You really can't find a better deal for breakfast! The special includes coffee which can be a point of contention in some restaurants. I get it! Refills can get pricey but I've seen almost 4 bucks for a cup at a local establishment. Value breakfast places are going the way of the Dodo, but 10 Pin strikes a good balance of price to quality ratio that makes it a good option for a no brainier breakfast on a Monday for old retired folks.... I was in Stockton to judge the Stockton Camera Club print competition. I arrived early and they took me to dinner at 10-pin. A meandering ride along the levee roads really seemed like a road trip. I knew that a diner in a bowling alley was the perfect place to order my road trip favorite, a chicken fried steak The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I did not have to add any salt to the gravy that smothered the steak and the mashed potatoes. I asked that they leave the veggies off. Normally, I would not finish a plate that was as generous of this one was. I usually take part of my dinner home and maybe share it with S or when it comes to road food, maybe just keep it for myself. I did not want it to appear that I over order and take food to my car. I made the effort to try and finish it and I did. It was an excellent dinner. This diner is tucked it the corner of the building. Despite being in a bowling alley it was quiet enough for conversation. If they call me to judge next year I will stop here for a meal. I really enjoyed the steak. The food and service at this restaurant is just okay. It's obviously a bustling bowling alley. West Lane used to have great food and good service.including Bourbon Street..which is gone btw and now called "sports bar". I had a patty melt with deep fried zucchini. It was just okay. (06/01/16) 3.5 but rounding down for now. It's been a while since I've ate here so today I came in with my mom to give it another go. I ordered the Breakfast Slam (2 eggs, 2 slices bacon, 2 sausage links, 2 pancakes) and it was good for the most part. The pancakes were meh to me, I didn't care much for the texture. A plus tho for the syrup being served warm. Sausage was okay. Cooked just a bit too long to me. The bacon was good size and cooked nice. Our server was nice. If I come again I'll probably come back for the broasted chicken w/2 sides, which was a favorite of mine when I used to watch the NFL ticket there a few years ago (heard they no longer have the ticket tho). read more

UPDATE: 10 Pin Diner, aka Bourbon Street Bar & Grill, aka West Lane Bowl Cafe.... one and all the same business. It's the cafe inside the bowling alley. Confused?? I had the 3 pc broasted chicken dinner tonight (breast, leg and wing $8) you can substitute a breast for the leg and/or wing for an additional $1 each. It came with two sides.. I chose broasted potato wedges and house made mac salad. The mac salad was ok but the potato wedges were very good...hot and fluffy inside and a bit of a crunch on the outside. The chicken was just ok...a bit overcooked. One piece was juicy and the other two were pretty dried out. I would suggest not cooking them quite as long. I enjoyed chatting with my server. A very sweet lady. I believe she has been there for years. They serve breakfast ALL DAY! My kind of place since I sleep in and miss the breakfast hours at most 'normal' places. I look forward to having breakfast there some evening soon! I will be back. If I order the chicken I will ask to have it cooked a bit less. Been coming here for years wether it's for a night out with the wife or friends this a fun dinner stop. Drinks are always very generous and we love our bartender Robbie he's awesome! The food here is great too they have a nice variety of appetizers as well as actual dinner items. I usually get their grilled cheese and a side of cheese sticks. When in the mood i also order a pizza here it's delicious. the wifey is a big fan of their chef salad and i will say it's a very nice portion and they don't skimp on the toppings which is also a plus! They have lots of TVs for all of the sports watching needs and they also have a nice area setup of 3 pool tables if you feel like playing a game or two. My friend and I were looking for a light snack in casual environment. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. I had a cup of the clam chowder and a small salad with their thousand island dressing which they make there. This is good solid diner food. I heard their broasted chicken is really good. We usually have a good experience here. Having a couple of beers and kicking it. The tri-tip sandwich was pretty good today. I ordered a 2 piece broasted chicken plate for my son. They charged me for a 3 piece when I ordered 2. The chicken tasted old and was overcooked (it looked like it was cooked twice.) It also tasted like they have never changed the cooking oil either. Always good comfort food. Today I ordered open faced Turkey sandwich smothered in gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and cranberry sauce. Came out piping hot, turkey was not dry and so yummy!
