so good I used the sauce with the fries. 2. Tuna tacos. They were present as large chunks of seared tuna with excellent toppings, and hard shells. I would have preferred soft tacos, but still excellent. 3. Bao chicken bao cow. Very good, 2 steamed buns with meat and veggies, similar to a mini banh mi. 4. Ceviche. Good, but a very small portion, enough for 5-6 bites, not with the price per portion. 5. Duck fries. Good flavor, but no longer offered with poutine, which is what made it stand out in the first place. Not very original compared to other dishes. My wife also bought the kiss of the prom queen drink, which was extremely tart, which she loved and I hated ha. Mandy was our server, very friendly and genuine with perfect recommendations. We brought our baby too, no high chairs available, but we brought our own portable one.

Our waitress was incredible, very knowledgeable and patient with my families questions about the menu. She made the experience that much better! Food wise we had: -seaweed salad (standard but yummy, 7/10) -spicy cucumber salad (a table favorite, 9/10) -potstickers (another favorite, my niece is ready to return for these alone! 10/10) -chicken clay pot with rice (really good, but I wish there was some veg in there or something? Kind of one note, but still tasty. 7/10) -short rib clay pot (I didn't try this but my sister enjoyed it, 7/10) -Panang curry (a go to favorite, my niece is very happy to have another place in town to get it! She gave it a 10/10, I give it an 8. It was a little fishy for me and I prefer more liquid.) -eggplant in garlic sauce (this was a mixed reaction. My mom ordered it upon the waitresses advice that it wasn't too spicy but it actually ended up being too spicy for her to eat. I enjoyed it a lot though the texture of the eggplant was perfect and the flavors were very well balanced although it was the spiciest thing we had.8/10) -creme brulee milk tea with tapioca (I love boba but this was kind of boring.6/10) -cotton candy milk tea with rainbow jelly (14/10, the best I've ever had I think. We will come back for this again and again.!) Overall it was a really great experience and the pricing was quite reasonable, we got all that plus a couple sodas for $108 before the tip. The atmosphere is good, well lit, roomy booths, very clean and we liked the music.

It's one thing to swing into a classy restaurant or belly up to a fine bar stool, but sometimes an old coot just wants a bun in one hand and the smell of grill smoke on his boots. That's where Brown Bagger delivers the goods, and then some. I pulled up to that truck on a sun‑soaked afternoon, and there was this fella let's call him Big Mike on the flattop slinging patties like he was born flipping 'em. Big Mike didn't just make my double Wagyu smash; he gave me a PhD in burger philosophy between laughs. "You ever notice," he said while slapping that sizzling meat like a pro wrestler body‑slamming a bad guy, "a burger's only as honest as the fist that builds it?" I tell ya what that man could sell sand in the desert and make you thank him for it. He stacked cheese, grilled onions, and that signature Bagger Sauce onto that bun with the sort of focus you usually only see from surgeons and ex‑wives signing divorce papers. Those burgers? Forget just good they're the kind of juicy, salty, glorious mess that makes you smack your lips and swear solemn oaths you never thought you'd swear in public. Smash‑style wagyu patties, fresh fixings, and just enough attitude to remind you that this? This is the golden era of eating food trucks parked next to bars, cold beer close at hand, and a butcher's apron of stories to take home with ya. So if you find yourself in Pensacola with a hankerin' for something that'll make you slap your knee and grin like a mule eatin' briars, roll your way over to the Brown Bagger. THE OMAKASE EXPERIENCE…read more Once a month, Ichiban offers an Omakase experience for $100 per person. To make reservations they require $40 down payment then $60 at the event. This is limited to 6 people per event. So book well in advance. This sells out quick. This experience we had 12 courses total. $100 + $20 for tip, that is about $10 per course. You will get your money's worth. It is not recommended for picky people or people who always have special request. The chef will serve you whatever he decides serve. Each OMAKASE experience is never the same; therefore, your experience is special each time. Most of the items served are not available on their regular menu. But let me tell, everything was delicious. The fried salt and pepper flounder does require some careful attention because there were fishbones, but that was part of the experience. It was designed to slow you down, while he prepares the next course. The battered fried rice cake top with assortment of fresh fish, spicy mayo and eel sauce top with sprouts and bonito flakes was delicious! I advised the chef that they should add that to the menu. Chef Lin, also served BBQ short ribs which was his grandmother's recipe was melt in your mouth divine. The Toro nigiri brush with his special soy sauce melted in my mouth. There was no need to add soy sauce or wasabi and you shouldn't. It was delicious. Same applied to the snapper nigiri. The seafood soup with miso was a definition of umami flavor. It had shrimp, lobster, some other seafood, and the broth was flavorful. The shrimp with spicy mayo sauce was savory and creamy. Today was June 15, 2026 and their next seating is next month which is already sold out. I booked this experience in the beginning of May. I would suggest to go ahead and call Jonathan and reserve your seat in August. However, here is a secret, they may make an exception and you can reserve this experience depends on Chef Lin's availability. But for those special reservations, I was told it will cost $150 per person. Still, it is only limited to 6 people (no less no more) per special reservations. I rarely give 5 stars, and this experience deserves it. I predict, by word of mouth, this will be hardest reservations to get in Pensacola since it is limited.
