My mom enjoying the Avocado and Kale Salad (she loved this!) and I had Island Fish and Chips, perfectly crafted!

Enter a really breathtaking property with a view of the Ninini Point Lighthouse (also called the Nawiliwili Lighthouse). Close to the airport and central to the island of Kauai, this place is still a hidden gem. I really enjoy Ms. Fisher's Honeycomb salad, which is a nice spring mix with goat cheese, mac nuts and honey- with the honeycomb. Unfortunately the last time I ordered this there was far too much honeycomb and it was disgustingly stuck to my teeth, requiring me to leave the table and spit it out. I would just tell them "easy on the honeycomb." I was told to come to this restaurant years ago by one of my principals at a school I worked at, and he said the burgers were incredible. YES, they are. My favorite burger is the Penthouse Burger: Brioche Bun, Bacon Jam (MY FAVORITE), Bleu Cheese and delicious Truffle Fries. Another favorite is the Local Catch Fish Tacos- I get it with a side of garlic aioli sauce (tell them in advance and they will have time to make it). Topping this off with Tutu's Bread Pudding (with ginger) makes my day, as I can overlook the pool, ocean, and watch the planes arrive and take off over the lighthouse. The staff is superb: professional, kind and experienced. Whenever I would take my mother here, she would have a hard time leaving, and at one point refused (we got another refill of Diet Coke till she had her fill of the ambiance). Also- for beverages the Hawaiian Pain Killer and Auntie Hualani's Mai Tai are ono! Say aloha to my former student Samuel, if you see him!

Hualani's was the place to be during sunset. The gorgeous front view of the ocean and lighthouse were to die for. We came when there was a performance and the food was delicious. Our waiter Tron was very informative of the dishes and drinks. We enjoyed our time here. We ordered the coconut shrimps, and potstickers. They both were plentiful of flavor. My friends ordered the sea bass and the fish & chips, Ono seafood dish, and the dynamite dish. Everything was huge in portion and delicious.

I came to Kaua'i to celebrate a milestone birthday. I'm not a fan of seafood so I was looking for a restaurant with a nice steak option. Hualani's did not disappoint. Steve was my server and Sam was his assistant. They catered to my every need all night. I started with the honeycomb and goat cheese salad and it was divine. For my entree, I opted for the ribeye. It was a perfect med-rare and melted in my mouth. The sides were great as well. I had a specialty passionfruit martini cocktail and it was yummy. The views were beautiful. Overall, great experience from start to finish.

Amazing food! I would rate this place among any restaurants on any Hawaiian island. Service is also exceptional and the view is coastal beauty.

We decided to give Hualani's another try for our 10-year vow renewal dinner, and we're so glad we did--it absolutely did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the hostess was warm, welcoming, and attentive, which set the tone for the evening. The entire staff was fantastic, and we especially want to thank our server, Danielle, who was truly amazing and made our experience even more special. We came in with a large party of 15, and everything was handled seamlessly. The food was delicious across the board. The kids loved the chicken tenders and fries, and for myself, I ordered the lobster tempura to start along with the chili crunch poke--both were incredible, especially the poke, which was super fresh and full of flavor. My husband and I also split a steak, and it was cooked perfectly. Everyone in our group left happy the views outside are absolutely amazing as well. Perfect place for our dinner

After our wedding ceremony, we celebrated with an intimate dinner in Hualani's private dining room, and it was the perfect way to end an unforgettable day. The entire evening was such a beautiful blur of emotions, laughter, and love, but there are moments that stand out that we will cherish forever. The private room overlooking the ocean created the most breathtaking setting. As the sun began to set, we were able to share heartfelt toasts, look out over the water, and take in the incredible moment of having all the people we love gathered together in one place. It was truly magical and felt like the perfect way to celebrate the start of our marriage. Hualani's went above and beyond in helping us make the evening personal and memorable. They graciously allowed us to play a slideshow on the large screen in the dining area, which added such a meaningful touch and gave everyone a chance to relive special memories with us. It made the dinner feel even more like our own celebration. The food and drinks were unforgettable. The cocktails were absolutely incredible, and the ahi tuna was out of this world--fresh, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the evening. The steak and fish were cooked to perfection, and every dish was beautifully prepared. After dinner, we stepped out into the bar area and were greeted by the most incredible live music outside. With the ocean breeze, the beautiful surroundings, and the music playing in the background, it felt like the perfect ending to an already unforgettable day. From the stunning oceanfront setting to the incredible food, cocktails, and atmosphere, Hualani's gave us a wedding dinner experience we will always treasure. We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place to celebrate such a special moment with our family and friends.

My teenagers and I very much enjoyed our dinner here last night. It didn't hurt that the sunset was perfection, and the weather was top notch. The wine list included lots of options that I don't often see by the glass, such as Chenin Blanc and Albarino. The Aperature Chenin Blanc was so tasty alongside appetizers and seabass. For starters, we had the short rib potsticker (5 to an order with a peanutty curry sauce on top), and focaccia, which came with balsamic and olive oil, plus roasted garlic cloves. The chewy texture was great, it almost seemed air fried. Entrees: 2 kid's shells with cheese (mac'n cheese) generous portions, and no grief over 15 to ordering off children's menu. Also, the filet and seabass entrees. One came with mashed potatoes, one with rice, but we swapped. Could have with both choy, or sub in green beans. The filet was cooked perfectly to our liking at medium, and very tender. I'm not sure on the size, but it was plenty. The seabass came with 2 large pieces of fish. About half got eaten, it was so delicious, but the buttery texture made it very filling, so hey! Lunch today. Possibly the best aspect of the dinner, topping the food and divine weather, was our server, Ali'i He went above and beyond, chatting to the kids and myself, plus on point recommendations, and speedy water fills and checking in. He brought me wine tastes, solit a virgin daiquiri for my girls, and generally brought a spirit of Aloha. There was a nice duo singing on the patio, too, which really sealed the deal on the relaxing atmosphere. Bathrooms are also very luxurious.

This is the cutest, most beautiful, fine dining place in Kauai! They have live music (depending on the day), and the views are beautiful! The service here was delivered professionally by our server, Tristian, who gave us real good recommendations! :-) Shout out to him! Everything came out swiftly and the food was spectacular. I ordered the Hanalei Bae drink, (they could remove the alcohol if needed), and it was yummmmy! The Ahi Tuna app. was flavorful and fresh. My Opah dish was DELICIOUS!! My favorite thing during my visit. Usually, I don't like papaya, but it complimented the fish perfectly. I tried my boy's Ribs which were great and had nice sweetness to them! Lastly, the chocolate cake and banana lumpia were heavenly. When I am back in Kauai, i'll be here!

We've been coming to Kauai regularly for the past 15 years and somehow just discovered Hulania's--what a gem! The patio dining is absolutely beautiful, with amazing ocean views that make for a perfect evening. The food and service were both excellent. Even though it was completely packed on a Monday night in February, everything ran smoothly and the staff was attentive and friendly. Highlights for us were the scallops, French onion soup, and the sea bass--each dish was outstanding and beautifully prepared. This is definitely a new favorite for us and will be a must-visit on future trips. Highly recommend!

Fantastic restaurant with a great view of the ocean. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Their sea bass was by far the best we have ever had. Tina, our waitress was the absolute best! She made our evening so wonderful and I can't say enough about her. This is a must try and hopefully you will have Tina at your table. She alone made the experience amazing!

Located on the bottom floor of the Timbers Kaua'i - Ocean Club & Residences in Lihue, HI, it is the primary restaurant of the five-star resort, serving all 3 meals of the day. My wife and I took a leisurely walk from the nearby Marriott Ocean Club for lunch, and found the views, service, food, and beverage to be excellent. We arrived at 11 am just as they were switching to lunch service, and was lucky enough to get one of the front row tables with direct views of the ocean bay and the golf course. Mark was our friendly and attentive waiter, who kept our water glasses full and brought our food as soon as it was prepared. My wife started with a local brew, Lilikoi Ale ($10) from Kaua'i Island Brewing. She liked it a lot, easy to drink with a fruity aroma of passionfruit. I got an appetizer of Papaya & Fresh Mozzarella ($18), a must get if you like ripe papaya...first time having whole fruit with fresh mozzarella and it worked with generous portions. My wife got Fish & Chips ($29): two smaller pieces of well-fried battered marlin, an unusual fish for frying, but it worked for her: dense, mild, and filling. The accompanying fries were the typical skin-on shoestring, but was well done. I got the chili crunch bowl ($27), a beautifully presented 3 layer poke bowl: the ahi tuna was excellent quality, marinated hot with chili flakes to make good poke; the rice was well steamed and cooled, and the base was a very good guacamole. It was unusual visually, but reminded me of a good poke bowl mixed with a california roll. This being the first poke/raw fish I had in Hawaii for this visit felt right. I really liked it. We finished off the lunch by sharing a banana lumpia ($16), which we confirmed was a high-end turon, no jackfruit or plantain but a nicely ripe mini banana slices, served with a meager scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel/chocolate sauce. Like the rest of the dishes, the presentation was really good. Just wish the ice cream was of better quality. Even though we were the 3rd table seated, we were the last to leave, making it a very leisurely lunch. Payment was taken at the table but still brought back of restaurant to do credit card auth. We were welcomed to stay as long as we wanted...the views encouraged that, but we knew we had a long walk back, so slowly started back.

Overall, we had a good experience at Hualani's. The service was generally professional, and everything felt well organized and at a good level. We tried the French Onion Soup and Crispy Octopus. Both were fine, but nothing especially memorable. The Misoyaki Seabass, however, was excellent and honestly a pleasant surprise - very flavorful, tender, and well prepared. We also ordered the Captain's Combo, which was an interesting combination of two different fish preparations. I think it is a good choice if you are not sure which fish dish you want to try, because it gives you a nice variety on one plate. The only downside was that one of the servers spent about 15 minutes talking very loudly with the table next to us about nothing important. It was distracting and felt inappropriate for the atmosphere of the restaurant. Also, this restaurant seems to be promoted as a place with a view, but in reality the view was not very impressive from where we were seated. Overall, the food and service were good, and I would give it 4 stars. It is a nice restaurant, but there is still room for improvement.

Im reluctant to share a great review out of fear of creating more popularity for this place. It's sooooo good! We came for thanksgiving and had an incredible pre-fixe experience. Try the opah fish dish. Easily one of the tastiest dishes I've ever had. That mango chutney sets it over the top. Service was great and of course the scenery doesn't get any better. Lovely outdoor seating with a view of the golf course, the ocean, and the infinity pool. We loved it so much we came back a few days later. Make a reservation and indulge. This is worth it. Will be a must-go place when we return

Food is average (my dish). Only good view to the lighthouse and ocean. The host was tentative and polite.
