The restaurant was relatively empty, I believe we were 1 of 3 occupied tables in the establishment. Took approximately 1 short eternity to receive menus and drink orders. Finally ordered our meals and they were not what I remember from past Huddle House visits at other locations. Came here with my Family yesterday Morning for Breakfast. The first table we sat at was not really Clean, and the Seats still have bits of Food on them. We ordered our Food, and it came out a Short time later, and it was decent, but too Greasy for some reason. When it came to pay the Check, I see I have a 10% Coupon from Yelp. I tell the Waitress this, and she tells me to go ahead and use it. I do, and then she tells me to write my Phone Number down on the Receipt so she could change the Amount. She comes back and ask's me if this is the Number with my Huddle Rewards attached to it. I tell her yes, and she tell's me that her Manager will talk to me. He comes a few minutes later, and tell's me that they don't accept Yelp Coupon's here. I tell him alright because I didn't want to make a Scene here. I pay the Check, and left. Me and my friend came in with her mother, brother, and step dad, me and my friend got chicken tenders with fries, ranch, and ketchup, the chicken tenders had a lot of bread to them and were very crispy which I liked, but the fries had no salt on them whatsoever so I would definitely recommend eating them with a sauce. I've enjoyed every other visit here made in the last 3 weeks. But tonight.. REALLY bothered me. It says 24/7. There is a sign up that is super confusing about hours- and delivery etc.. not clear at all. Myself and two daughters went in at 9:45 to enjoy some yummy food - stood around for 4 minutes with no one I could see, finally heard a cook in the back and asked him if we could grab a table. He came out and told me "she already closed her til"... in the meantime an older man walks in... and gets in the conversation and says "so what are you trying to say .. you won't seat me?" And laughs, the cool laughs, they both laugh, and the cool says "nope not saying that"... I'm looking confused , my daughters are looking confused, the cool looks at me like "MOVE ALONG".. so we go out.. sit in the car for a moment- see the waitress finally come back in.. and grab a menu and seat the man. I wait a minute- go back in and ask "Can we order to go?" She says "Online only"... WHAT??! I clearly see an old man sitting in a booth with a fresh drink and menu in hand ... apparently only if you're a "local" can you sit down and eat inside. Not right at all. Not one bit. Have eaten here multiple times and I will never trust them again. Got ripped off for 46.14 for 2 breakfasts. They gave us another tables ticket, and I didn't look at it as I was in a rush to get going. Figured it would be and easy fix, BOY WAS I WRONG, I will never eat here again, and earge you not to either, but if you do, be sure to check what they are charging you for. I've ordered here off door dash... worst experience ever..and I know that they purposely made my food this way because it was a DoorDash order... One of the employee's put all the worst fries that you could use in my tray ( the bottom of the fryer) as if it were a joke or something... every piece was hard as a rock...so when I did call to speak with the manager , I was told there wasn't one there... I asked for a supervisor, and was told there wasn't one there.. this was after I told them what happened... they'd said someone would return my call the next day... No one returned the call.. I then called again to speak to a Manager, and was told again that there's wasn't one there... I then said wow , " there hasn't been a manager there since Sunday and today is Tuesday" ??? I was then told to hold on and that the manager was in... I was then told by sane person who picked up, that the manager is investigating????? The restaurant was busy but appeared to have plenty of staff It took over an hour for food to come out and only my order came out not my husbands. His order came out burnt without his eggs at least 10 minutes later. I asked to speak to the manager. The waitress told us he was in the office and won't come out. I told her to tell him that he needs to come out. He eventually came out and I tried to calmly explain my issues with him and he acted like a belligerent teenager saying things like so what, too bad, do you want an application so you can work here. Then proceeded to yell at me that he was on a conference call and couldn't be disturbed. I said the he should have rescheduled his call to come out and support his staff and help his customers. Then he Went on to tell me he hasn't had a day off in 3 years. He asked if I had a job. I told him yes I have a bachelors degree in nursing and if I treated my patients the way he treats his customers they would be dead. He told me he had an MBA in business and he knew what he was doing. I said obviously not or he would be out of the office and supporting his staff and customers. He again said do you want an application to work here. I asked that he take care of the check since the food they brought out to my husband was in-eatable An he said he as not taking off anything. All I wanted to do was to leave at that point and speak to his boss. This is unacceptable behavior and action for this person who is in charge of this dinner. WORST experience in a food service establishment! We dined Sunday, 10.21.18. While eating an employee walked in with her friend and service dog. (I understand the importance of service dogs. However, I do not believe the dog should be allowed to interact with food service employees during their shift.) The friend and her dog sat near the restrooms at a table away from those who were dining. Several kitchen employees, at least three, walked passed and stopped to pet the dog, hug the dog and/or allowed the dog to lick them in the face. None of these employees had completed their shift - meaning all returned to the kitchen with the very high possibility of dog fur being on their clothing and transferring to the food. The employee returned to one of the tables she was hosting where the guests left after ordering food and beverages because of the interactions with the dog. She unfortunately, did not understand why people were upset with the dog interactions stating, "they washed their hands." I explained to her all that transpired and let her know washing their hands was not enough. She left the ordered food on the table with the hope of the guests returning. When the employee returned to the table to remove the food, the friend asked, "baby what's wrong?" She responded, "I'm frustrated but the going joke in the kitchen is we should bring the dog in when we want people to leave at night." As the employee was removing the food, she looked at the dog and said, "I'm sorry baby. I can't give you any. I don't have anything to put it on." Later the friend informed the employee she was going to the car and returned with a change of sweater/shirt for the dog - dressing him/her at the table and placing the worn sweater/shirt on the back of the chair. The above information, with more details, was shared with the corporate office on Monday, 10.22.18. I was told someone would be in contact but have not received a call yet! Patty melt was soggy and not seasoned. Tots were good. Country fried steak was good, okra was ok, but the mashed potatoes were gross, thin with chunks of potatoes and had no flavor, despite being doused in gravy. Daughter ordered a pancake, which came raw in the middle. Waitress took it back and had it remade, which took another 15 minutes. My wife and I were done with our food by the time it came out. Entire visit took about an hour, which is pretty crazy considering there were only about 3 other tables. There were also flies flying around our table. All and all not a great experience. Also, not a fan of paying in the card machine at the table, felt rushed and awkward. I'd have tipped either way, and the waitress wasn't staring at me or anything, but she did have to wait to get the machine back. She was nice, but probably should've offered to comp the pancake. My girlfriend and I usually enjoy going to Huddle House and have been many times. We went this morning and WOW.. There were three tables open.. One was dirty, one was next to the broken wall/window where only one side of the seat was open, and the other was a decently sized round table. So OBVIOUSLY we went and sat ourselves at the round table. It takes about five minutes for the waitress to get to us and then she asks how many people were in our party. I tell her just us two. She then proceeds to tell us how when a small amount of people sit at the round table that a bigger group comes right behind. She then proceeds to ask us to sit at the table with one seat that has no view and is completely broken and being repaired. Essentially, if you break it down to the simplest form, she basically told us that we weren't that important and that she'd rather serve a bigger group of people. So disrespectful, like we were nothing. She didn't even say sorry and she walked away too, so we left. TERRIBLE customer service. read more

I am 71 years old and todays meal was the worst service that i have ever had! We had to wait 30 minutes for a table. One table had people finished when we got there, but they were busy talking with the waitress and didn't leave till long after we were seated Two tables became vacant, but it took almost 15 minutes for the waitresses to clear. I placed a rather large order on 6/25/23 @ 11 am through door dash for pickup. I noticed that when I got home, I was missing a waffle. Me thinking it would be an easy fix, I called Huddle House and let them know that I was missing only one item. The young lady who picked up the phone told me that in order to get my waffle, I would have to "Go through door dash and file a complaint". I told her that i didn't want to refund the whole meal nor get anyone involved, i just wanted the missing waffle. She then proceeds to tell me that ---"In order for us to make your waffle, you have to refund the whole transaction through doordash and pay again, Because so many of you LIE on the doordash app". I was shocked. Even though I love huddle house , I was called a liar and was told that i would have to speak to her manager on Monday, just for a waffle. I arrived at huddle house 10 mins later to speak to someone and two other women apologized and gave me my item with NO problem. I'm not sure why i was called a liar and put through the wringer for food I paid for. I've never had an issue with my orders previously, a little Accountability would've been nice. That was so unnecessary. My order was already $50+ dollars but to insinuate I was lying and make me go through hell over a $2 waffle is appalling. Yes Suffolk, we have a Huddle House! Unfortunately Tony's left us (he'll be missed) but he has been replaced with a brand new Huddle House. I've been here a few times before letting the secret out. In case you don't know where Tony's was, it's off of Pruden, right past the Motel 6 and connected to the Miller gas station. A lot of Suffolkians don't venture this way unless they are on they're way to the Tractor Trailer Supply Store another favorite of mine. It's not Denny's, but the prices are good, the service is fast and it's an alternative for breakfast to the crowded IHOP. The omelets are 2 eggs versus IHOPS 3 egg battered (IHOP puts pancake batter in their eggs) giants, so they look smaller but normal. For $8 you get a meatlovers omelet with grits or hash browns and toast. Can't complain. read more

I see I'm not the first person treated horribly by this establishment. Long story short, the food was subpar and we called in to see if a small cup of gravy could be replaced as one we brought home was extremely thin. Not a big deal right? Wrong. The manager is a younger person that literally accused my wife of making complaints constantly and often. This order was on 2/9/21,and the last time we ordered from there was early December. Red flags were immediately raised. We have ordered from there a total of 5 times starting in September '20, and gravy was NEVER on any of the previous 5 orders. Other lies this gentleman (and I use the term loosely) concocted were just as egregious. Things we knew couldn't possibly be true. This all left us scratching our heads. He was rude and obtrusive, to say the very least. Spend your money elsewhere just on principle alone. BOJANGLES is an excellent nearby choice! What a disappointment almost a 2 hour visit for a cheese omelet and an ice tea . Biscuits were as hard as hockey pucks could not eat ordered toast. 1 server FINALLY took our order and 35 minutes later it was brought out by server #2. worst service we've ever had. we got here and saw a sign saying 50% capacity/33 people allowed to dine(due to covid). we walk in and they only had 4 tables with 1-2 people at each. the waitress said she could not seat us until one of the 4 tables opened up, which doesn't make sense bc there were max 10-15 people here(including employees). she handed everyone who walked in menus to look at until they were seated except for us. when a table opened up she hollered across the restaurant telling us to go sit and it took her 15 minutes to bring us a menu or ask what we wanted to drink. whenever she came to our table her tone with us was just plain out rude. she slammed our plates on the table and threw our receipt onto the table with no words. i could clearly see she was being more polite to the other two tables that were seated while we were. half of our food was undercooked and we could not even eat it and she refused to take it back and bring us properly cooked food. when we left i talked to a manager and told him how terrible of service this waitress had provided us and she kept interrupting me to say she wasn't being rude. i finished by saying i just felt disrespected and we when we were walking out the door i heard her say we were 'being a**holes'. i can't speak for other locations of the huddle house but i would NOT recommend this location. extremely bad service and we couldn't even eat half of our food. i would give 0 starts if i could. read more

Been eating at this place for a year. It has its good days and bad. The food is always good though, staff is always friendly, and I never leave hungry.
