I went here with high expectations and was very disappointed in my meal. I did not get oysters but instead went for the $49 steak. It came with a salad and portion size was about 4 bites, salad was good but I was expecting a salad not a few leaves. The steak was extremely small maybe 6oz and was no better than a sirloin. Then it was served with fries. Very disappointed. My appetizer was good, got a shrimp cocktail with 4 large jumbo shrimp and very tasty dual sauce. Dessert was decent, got coconut cream pie. 1 person bill with no drinks was $85. For what I consider to be a 6oz sirloin with fries with decorative leaves on the side. Very Disappointed. read more

This place is overpriced and overrated. Yesterday was my second time there. The place is very nicely decorated and clean. We ordered the hamburger as it is supposed to be top notch according to some. In my opinion, and no offense to in and out but their burgers are more like a downgraded version of them . I am a big in and out fan I can eat there anytime. The Meat patties were thin, overcooked and did not taste fresh. They taste more like frozen processed meat. The cheese tasted like that over processed gooier stuff. For $16 I expected more at least some onions or lettuce to go with it. I only eat a quarter it was hardly enjoyable. The truffle fries were ok. For $11 We expected more truffle taste to them. Very salty My husband ordered the salmon. It was so salty as someone accidentally poured extra salt on it. On top of that it was overcooked. I must say that the clam chowder was really good. It has chunks of clams and perfectly seasoned. We did not order drinks but their martini Selection does look very good. The service is nice no complaints there. Last night we visited this location for the first time. We had one of the worst, not professional, impersonal, uninterested, waitresses we have had in a long time. Appetizer selection is scarce. I requested the side salad for an appetizer but asked for simple plain romaine lettuce to be substituted for the fancy mix greens and was told I would be charged for a main dinner salad!! I substitute romaine lettuce everywhere I go, without issue, it is the less expensive option anyway... completely shocking experience for a supposed "upscale" restaurant. To top off the evening a lady missed the dangerous step in and out of where we sat (not well seen) and fell down hard. So sad and not safe step. Be aware. The food, service and atmosphere of HH Irving was great. I'm giving a 4 star review because I purposely dined here at lunch for their Tuna Tower, just to find out they removed it from the menu. The waiter suggested the Tuna sushi in place of the Tuna Tower. I went with his recommendation and when it arrived, it was 4 tiny pieces of sushi. That was my lunch, but it was barely enough for an appetizer. Although the sushi was delicious, it didn't take the place of the Tuna Tower. read more

I made a last minute reservation since the restaurant in Grapevine closed due to a power outage. I was dropped off at the door and spoke to the hostess who was charming and gracious. She was excited I was spending my birthday there. The waiter was great. He customized the dinner leaving out the spicy ingredients. My wife and I went out for dinner here I payed with a hundred dollar bill after 15 minutes the waiter came back and said they would prefer a card I ask if he could use the cash instead he said ok. After 10 minutes return and said he felt bad cause they don't have any change he would not be able to give me my 35 cents back. We assured him 35 cents is no big deal just bring us receipt and our cash. After 10 minutes nothing... we ask again and he brought us only a receipt!!! Was a wonderfully delicious experience at this establishment. Staff was very friendly and never a empty glass. A raw oyster bar with delicious bluepoints! I chose the seared ahi tuna dish and I say it was fresh and delectable! I may I also say a shout out to the bar staff and my Manhattan was the best I have ever had. Was here a few weeks ago and I could barely taste anything decent . I think it was partly due to the experience I encountered while I was at dinner. I witnessed one of the restaurant staff member being mistreated by another member who I would think was management. I was curious as to what the working culture at this restaurant was but being a patron I decided this really wasn't my problem. Not until dinner was over and on my way back to my vehicle, I noticed the same server that was mistreated was seen crying in her car. I had to check on this person as I was concerned for his mental well being. What I did learn was how he had paid for all the required work uniforms and was never compensated. In addition to this ridiculous policy that subjects staff to buy uniform for their restaurant, this person also stated how staff had to take a series of tests on food and other hospitality related items in order to stay employed. This employee was not new but witnessed discrimination at all levels from management. It was sad to see this as he was a father like me. This was not the first time I impromptu encountered something weird at this place. Being a prior hospitality manager, I can easily tell when the work culture is bad because that contributes further to the poor dishes a restaurant serves. The culture here is so bad that staff members that work here have intentionally messed with guests food to be spiteful to management. I heard more than i needed to from this person but enough said I Will not be returning to this restaurant ever!!!!!!!!! read more

My friends and i met at this location tonight for my birthday and i am not one to complain but wow we hadn't even finished our meals and the manager came over and asked how our service was and we said great and then went on to tell us he had a bunch of reservations and would need us to hurry so he could fill them. Then, we had our cards in the checks waiting to pay and another manager came by and said he knew the manager came and said they had reservations waiting but wanted to remind us that they really needed that table and needed our check which we told him the cards were there and we were waiting on the server to grab them....avoid this location they are 100% not like the other locations! read more
