Hummus Achla serve the best Israeli food you can find in the U.S. in my opinion. after trying their falafel, chicken schnitzel, chicken shawarma, pita, rice, mashed potatoes and salads. I went looking for Falafel Benny (a previous restaurant at this location) & discovered Hummus Achla. We were in pursuit of shawarma. As I approached the counter the worker said "welcome...we are out of shawarma". Lol. So we tried the falafel pita sandwiches. The sandwiches were very good. What makes them so good is that they let you choose extra fillings to accompany the falafel. They just keep packing it in the pita. For example I got hummus, Israeli Salad, tabouli, eggplant, pickles, shug, & tahini. This personalized sandwich was excellent. Hopefully next time I can try the shawarma, as the reviews say it is excellent. read more

Do you want excellent authentic well prepared Israeli food this is the place. Just let you relive your experience of eating street food in Israel down to the rude behavior of the people that work there.. don't worry they're not being rude. They're just being IsraelI don't take it personally they have a lot of food to serve and a lot of food to cook. They don't have time for smiles and chitchat to just go in and order your falafel tell them what you want on top of it. Irecommend eggplant and move on. I promise the food is excellent. read more

Wow! Love this place! One of my favorite things to do when traveling is to find Israeli restaurants. It really warms my heart to eat food from my own country. In any event, this place is a true gem! The food is authentic, fresh, and extremely tasty! The owner of the restaurant, Aviram, is very friendly and gave me wonderful service! I strongly recommend this restaurant! You won't regret it! This is hands down the best Israeli food I've had outside of Israel, and would be considered great in Israel too (I lived there for about a year and ate out a LOT so hopefully my opinion counts for something). amazing salads (try the grilled onions and the babaganoush) and the schnitzel and pargiot (fried chicken cutlet and JUICY grill chicken, respectively) are out of this world. achla means "awesome" in Hebrew and the hummus definitely lives up to the name!! unlike anything else in the US read more

Walked out after I saw the server not wearing gloves or a mask. Also the customer that he was helping was not wearing a mask and the one next to him was wearing a mask with his nose exposed. With the level of contagion in Florida right now, and Israel in lockdown, they should know better! read more

I will start off by saying the food was pretty good. I used to always frequent this place when it was Falafel Benny's and loved it. Today's encounter of the new establishment left me disappointment. Food was decent but the service, atmosphere, desire to help and cleanliness was awful. There's a line to order your food and I was overlooked twice by the same person. While making my food she continually messed up and wasn't listening to what I wanted on my pita and instead put on what she wanted and got mad when I asked her to please take it off. To make it worse, there was a huge hole in the wall next to the table where I was sitting at and I watched two roaches come out of the hole Update: shortly after the review, what looks to be an employee went on my update and called me a liar. Think that pretty well sums it up. This place needs a customer service overhaul read more

This is been my best restaurant experience so far in Florida after being here for over a month. The food is good honest home cooking. I have the ground beef kebab which didn't look that great but the taste was amazing. The beef was tender juicy and very well seasoned. The baba ghanouch was smoky and flavourful. Although I found the hummus to be a little bit on the sesame side and a little bit thick but overall it was quite decent. My dinner was $28 including a drink and tip. It's about twice the price I might pay in Toronto but the food was worth the extra expense for me. read more

I was very excited to eat here and the menu was very enticing. We drove into the parking lot and called to place an order. We were put on hold for more than 5 minutes so I went inside to order. The place looked clean and the tables were spaced far apart. The problem was that several people in the kitchen were wearing their masks below their mouths. Not safe during a pandemic. My friends here provide a family friendly environment with food that tops the charts. I've yet to have a meal here that disappoints. The food is always fresh, the food line is always clean, the portion sizes are generous and EVERYTHING tastes delicious. I generally allow them to make selections for me every now and again so I'm able to try something new. I have surveyed over a dozen of these pita joints in the area and this is far and away one of the best... they excel in a good balanced hummus, good falafel (the fry and consistency is good altho I prefer more greens and heat in mine) and a very flavorful kabob. Great place. read more

Hello do not go in this place if you are not Israeli or Jewish!!! I went in here and I tried to order and I got a lot of yelling in Yiddish or Hebrew whatever it is they yell and a lot of jokes and they where headed my way!! Very rude people and service sucks. It is worth noting Yalla Motek is mostly Kosher. The food is Kosher but they are open Saturdays and the process is not overseen by a Rabbi. Either way, I ate half my meal and brought home the other half. They give big portions. I really didn't care for the flavor of the meal overall. I could eat it but should have ordered something else. The food is high quality but it is not for me. The staff were very warm and hospitable. I did enjoy the Tahiti on the side. I will probably eat here again but would order something else.

They could have brought in bags of ice, and we would have never known. We had no ice to go with our water and coke, and the beer was barely cool. Finally, we see bags of ice brought in and wasn't offered any. ‍‍ Tomahawk steak medium well was good, but I needed a little more seasoning. Mash potatoes tasted like freshly smashed potatoes and needed a little salt and butter, and the oyster mushrooms were a bit chewy with a charred taste. 3 Lamb chops were serves medium rare so it was requested to be well done then it was good, the spinach was bitter with no flavor and the rice tasted old as it was leftovers from previous day or days. Rice didn't taste freshly cooked at all. Bone in Ribeye medium rare was good with a Cesar salad that tasted strange. The Cesar dressing tasted like a blue cheese mixed with ranch and a vinegar. I don't know it just wasn't a good Ceasars dressing, and it was iceberg lettuce, not romaine. Overall, they prepared good steaks and good lamb chops, but they need to step it up on the sides. For the price of steak, they need to give a better portion and more than 3 lamb chops. For the quality of food it's an overpriced restaurant. Though the digital menu is up with technology, it's not truly functional. It's not user-friendly for older persons, and it had a glitch. They should consider a QR code. Overall, the ambiance is nice. The food was ok but overpriced. Stop in to support a small business. 1 issue I did have, the waiter didn't help us while ordering. My dad ordered rice with his lamb chops, not knowing that it came with rice, and the waiter said nothing. I was bothered, but 2 sides come with the steaks. I was around 4.5 rating for this place but couldn't overlook a few important details... Plus Yelp…read moredoesn't allow half measures :) Found this place by accident as I was searching for the nearest spot with decent reviews to grab a dinner. Yelp app wasn't loading due to network issues in the area, so I had to use Google Maps. Glad I did as otherwise I'd have never discovered this restaurant since it hadn't been on Yelp. The restaurant located at the back of Le Mer Condominiums building. You have to go through the main entrance for the building and then ask front desk on how to get to the restaurant. There's no outside or inside signage indicating there's a restaurant, so the place is literally undiscoverable unless you are looking for it. It does look comparatively new and the number of reviews on Google at the time of my visit was also very limited (19 to be precise) with the oldest dating 2 months back. I'd question the owner's plan on bringing more business into the restaurant because, again, no one would know it's there... The best evidence of the lack of advertisement and popularity is the fact that on Friday evening I was literally the only customer in attendance. The interior looks welcoming and casual, it does give an impression that the owner(s) attempted to make it special with some fun decor details. There's a separate bar area, that said, it doesn't have a bartender and doesn't seem to attract guests. There's also outside seating which is probably the main attraction during morning and day times. As I was there in the evening, the strong wind wasn't making it an option to sit outside. The turn off for the interior was the exposure to the kitchen that is visible from any seat within the interior space. I could see how when more guests are around and cooking is more active, the smells and sounds would make it feel overwhelming to be there. Also there were cute bar stools placed along the bar counter separating the tables from the kitchen. It looked like their main purpose was storage of extra pillows that were probably brought from outside due to the strong wind. I can't imagine a customer being interested in seating in one of those stools and staring at the kitchen. The fact that the stools were used for storage was definitely affecting the feel from the interior in a negative way. The service was good with the waiter being friendly and available. Well, there were no other guests, so there were no distractions for the staff. The menu is limited and mainly built around popular items from Eastern European cuisine such as Bosch soup, vareniki, Beef Stroganoff, etc. There are a couple of Contemporary American cuisine items too like chicken wings and burgers. Kids menu surprised me by a wide selection of options (see pics). The drink options listed on the menu are very limited from the alcohol perspective. There are just four unnamed wines (just the type of wine is listed), all for $15/glass and three beer options priced at $6. The lack of alcohol selection is possibly compensated by the offering by a wider assortment of regular tea for $8, crafted tea for $13, fresh squeezed juice for $7, and lemonades and smoothies for $12. It's unclear what the quantity the customer will be receiving after paying the hefty price for such non-alcoholic beverages though. Hoping it's a good amount to share. If you are still reading, you probably figured out that another downside of the place is pricing. Additionally to the overpriced beverages, there are other items that hit you with a large price tag, e.g. Bosch soup for $15 and desserts starting at $13/portion. From the food quality and taste perspective: the Borsch I tried was pretty good and served in a beautiful bowl, the mini chebureki were really tiny, tasted okay but lacked the expected juiciness and amount of filling was very less. The carrot juice was great and looked just prepared (as one would expect). To sum up, the place might be great for sunny warm time to sit outside and grab some food and non-alcoholic beverages, probably great if you have children to feed. Not the best option for a romantic dinner or fun get together with friends that would involve alcoholic beverages (unless you are good with unknown wine or Corona).

Worst customer service ever. When my husband and I came in the restaurant - there were just a few people ahead of us. I ordered a falafel pita - my husband ordered a chicken pita. While they served my pita just fine - a "regular" cut in line - and the cook gave my husbands chicken to the regular - and when my husband questioned the cook he said "oh - it will just be a few more minutes..." and that is when my husband said "no thank you" - paid for my falafel and left. Very poor service - and it was my husbands first experience here. We will never come back - and we suggest that the public avoid this place as well. read more

Wow! The best schwarma I've had since Israel! The only complaint I have is I've seen this spot a dozen times since I moved here 2 years ago and thought it was a hummus place. I like hummus, but I would not really crave hummus as a habit, so a 25 minute drive is not in my mind. Schwarma on the other hand.... wow. Change the name for God's sake. Hummus Achla is the go-to place for a plate of creamy chickpea goodness. Take it to go or eat in house; you won't be disappointed.
