    21 dollar tuna melt.

I have visited several times, usually on the weekend when is it crowded. I understand that during very times, places are not always able to give 100%. For that reason, i avoided posting reviews. Today i visited during a relatively slow period. I ordered a tuna melt. Please see the attached picture. Sandwich and sparkling water came to over 28 dollars.

Very cute location. You order at the counter and take a seat. They had a lot of bakery items that looked really good. We tried the coffee cake which had a coffee icing that was delicious. The breakfast burrito was really good! I loved that the has browns in the burrito were crispy. I got an iced matcha latte and it honestly just tasted like milk to me. It was more on the pricey side than what I would pay for breakfast but it was good!!

OMG. My wife got full before finishing her fried egg sandwich, and I was so glad that I was able to taste the bliss! I had the Huckleberry breakfast, and it was standard, not disappointing, not climactic. My son just interrupted my typing to interject that his hash browns were good. My daughter says the quiche has a unique flavor combo, but delicious. Service standard for a deli type set up. Enjoyed the outdoor seating, swaying palms and meandering clouds created a relaxed time.

Wait here for a team member to assist.

Huckleberry Bakery & Cafe is a nice spot for the locals in the area to stop in for their morning scone or coffee and muffin. They offer a variety of baked goods and pastries. Plus, they offer hot menu items made to order. It's a fast-casual restaurant like so many in L.A. Order at the counter, pay, take a number and hope there's a table once you have done all of that. It gets busy and it's the kind of place that folks like to linger. Tables inside and sidewalk tables in the front. Staff is walking around clearing tables and doing their best to keep things moving along. All of the staff I encountered were friendly which I appreciated. Metered street parking available and a parking lot in the back with a back entrance into the cafe.

Huckleberry Cafe is a very warm and cozy spot in Santa Monica. The staff is helpful as I was trying to make a decision for a 2nd pastry and she said she liked the cinnamon roll. I was in a rush after an appointment to grab something quick for breakfast so opted to go with the pastry counter options. One of the best items continues to be the maple bacon scone! It's everything you imagine it to be with being both sweet and savory. The next time I have more time I'll stop by for some of their hot items for breakfast/brunch.

Ordered the Huckleberry Breakfast, and like other reviewers mentioned, the food isn't anything special, and it's also extremely overpriced. The cashier recommended this item, but there's nothing that really sets it apart from a regular ol' breakfast you could make at home. The toast was also a bit hard. On a better note, the staff are all very kind and helpful, and the outdoor seating is pleasant on a sunny day!

I visited on a Sunday to meet up with some friends and ordered the Huckleberry Breakfast which comes with eggs, bacon, hash browns, and a biscuit with butter and jam. The biscuit was warm and the jam was really good! You order at the counter first and then the staff helps you find a table. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available. Just be mindful of street parking as some nearby areas require a permit.

Everything was okay! Nothing was really fantastic. Particularly expensive for what you get. Easy to walk in and order without much wait but I'd probably only go back for coffee/baked goods.

Super good! We came bc I heard Phil had been there before? I'd say the highlights were 1- the Coffee Cake, 2- the gf pumpkin muffin, 3- the breakfast burrito. Idk what was in the burrito exactly, but it has a lot of flavor packed in. I wanna say there's a salsa that comes inside that's pretty overpowering. That's my only critique, because it kind of dominated the other flavors. But thats ok it was still good. The chips were great as well. My favorite was definitely the coffee cake. I would love to try more pastries and bakery items in the future, maybe some pancakes. When we got there we were looking for a table big enough for 6. Before we could figure it out, a server spotted us and said he'd take care of it for us. In a few mins we had a nice set up ready to go. Glad he took initiative to help us out! We came on a Sunday at 12 and there wasn't really a wait! Not bad at all for an LA brunch spot.

Super cute cafe, the aesthetic and service are really nice. I also enjoyed the flavors of the food, but knocking one star due to the portion size you get based on the price you pay. The beet and carrot juice was $6, and it was smaller than a small glass. The huevos rancheros were $20, but you only get two tortillas with two eggs. Idk but the I felt the portions were really small for the price. Overall nice though, you can expect to spend $50 for two people for breakfast, which is quite a bit for a cafe imo.

A little on the watery side. Chicken bites came out in about 15 minutes. The coating had a very satisfying crunch, very saucy, but fell off the chicken easily and was a bit salty. This is a messy dish for sure. You will get your hands dirty! Chorizo Benedict came out about 30 minutes after order. Not great honestly. Portion size was generous. The eggs were poached decently, still runny, but the chorizo itself was bland and rather dry. The potatoes were room temperature. The bread a bit too chewy. Not AT ALL spicy. Super light on the pico de gallo. The service was rather slow for not being very busy. They didn't appear to be understaffed either. The location itself is cozy and not too loud, which is nice! Short walk from down town. The staff was kind, but boy were they slow. From being seated to paying for my meal was well over an hour! Automatic 2.5% "service fee" total was $46.50 before tip. It's the kind of place that immediately makes you think you're in for a great meal. I stopped in while visiting my wife during her lunch break at the hospital. I originally planned to bring her food, so I happened to have a Kool-Aid cup in my hand when I walked in. After I'd already placed my order, I was told they don't allow outside food or drinks. I understand restaurants have policies, but this felt like one of those moments where a little common sense and hospitality would have gone a long way. I wasn't bringing in another restaurant's meal--I was already buying food from you. As for the food itself, we ordered the $10 double smash burger. It was fine, but it was tiny and ultimately forgettable. There wasn't anything wrong with it, but there also wasn't anything that made it stand out. The biggest disappointment was the $7 "truffle fries." After the first bite, I looked at my wife and said, "Whatever you're thinking, I just had the exact same thought." They simply weren't good. For $7, I expected something memorable, but honestly, McDonald's fries are more enjoyable for less than half the price. I genuinely want this place to succeed because the location and atmosphere are fantastic. Right now, though, it feels like the aesthetics are carrying the experience. Improve the fries, make the burger feel like a better value, and be a little more flexible with customer interactions. The foundation is there--it just needs the food and hospitality to match the beautiful space.
