I've been to Hudson Hall plenty of times before, but after another great experience recently, I figured it was finally time to show it some love. A group of us went during the NBA Finals on a Thursday night, and we were able to grab a table without much trouble. It was definitely busy, but thanks to their beer hall-style seating, it's never hard to find space, even with a crowd. The shared tables never feel too crammed and work well whether you're with a group or on a date. We went with their game day special, 20 wings for $25, and ended up getting two orders. Honestly, it's one of the better food deals around for watching sports with a group. The wings were solid, and we kept the drinks flowing all night. I had a few Moscow Mules that were really well made, and the beer selection never disappoints. Food-wise, Hudson Hall consistently delivers. I had the shrimp tacos this time, which were really good, and we also split some cheeseburger egg rolls that hit the spot. I've had the pierogies on past visits, and those are great too. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, it's all legit, especially for a sports bar. Service is always friendly and efficient, and splitting the bill is super easy, which is a big plus when you're out with friends. Whether you're looking to watch a game, hang with a group, or even go on a casual date, Hudson Hall is one of the best spots in Jersey City for good food, drinks, and vibes.

Not a fan of the benches as they are very uncomfortable. Thank goodness there were a few chairs so we were ultimately able to move to a different table. Music was boring and commercial type music - nothing that moves the soul. Very little diversity. Quite homogeneous which was surprising for the area. Food and drinks were average. Service was friendly and attentive. Enough TV's for the game. If you want to catch a game with your bro's this is a good spot. Not my vibe at all.

This place is a joke. I knew they over charge for drinks but a buddy of mine insisted on checking it out so I decided to give it another go. I was drinking straight Jameson. They charge for ice and also charge extra for ordering a drink neat. Riddle me why ice and especially why is there a $3 fee for ordering a neat. You literally add nothing except the liquor. Did you do extra work or pump extra oxygen to enhance the flavor? Out of their minds. A million other places to go to around there that don't charge you for ice or air in your cup.

Hudson hall is a cool sports bar. I like their ambiance it has a laid back atmosphere and vibe. Great spot to come after work and decompress and just enjoy a beer and some appetizers. They have a good selection of food. We ordered mozzarella sticks, a margarita, beer, and two tequila shots, and a pasta to share. I like their happy hour specials. The mozzarella sticks were nice and cheesy. The pasta was great as well. I would definitely recommend this sports bar and would like to come back to enjoy more of their menu. 10/10 rec

Fun spot for soccer game on a Saturday but the beer comes in these small pint glasses, which you would expect bigger for the price. Bartender was attentive and quick bar service.

I visited Jersey City for a work event. After arriving, I was looking for a place to grab dinner and stumbled upon Hudson Hall. The restaurant had large tables and a bar. Since I was solo for this visit, I opted for the bar. There were large TVs playing sports. My visit was during the MLB Wild Card round so I mostly watched the Tigers and Astros game. The bartender provided great service throughout my visit. I chose the Hudson Hall Lager, which was discounted for Happy Hour. The beer was chilled and refreshing, though the flavor was only okay. For my meal, I selected the Crispy Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich. The chicken and avocado tasted great, but the bread was difficult to chew. Overall it was a good visit. This is a great place to watch sports and enjoy a frosty beverage.

The Ambiance is perfect for watching your favorite sports team. Plenty of TVs throughout. The service was pretty good. Our server was very attentive and friendly. My only gripe is that I wished that our waitress told us about "no free refills" on drinks. Learned that the hard way. The food was pretty good. The BBQ Chicken Sliders had bones inside of them. The Hot Chicken Sandwich was ok.

The food was good, I really loved the fries. Service was ok. Not a fan of the seating arrangement.

Came in to enjoy a couple of beers with my colleagues and to my surprise the place had a great atmosphere, and on top of that the food was amazing. Have to give additional props to the bartenders for always been on top of everything.

I haven't been to this place in a long time. But the food here is tasty. Drinks are good. We ordered o an old fashion and a Mexican mule delicious. Exceptional service from bartender Ronaldo. He made food recommendations. The short ribs and pulled pork sandwich. Really tasty. This place was packed. College football games on monitors. Music was pumping. Nice vibe and a beautiful day to venture out. Parking is hard to find ‍ jersey city has a food festival today too. But definitely recommend

Really like this place! FOOD: 4 stars Have only tried the wings and French fries. The buffalo wings were SUPER TASTY, highly suggest ordering the buffalo ones. Fries were ok. SERVICE: 5 stars I thought the service was great. Everyone was extremely nice, our waitress was very good at checking in on if we needed anything, and food came out in a very timely manner. VIBE: 5 stars Great vibe overall! We went to watch Euro cup and would go back!

However, recently I came in and this isn't normal service and I hope it changes. Maybe I met a fluke new bartender that knows nothing about pouring a proper pint. But I bought a specialty can for myself and a pint for my boyfriend. Initially, I asked if they had any red ales or ambers, brown ales and he said we have a lot of nice stouts and porters. My boyfriend is definitely not into dark beers (i wish) but any moron would know an Amber or red ale anything what I mentioned isn't pitch black and sweet as syrup. So I looked at beers on tap for him. He poured me a Czech beer and the foam head was 4 inches at least thick. I was told it's an "experience". And when my boyfriend was also considerably upset he said "it's an experience". I paid $9-11 for an experience of missing half his drink in a smaller sized pour of a normal 14-16 oz mug. He gave back the drink because he was so unhappy with it and he did nothing to remedy the situation. I get you let drinks settle but that's not how your pour a pint at least not in the USA. He asked if it could be filled the remained and he said absolutely not. lol. Ridiculous. Hoping things get better here because I love craft beer spots and they are a dime a dozen but not when they shaft you. Also please bring back the jammy peanut butter sour.

Seila was the bartender and she was just so nice and friendly. Since I was the only customer, we talked for the entire time. The bar is tiny, with a tiny bathroom but the vibes are great. There's dim lighting and the light fixtures are so pretty. It looks like alot of decor are from antique shops. I had the Cameron Obscura cocktail as recommended by Seila. It was fizzy and sweet. I also had this amazing plum shochu that was perfectly sweet. I'm adding a photo of it to this review. I had edamame as a snack for $7. They have some other light snacks here like chips and popcorn too. I really loved this bar and it is similar to their other bar Yakuni. You just couldn't ignore a place with this kind of name. Door (and window) was shut, so upon walking in, it was dimly lit and a little too warm but it cooled off a little once settled. Seating by the window was taken by a couple, but the bar had some empty seating. It took a moment for the lone bartender to greet us, then she went back to talking to a guy in the middle of the bar. When I was finally able to get her attention again, I went with the Carlifree, which is hibiscus tea, mint, yuzu juice, and club soda. I don't think I ever had anything yuzu-based before in my life, but it works here. The hibiscus visually dominates in a pretty shade of red, while the mint is the alternative refresher. I probably drank this a little too quickly, but I enjoyed what I had. Restroom in the very back is similar to being on an airplane. Even I felt it was a tight fit, and I'm small. Service could have been a little more attentive, especially for one person behind the bar, but she was friendly when you had her attention. Drink selection seemed decent by the crowds they seem to get, and I'm glad they offer zero-proof options. Unique find here that I'm happy I was able to try.

Taking off a star because I had a weird experience with the people at the front. I'm currently recovering from an injury and I'm in a pretty obvious neck brace. I was visiting with two people who were on their way and would be arriving in about 10-15 minutes and the people at the front told me I couldn't be seated until they arrived. I understand that this is normal protocol, but I pointed out my neck brace and asked if an exception could be made because it's significantly more comfortable for me to sit down (and there was no room at the bar). They said that their manager wouldn't let them do that, and that they couldn't seat me until the rest of my party was there. There were tons of table tables available the entire time and when my friend arrived about 12 minutes later, they seated us, I totally could've sat the whole time and it wouldn't have been a problem. Not the end of the world and I probably could've pushed it harder, but it definitely was a little awkward!
