Food and service was beyond 5 stars. We don't bowl but come for the food, the great service was a bonus

Patty melt with zucchini

The food and service at this restaurant is just okay. It's obviously a bustling bowling alley. West Lane used to have great food and good service.including Bourbon Street..which is gone btw and now called "sports bar". I had a patty melt with deep fried zucchini. It was just okay. The menu was pretty basic with no real dinner options...it primarily is quick food. I don't recommend this place. If I bowled I would eat somewhere else. I guess that says it..

Breakfast Slam (06/01/16)

(06/01/16) 3.5 but rounding down for now. It's been a while since I've ate here so today I came in with my mom to give it another go. I ordered the Breakfast Slam (2 eggs, 2 slices bacon, 2 sausage links, 2 pancakes) and it was good for the most part. The pancakes were meh to me, I didn't care much for the texture. A plus tho for the syrup being served warm. Sausage was okay. Cooked just a bit too long to me. The bacon was good size and cooked nice. Our server was nice. If I come again I'll probably come back for the broasted chicken w/2 sides, which was a favorite of mine when I used to watch the NFL ticket there a few years ago (heard they no longer have the ticket tho).

UPDATE: 10 Pin Diner, aka Bourbon Street Bar & Grill, aka West Lane Bowl Cafe.... one and all the same business. It's the cafe inside the bowling alley. Confused?? I had the 3 pc broasted chicken dinner tonight (breast, leg and wing $8) you can substitute a breast for the leg and/or wing for an additional $1 each. It came with two sides.. I chose broasted potato wedges and house made mac salad. The mac salad was ok but the potato wedges were very good...hot and fluffy inside and a bit of a crunch on the outside. The chicken was just ok...a bit overcooked. One piece was juicy and the other two were pretty dried out. I would suggest not cooking them quite as long. I enjoyed chatting with my server. A very sweet lady. I believe she has been there for years. They serve breakfast ALL DAY! My kind of place since I sleep in and miss the breakfast hours at most 'normal' places. I look forward to having breakfast there some evening soon! I will be back. If I order the chicken I will ask to have it cooked a bit less. It's kind of fun to watch the bowlers and there is also a big screen tv for your enjoyment. *********************************************** THIS ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM A YEAR AGO WAS POSTED ON THE WEST LANE BOWL YELP PAGE ALONG WITH 12 OTHER YELP REVIEWS FOR THE CAFE. IT WAS REMOVED BY YELP STATING "We wanted to let you know that we've removed your review of West Lane Bowl. It looks like your review was meant for another listing: http://www.yelp.com/biz/bourbon-street-bar-and-grill-stockton. If this is the case, feel free to repost your review to the correct business listing." THE CORRECT BUSINESS LISTING IS NOT BOURBON STREET. WHAT A MESS... I was pretty excited when I learned that WL Bowl Restaurant was a franchisee of the original Broasted Chicken. I have been a fan of the chicken for a long time...going way back when the original Manny's restaurants offered it. In our area I have found 'close' tasting chicken at the Country Boys Drive-In on E. Fremont and at the Manny's Drive-In on S. El Dorado. That Manny's still uses the same method of cooking, I'm sure but I do not see the 'official' Broasted logo anywhere. Also, Woodbridge Pizza in Woodbridge and Lodi also cooks the true Broasted chicken. I was hoping for the best today...trying WL Bowl Restaurant for the first time...hoping that I found a new local source. But alas, it was not as good as the others. It looked good, but it was overcooked, a bit dried out and the white meat was tough and chewy. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/west-lane-bowl-stockton?select=zjg3vYWoxdRkU_ygFLuDFQ#DJQH6m807ggw5khgm6RjjA The Broasted potato wedges were very good as was the homemade macaroni salad. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/west-lane-bowl-stockton?select=zjg3vYWoxdRkU_ygFLuDFQ#8wmfZUyapnn6s05aTh18gQ Was it was a one time cooking error? Maybe I will give them another try sometime in the future. Other that that, the restaurant is a great asset for the bowling alley. They had the general small cafe offerings including breakfast and the prices seemed quite reasonable. If I was a bowler, I certainly would adjust my eating schedule so I could dine here. I have to say something about the two awesome servers that waited on me. Really lovely ladies...both had worked there around THIRTY YEARS!! Now what does that say about a business?? If you are bowling or in the area and hungry, give 'em a try! Broasted Chicken menu: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/west-lane-bowl-stockton?select=zjg3vYWoxdRkU_ygFLuDFQ#HzSlGEiN25YnMOI517LHfg It takes 20 to 25 minutes to prepare the chicken so if you are in a hurry, phone your order in. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/west-lane-bowl-stockton?select=zjg3vYWoxdRkU_ygFLuDFQ#z3m3mCPdwf-BeUkETMU-CQ

They have plenty of seating for small to large parties and even have seats up at the bar. It's got a small town cafe feel to it and I love it. I usually get the BLT sandwich with a side of fruit an an iced tea. Their BLT has to be my favorite because they load it up with bacon! I can't stand when you get a BLT and it lacks bacon, that surely is not the case here. My best friend loves to get their over medium eggs; the yolks are flawless, hash brown with cheese and toast. My other friend is a huge fan of their banana nut bread, it's a delectable breakfast item that feels more like a dessert and is dangerously addictive. I can't say enough positive things about this establishment, I will for sure be back again and again when in the area. There are plenty of other options. Please give them a visit and let them know what you think!

They did redo her order and it was right that time. I ordered an omelette Greek style. It was good. The potato's were excellent. The others in our party liked theirs. The service. Our server was almost missing in action. One of the other servers actually helped us more than our server. The restaurant was very busy when we got there so I understand the server being busy as well. However it takes 2 minutes to check on your table.

Aaliyah greeted us as soon as we walked in and directed us towards our table. Coincidentally, she was also our server. It was like we knew her for years. Aaliyah was friendly and attentive. We started with the mimosa flights. We couldn't decide on flavors, however, Aaliyah picked a variety of flavors for us, so we were covered. The food came out hot! I had the meat lover skillet with eggs over-easy. The eggs were cooked perfect. The warm yolk added to the flavorful meat and smothered potatoes. René had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was juicy and tender. Next time we'll ask for a side of sauce because it's so good that we needed more than provided, at least for us. One thing we noticed was that every customer was happy. Maybe the other customers were regulars there but this was our first time and we were treated like we were regulars. I think it just says something about the attention to customer service. Toward the end of our visit, "B" one of Sheila's daughters, came out to check on us. Again, it was like talking to a long time friend. Well, it turns out Sheila B'Z is a family business - - everyone working was family, including those working the food truck at an event today. I love that. We will totally be back!

The service was amazing, friendly and just what you would expect from a nice hometown place where the locals meet. Warm and welcoming and great hospitality! The ambiance was your local diner style place serving good food. As for the food it was good. The ham and eggs were perfectly cooked and just right. The pancakes were good. I was torn between the French toast and pancakes but when I visit gain will probably go with the French toast. The pancakes were a bit thin for my liking but had good flavor just me being picky as I like pancakes a little more fluffy. Will certainly be back and try something different but a really good place to visit

Trusting in Yelp reviews, we headed to Lodi's highly rated and popular Avenue Grill. Service was wonderful. Our server (blond lady with glasses) was friendly and chipper and had a very nice demeanor. She was on top of everything. Food came out quickly too. Seemed like the rest of the customers there were local regulars, who knew one another. Cozy, family-friendly vibez. I got the chicken fried steak with crispy potatoes. Good country gravy, seasoned potatoes, and chicken fried steak was delicious. Big portion, enough for leftovers. My husband got the steak & eggs. The steak was a little too dry and under seasoned to my husband's liking. He always orders medium-well, but it was more well. I did agree that it didn't have much flavor. But I had it the next day for leftovers and thought it was good mixed with my gravy and potatoes. So if you're looking for a good traditional breakfast diner, this is probably your spot. I don't think it was worth a drive from Sac, just because there are a lot of similar restaurants, but if you are already in the Lodi area, definitely worth a visit.

When my family and I walked in,…read morewe were not greeted at all, even though there were at least 10 servers standing around talking. After waiting, someone finally seated us. As we were getting settled, a male server who was NOT our server kept hovering over our table, pacing back and forth, and staring at us. It was extremely uncomfortable and unnecessary. That same server--again, not our assigned server--asked for our drink order. My boyfriend ordered a mimosa but had forgotten his ID. He is clearly well over 21 with heavy facial hair. I ordered a mimosa also, and my boyfriend took a drink. Shortly after, the manager came to our table and aggressively confronted him, saying he needed to present ID if he was going to drink it. The interaction felt more like harassment than policy enforcement. We ended up canceling our order altogether. Between the lack of greeting, the hovering and staring, and the way we were treated over a drink, the whole experience felt targeted and uncomfortable. As Black customers, it was hard not to feel singled out. We will NOT be returning!! Zero Stars!! But you need to put a rating to post a review.
