So it's a Create Your Own type place, where you can create a bowl, pita or baguette/sandwich. And the options are endless!! I did a half cous cous/half warm chick pea bowl with lemon chicken. You get three types of hummus spread (all are amazing) and endless toppings! Their toppings are incredible - tabouli, cabbage salads, cucumber, pickled onions, etc. The flavors simply explode once you take the first bite. They have delicious sauces to top it off also! I love their spicy sauces and different types of tahini. And now service - everyone was incredibly nice. The base is perfectly cooked couscous and/or garbanzo beans. Then the mixed greens, the falafel and the toppings. Lastly the delicious tahini sauce. Clean and healthy food with great quality. Checked out the new kid on the block today and I'm so glad to say HR didn't disappoint! It's like a build-your-own Mediterranean bowl/pita. So heck yeah I'm in. The menu is pretty intuitive and so you can follow it. I got the bowl. I did half couscous and half chickpeas for my base, then kale + spring mix, falafel (5 pieces! Win!), and all the free sides. Basically my bowl blew up and became super huge... plus add the spreads and hummus and then the final sauce. I ate as much as I could and then had to ask for a lid to take the rest home. I'm a fan. It's a little on the pricier side (than let's say, chipotle) but the fact that it became two meals for me makes it worth it. :) read more

Absolutely delicious! I'm the type of person who loves flavorful foods all mixed together and Hummus Republic is a pro at creating that type of mouthwatering experience! I've gotten a bowl with half and half base, mixed greens and spinach, chicken shawarma, some toppings and the lemon dressing (so good!). I also get their green hot sauce which is also so good!! In the picture, I brought my meal home, chopped up a little bit of romaine to add to it (bc you can never have too many greens!) and mixed it up in a large bowl. The portion size is heavenly. My husband ate their rice crispy treats and said they are very soft and good. The service was very pleasant! Preparing your meal is easy and quick. Also, they have a point system at checkout so you can earn free food. (Always a plus! ) I highly recommend trying this out if you love yummy and healthy food! I love Hummus republic! I go there at least once every two weeks . It caters to my healthy and savory appetite. I love their spinach wrap with half mushrooms and half chicken, with eggplant hummus and olive hummus, crunchy chickpeas, Tabouleh, tomatoe and cucumbers, cilantro and finally topped with zesty tahini. The build your own bowl has several options some organic items and I basically selected all the available options minus the spicy stuff and lemon chicken as the protein and wow this bowl turned out delicious. I opted for the lemon juice and olive oil as the dressing. I loved every bite. It was super fresh ingredients, so many things to choose from and very affordable (~$13). I'd love to try the falafel next time and the dolma (rice filled grape leaves). This is definitely my go to now and I recommend this place highly!! read more

Base: couscous, chickpeas & farmers mix Hummus & spread: harissa, eggplant, & zesty feta Protein: chicken shawarma Toppings: all the salads, onions & lots of feta Dressing: a little lemon, traditional tahini & grandma's hot sauce Everything I tried was super good. Very healthy & filling! With the amount of things I got, you could share this with someone since they're quite generous with their portions. My personal favorites are all of the hummus & spreads I tried & grandma's hot sauce (it isn't that spicy for someone who can't take spice very well!). The make your own bowl was delicious and generous with the amount of food they give you, and pricing is decent as well. The environment was clean overall: clean floors, tables, work stations, seats, etc. There was a quiet ambiance, which I appreciated, with the music not blaring out at you unlike other restaurants. Their hand crafted lemonades were good, they had these unique lemonade selections that are definitely worth trying. I'd recommend getting the falafel because they will make a fresh batch for you instead of getting the one that's on the work station. Wait time was good as well, however I'm speaking from experiencing this restaurant during a non-work day (i.e. Sunday early afternoon). Since it's a build-your-own type of restaurant, you pick your base, toppings, sauce, etc. The cool and unique thing about this restaurant is that they have the options of either using pita, wrap, or bowl to place your food in! I got the bowl since it could hold more food better than I think the other options, but will definitely try the pita option just to see how it is. This place is delicious, and while it might look like a familiar setup, the food quality here is better than that national chain with a similar business model. Obviously the natural comparison for this place is Cava, but Hummus Republic has much better meats, flavor profiles, and ingredient choices. I love the Moroccan steak with the green cilantro sauce. Why do few stars tonight? --- I love this place. We go a lot! The owner is incredible and his care for his shop/ restaurant is Tops! But his employer there this evening was really out of line. I called to make a pre-order of just falafels. He said to keep he was too busy. I said I'm just 5 blocks away - 5 minutes away and he could just take the order and start when he can &he said no. I asked to speak to the owner ( who's been very kind always) and he said he's not there. We arrived maybe 5 minutes later and ONE person was in there. The guy ( Jason) was rude to my husband and would not even look at him to let him to place his order. My husband asked him to repeat what he had said when he talked as he couldn't hear him. Jason looked away to repeat. He made the order and no thank you, no here's your food - just handed the bag to my husband. Really such shame the owner hired this guy ! I won't order there again unless the owner services us as I'd rather be around friendly people. ---- adding to my review !!! we just arrived home and opened our order of a side of falafel and a falafel wrap which has 4-5 falafels in it. He didn't ever add the falafels .... He omitted the main feature if the falafel wrap. - we called up to talk to the owner and can't reach him snd no manger on duty.
