I found this spot in Buena Park for some lunch. Parking lot's small but I found a spot easily. I got the Bulgogi Kimbap and it was fresh and delicious! Highly recommend for some Kimbap for lunch.

The food was fresh and delicious! We had the kimbap, burdock, perilla, etc. The Korean fried chicken was yummy! Friendly service. We'll be back!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and grabbed a Pork Bulgogi Bowl, a Beef Bulgogi Bowl, and a Beef Bulgogi Kimbap. There was a wide selection of bowls and Kimbap that you could pick up ready to eat. There's no space for eating inside so we took our food to go. The staff was friendly and offered to answer any questions we may have had. Would recommend dropping by for a quick lunch or dinner bowl. The food was delicious and was very filling. The bowls were $10.50 and the Kimbap was $8-neither of which were very expensive.

An unassuming, strip mall korean joint serving hand held, picnic classics like kimbap, tteokbokki of various varieties + protein options. It's in a competitive location, as there are some excellent, comparable joints in the greater BP area. However, even with this in mind, the $ to quality ratio here is superb, like a satisfying sleeve of delicious kimbap for around 7 bucks good. This place is a no brainer for an anytime, cheap yet delicious korean food. 5 stars.

Yoooo came here from this Tiktok and instagram. I saw it twice and I was like "dam, it's a sign." and this place had like a $1 Ttekobkiii and it was FIRE i'm talking about FIRE WITH THE FOOD AND THE PLACE. Just look at the picture below. I ran out of storage so please ignore the right lower icon. My camera roll is filled with like 1000k pictures of my girlfriend and she won't let me delete them. I apologize brothers for the blurry picture but THE FOOD IS FIRE 10/10 for the $1 ttekobiik!! it fills you up so good if you like spicy, you came to the right place!! that spice got me siZzzling 10/10 for the portion! they have really good combo deals! 10/10 for the customer service it's a little small inside with a couple of seats

New banchan place in BP! All the side dishes are fresh and clean quality. Very decently priced and perfect portions to try variety. They have different kinds of kimbaps and korean lunchboxes that are made fresh each day. Also, the pumpkin shikhye is my new obsession here. Will definitely come back as a regular now.

MAMA'S TBK in a cup and ugly sticks (mozzarella sticks)
    Sammy N.

My sister & I saw the $1 deal (goes until end of March) for the Mama's TBK in a cup on TikTok. It was very good and had a lot inside especially for the size of the cup! It had rice cakes, corn, fish cakes, sausages, green onion, and kimchi cabbage. We both really liked the sauce because of the strong kimchi flavor & it wasn't too sweet like most tteokbokki sauces. The ugly sticks/mozzarella sticks (4 pieces for $7) were decent, but also a bit small for the price. They taste good dipped into the tteokbokki sauce! The cashier was super nice and checked in on us to see if we needed anything else while we were dining in :) Definitely would come back in the future!

    Mama's TBK, bulgogi fries

Saw that there was a soft opening for this spot and decided to give it a try! They have $1 tteokbokki until the end of March, so we ordered two Mama's TBK and bulgogi fries. I got my tteokbokki with normal spice and it did not overwhelm the flavors of the add ins. The portion is generous for ONE DOLLAR! It comes with rice cake, fish cake, sausage, cabbage, cheese and corn on top. Normally I do not order tteokbokki at restaurants because it is a simple dish to make at home, but this place makes theirs so yummy! The bulgogi fries were $17.50 and were just okay. They are generous with the toppings but I found it to be a bit underwhelming for the price. The shop is small and it is more of a take-out spot than dine-in. The cashier was very sweet and offered drinks on the house. Overall I definitely recommend giving this spot a try if you love Korean street food!

    TT N.

UHMAMAMA is an absolute game-changer for Korean street food lovers! I was blown away by the tteokbokki!!!!! EVEN though I usually shy away from spice, I couldn't get enough. It's the perfect mix of sweet, savory, and just the right kick. And don't even get me started on the portions -- they're HUGE. H U G E. Seriously, you'll be stuffed and still craving more. The vibes are immaculate, the food is fresh, and every bite is pure happiness. MY NEW GO TO KOREAN STREET FOOD SPOT

    Japchae
    Jessica P.

I catered japchae (korean glass noodles) from this place and it was very flavorful and delicious! I ordered a bunch of their other side dishes and they were all tasty. They have a wide variety of side dishes to choose from. If you're looking for quality sides dishes this place is perfect! Definitely will be back to try some of the hot foods and other items.

5 stars for the exceptional hospitality and delicious food! I came in a little past 2pm on a Saturday not knowing they close earlier than usual.. The nice lady already had the door locked but saw me walking up and still opened the door for me. They only had a few things left over but she happily explained what each item was. She even threw in a free pack of gobo for me. I had no idea what it was but she gave me a sample and it was delicious! I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes! The little kimbap rolls and gobo were the star of the show for me! Im so glad I discovered something new.

The restaurant is pretty huge but it gets super loud! The screens are always playing kpop groups with music playing and its always fun to watch. For food, I've tried a lot of their menu and everything is so good and shareable. The korean fried chicken is crispy, not dry, and seasoned so well! A favorite amongst the group was the beef intestine, which I've never had before and was pretty impressed by. It was super juicy and paired well with the scallions and sauce. Another favorite of the group was the corn cheese. It was like a pizza but corn cheese. My absolute tried and true is the pork belly. It is soo good, especially with the kimchi, peppers, and roasted garlic cloves. It definitely is my personal favorite on their menu! I can definitely see why this place is so popular!

The kimchi, kkakdugi (radish kimchi), and gat kimchi are absolutely delicious. I heard that the owner makes everything in-house, and you can really tell how much care and skill go into the food. The staff are also incredibly kind and welcoming every time I visit. Galbitang (Beef Short Rib Soup) - This is honestly the best galbitang I've had in both OC and LA. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the beef is always fresh and tender. Whenever I'm craving galbitang in the OC/LA area, this is the only place I go. Yukgaejang (Spicy Beef Soup) - The amount of ingredients they give you is amazing. I've had it both dining in and as takeout, and it's consistently delicious every single time. It's perfectly seasoned, and has just the right level of spice. As much as I love the galbitang, I think I actually enjoy the yukgaejang even more. Pork Cutlet (Donkatsu) - This place is known for its galbitang and seolleongtang, so I wasn't expecting much from the donkatsu... but why is it this good? The cabbage salad dressing that comes on the side is seriously addictive. The portion size is huge, there's no way I could finish it by myself. It has the crispy texture of Japanese katsu, while still having a great pork flavor of its own. I honestly think this could be considered one of their signature dishes. The interior is clean, newly built, and has a modern Korean hanok-style look. The servers were also friendly both times, so I didn't have any issues with the service or atmosphere. Unfortunately, the main problem for me was the food. I've eaten at the LA location before and never really thought the food tasted bad there, but at this Buena Park location, both visits gave me the impression that the food didn't taste as fresh as it should. On my most recent visit, I ordered the soondae gukbap, and the soondae had an unpleasant off smell and didn't taste very fresh. It almost tasted like it had been sitting for a while. On my first visit, I tried the regular pork gukbap, and the pork flavor was also stronger than I personally prefer. I do tend to like cleaner-tasting gukbap, but this stood out to me because I don't remember having the same issue at the LA location. After the first visit, I thought maybe it was just an off day since the restaurant was still new. But after having a similar impression on my second visit, I'm not sure if this location is consistent yet. The space is nice and the service was good, but for a gukbap restaurant, the food has to be the main reason to come back. Based on my two visits, this location was disappointing for me.

But since I moved out of LA, it's so inconvenient to get to. Enter Kyung Bok Kung -- what a find. I can get a fine dining korean bbq experience conveniently. I've been here a number of times, and this review reflects the few times I've been there. It's become the goto spot to take people from out of town who are visiting and want a Kbbq experience. Things I immediately noticed - lots of white and grey teslas in the parking lot during lunch - you know what that means? Golf Koreans. Yup. Go inside and you'll see incredibly well dressed older retired people with their buddies chatting up in private cubicles. Beautiful decor. It's like the background setting of a korean drama where there's a close-up of the guy and the girl - they're about to say something really serious to each other. The camera does a wide angle shot of them - and this is the restaurant it's shot in. Price points - this place isn't cheap, but they have incredibly good deals on a weekday lunch (cold noodles and meat set). Their dinner set course meals are priced around what you would expect from a quality steak house. This place is not as pricey as AB steak or Cote, but you're getting just as quality. Food - I've had the lunch set meals, the bbq grilled course, and ordered à la carte. One thing is for sure - they don't miss. I never had a 9 budda plate until I came here, but apparently it's like a thing that royals ate during the monarchy days. It was like a korean vegetarian taco. Very intricate (and slightly annoying) to put together but delicious - and a great test of your chopstick skills. Their braised beef (galbijjim) from their lunch set intersects savory, sweet, and tenderness in a way that only Korean grandmas do. I'm not a huge fan of Wagyu beef (just too rich and can never feel after eating it), but I have never felt that way coming out of here. Go here at night if you want to impress someone or celebrate something. Go here during lunch if you want a fantastic meal and want to see what the best korean food can taste like but don't want to break the bank.

I love that they give you a choice of instant noodles or kalguksu for free with the combo!! I love that their intestines come already cooked, so you don't have to wait for them. It's not fatty at all, since all the fat has been cooked down. Normally not a fan of small intestines since they can be grainy, but they taste really good at King Chang. While some may not enjoy the idea of eating the lower digestive tract of a cow's guts, gopchang is a Korean staple BBQ dish that is beloved and enjoyed by Koreans all over the world. We ordered the large intestine combo which includes the small intestines (gopchang 곱창), large intestines (daechang 대창) (my personal favorite), small cylindrical rice cakes (tteok), cabbage kimchi, and grilled onions. It is served on a large, heated, tilted cast-iron grill which allows it to simmer and the juices to flow downward where the onions, kimchi and tteok absorb the flavors. While the gopchang is ready to eat once it's served, letting it cook a little longer allows the edges and fat to go from soft and chewy to a crispy texture with enhanced flavor. As an Angeleno born and raised, I grew up eating grilled intestines whether it's in Korean dishes or in my tacos (tacos de tripas). It's nice to find places in Orange County that serve gopchang as well and with Koreans being more prevalent in Buena Park, it's not hard to find a Korean gopchang establishment. "Chang" (-창) translates to "intestines" and King Chang has proven they really are the "King of intestines." Long live the King.
