First time here. Had two appetizers and a glass of wine. The menu is very good. They had brunch and regular lunch options. I sat at the bar atlas the bartender knew the menu well and was attentive but not over board. Hostess was very nice as well. Restaurant was clean. read more

Another welcomed concept to the growing Gilbert culinary community. Brussels were fantastic, flakey and crunchy. Meatballs were super tender and flavorful. The short rib pasta was the highlight of the show with super fresh pasta, a delicious sauce and oh my dear for that short rib was cooked to absolute perfection. Wine menu was very well put together, some great cocktail options...the wife and I are definitely coming back. read more

Had the Cesar salad added shrimp so yummy. It's not your traditional Cesar they add crispy Brussel sprouts which elevates the dish. I paired it with their Frose. Hubby had the burger and Parmesan fries sooo good. read more

Tried the new restaurant on a Friday evening recently. After looking at the menu online I wasn't thrilled to go, but my wife and I were meeting friends so I decided to give it a fair shot. The happy hour specials are great and the food was really good. They are pretty inflexible about any mixing or changing appetizers and drinks even when trying to upgrade, but as I said before the specials are good. It is pretty hopping and the noise level makes conversion a tad tough, but it's a bar serving food. I'd definitely go back. read more

Everything we ordered was delicious from the appetizers and salad to the pizza and pasta. Service was excellent. The reason I gave it 4 stars is the the music was very loud. We asked if it could be turned down and was told that the volume wasn't controlled at their location. read more

This place will be fantastic come wintertime. The food is great and the servers are insanely fantastic. In this era of atrocious customer service this place is a dream of times past. Thank-you. Now for the bad. Have already been here three times and the air conditioning is obviously broken and the management has no intention of fixing it. Sitting in a restaurant where every customer is fanning themselves with the menu's is pathetic. Watching the bartender dripping forehead sweat into your glass as your drink is made is a tad gross. When you ask a member of the waitstaff what is going on they also have no idea as they are told every week a different excuse. Love the new place but will see you in October. read more

We live in Gilbert and I saw an ad about this place and so my wife and I tried it out and it is fabulous! We had their pizza and it is perhaps my favorite because the crust is freshly made as it's airy and yet has the proper amount of "doughyness" with it being crispy. Right amount of sauce and toppings! We loved the place so much we came in for dinner the very next day!! Had their 3 meatball appetizer and the only other meatballs that were this good was at North Italia and those that have had those will know what I mean. What pushes this over the top is their fabulous sauce and they give 3 pieces of toasted bread with it and really it's their pizza crust and I would be happy just with that!! Tried their cauliflower pizza crust and that was awesome as it was thin, crusty and flavorful! Not sure which pizza crust I liked more! both times our service were great and the only things I would rate as a negative would be that they have no coffee on menu (they said they will be opening up a coffee bar soon) and their sign outside is small with the outside lighting dark and so from the street you might miss it or think they're closed! We've eaten at many restaurants in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Scottsdale and this one is in our top 5!! Just get some coffee on the menu!! read more

After reading other reviews before posting this it seems like other people have had a similar experience. We were told to call ahead with a larger party (7 adults and 2 small kids)so we did. When we arrived we were made aware that the table only seats 6 and the rest of the party would need to sit at a completely different table (the hostess rudely said she stated this on the phone, but clearly we would not have dined here if we had to sit at a completely different table than the people we were going out with.) The hostess was not very nice at all, and refused to move one small table so we could sit together. Not accommodating for parties over 4 at all and definitely not a place I would bring kids. I got such bad vibes that I would not even return to this place for a date night. Plenty of other places in Gilbert to go. You may want to be super clear with people that you do not accommodate larger parties before they show up. read more

Came in for brunch at noon on a Sunday. Between the 3 of us, we tried the fries with dipping sauces, the Maximus pizza, the Carne Humble Benny and a caprese salad. All so good!! The short rib pappardelle is 10/10. We ordered a few apps also which were fantastic. Loved the ambiance. Highly recommend!

I wasn't impressed with this place. The over all cost was very high. Charging $10 for a glass of wine and the bottle is $10 at any store. Yea I understand you need to make a profit but come on. Pizza was ok sauce seems weak. Crust is great. I would expect a lot better for the price. read more

Best food ever the pasta is made fresh daily. The burger best I ever had freshly ground meat so flavorful and the honey chili sauce was such a mouth explosion of favor. We order a little of everything and shared the chicken Cesar salad, pizza and chicken chipotle pasta enough for three of us. On the second visit had the burger and fries with special sauce highly recommend eating that this bistro finally a restaurant you find in LA, New York, ATL atmosphere of great music and service makes this my new go to place. read more

It has been TOO LONG since I have absolutely loved a restaurant. The Humble Bistro has it all - nice atmosphere, super efficient servers, and AMAZING food. We literally came back 3 times in the first week because it's so good. I did read some people say it was too loud and I will say we got take out on a Friday and it was a bit loud inside because they were totally full, and it's a medium sized space. It's not the noise though that comes from blasting music, just lots of people enjoying themselves. We ate in twice during the week and it wasn't loud at all so if you don't like crowds I'd go off peak hours. We had a question about allergens, and instead of the usual where a server takes a guess, our server told us she wasn't sure and wanted to get the right answer, and she went and found someone who knew for sure. It's small things like that that will keep us coming back. We can confirm that the Cajun shrimp, pasta Rosa, gentleman pizza, and the sourdough bread is unreal. I might literally ask if I can move in. read more

This was our second time at Humble Bistro. After our first visit, I gave it a 4.5 star rating based on ambiance, service, and food quality. Hostess and waitress were both awesome. The ambiance was great, and the items we ordered were all delicious. We left very content after that first experience. However, our second visit earlier tonight left us less than satisfied. The restaurant was out of many of the wines listed on the menu. Our waitress was not too customer oriented and seemed to be in a hurry all the time. This last issue really irked me to no end. How do you charge customers for 2 fountain drinks when they simply ask for a refill. This is so petty on the restaurant's part. For an additional lousy $3.00, you are willing to potentially lose customers because of this. I may give this place another shot down the road. I'm not a happy customer at this time, though. 3 stars is being generous. read more

Went here last night for a birthday celebration. Very disorganized from the hostess to the cooks. Lobby is so small no where to wait except outside in the patio area, dripping misters not very comfortable. We called ahead to get on the list and was told 35 to 45 minutes. When we got there we were told 35 to 45 minutes wait. Don't bother calling ahead just show up. Finally got the page from the hostess saying our turn. Go in and check in with hostess only to be told just a heads up your turn next. Back outside to wait finally called it was our turn. Sat at a high top covered with butcher paper. Ordered drinks server brought us water that was from the tap awful water Placed our food order along with salads 15 minutes later we asked where the salads were and she immediately brought them out. 5 minutes later food came out. Didn't have time to enjoy salad. Food was not good. Noodles were watering. Cajun dish not tasty at all. Lasagna was a no go! I realize they haven't been open long but they should have it more organized. Probably won't go back. read more

This was my first visit to Humble Bistro, but it certainly won't be my last. My friends & I went for happy hour and ended up staying for dinner. The atmosphere was very cool with dark woods and 1940's tunes playing, and we really enjoyed the specialty drinks. Starting with the "Hello Peaches" (peach vodka, vanilla, lemon, & Italian prosecco) served in an adorable coupe glass. It really fit the vibe. We also liked the "Grigio Winarita", an interesting version of a margarita made with pinot grigio, fresh citrus & cucumber. Perfectly refreshing in the Arizona summer. The pizzas are fresh and they have some very unique combinations. "The Gentleman" was our favorite. It was an original flavor combination featuring spicy & sweet ingredients on a freshly made sourdough crust. The Maximus was also ordered, but with the cauliflower crust to accommodate a gluten intolerance. It was questioned whether or not the crust was really made out of cauliflower because the texture was amazing and so flavorful, but it turned out it was, in fact, cauliflower - a huge bonus in our book. The "Cajun Shrimp" featured on the happy hour menu was a big hit, so much so that a second plate was ordered for the table. The only disappointment was the order of "Not So Humble Fries". They were supposed to have a gremolata of garlic, parmesean, lemon zest, parsley & chili flakes on them, but they tasted like someone forgot to put the garlic into the mixture. Our server was friendly and attentive. We were there for over 4 hours and she kept stopping by the table and never made us feel rushed. It was a great time and we will be back very soon. read more
