We ordered 4 flavors and fries
    Jennifer S.

I was visiting a friend in Glenside and he suggested we order from Humptys Dumplings since it had been a while since he ordered from here and he knows I'm a foodie who likes to try new things. I had heard of Humptys Dumplings from the Christmas Market but the line was always long and I never tried them. We opted for the buffalo chicken, cheesesteak, spinach and ricotta, and chicken parm, along with a side of fries. Everything arrived hot and fresh. We tried the buffalo chicken first, dipped in ranch. They immediately burst in our mouths, both literally and figuratively. The flavor was insane. I make the best buffalo chicken dip according to friends and family, and this tasted JUST like it, with a little more of a spicy kick. We cleansed our pallets with the crispy French fries we ordered and then did the cheesesteak dipped in ketchup. The cheese oozed immediately and I knew this would potentially be my favorite. The spinach and ricotta needed a little more flavor, like onion and garlic, or a garlic aioli dip since the recommended soy sauce didn't pair well for us. Finally the chicken parm nailed the flavors you'd expect to find but could have used a creamy tomato vodka sauce dip or rosa sauce, although I'm a sauce dipping girl so I will ALWAYS recommend a sauce pairing even if others feel it's not needed. These dumplings were all PACKED with filling. I'm a big girl and I had 4 and was full so we had plenty leftover. Overall a great experience and fun to try!

They are almost sold out! AGAIN! i love this place!

Love the name. Love the food. These are not Chinese, Japanese, Polish, or any other category of dumpling. They are a wild mashup and I love it. By now I've tried most of the dumplings. So when we took our gift card to the big location, I decided to take advantage and try the noodles that aren't available at the location at The Saint. The noodles were fresh and chewy. The sauce was rather sweet, but with the fried chicken it worked. The noodles come with ridiculous (but tasty) toppings, usually based on dumpling fillings. We got some frozen dumplings to take home. I'll keep visiting the Saint for my dumpling fix. But my SO occasionally laments that he can't get those crazy noodles there.

Came here for lunch in the afternoon, wasn't too busy. The place was rather small but had a self order kiosk which I found really helpful. The service was alright but not exceptional. Seeing as it was my first time here, I decided to order a sampler of assorted flavors, running me about 6 dumplings for $12, which is a bit on the pricy end. Still, I wanted to put them to the test to see if it was worth going anyways. The flavors I tried were: Buffalo chicken, honey chipotle chicken, pizza steak, spinach/mozzarella/ricotta, broccoli/cheddar, and --the most popular flavor-- cheesesteak. They came out a little smaller than I expected from the pictures, but the flavors were really nice and the dumplings held up more than I expected. My favorite flavor was the cheesesteak as I feel it was the most well rounded and -- rather familiar -- flavor, but I felt like the Buffalo Chicken was in close second. In addition to the dumplings, I helped myself to one of their noodle dishes too, specifically the Buffalo chicken flavor ($14). It was honestly really nice and had a lot of toppings (Buffalo sauce, ranch, and some blue cheese) and little bits of crunchy Buffalo chicken bites that really held the dish together! Was it good? Heck yeah! Was it worth the money? It's a bit on the pricy end so I wouldn't go here too often but one thing is for sure: I will definitely be returning here, and will bring a couple friends along too.

I had my party Platinum Garden celebration on Sunday. The dumplings were absolutely delicious. The variety was delicious. Everybody enjoyed them. For most of my guest, This was the first time had experienced your delicious dumplings. My husband picked them up at 1:30 as they were ordered and the staff there was phenomenal. I stopped by there a couple times just to check on the order prior to the event and they assured me that everything would be OK. It was beyond OK it was phenomenal. You will have many more people Experiencing your dumplings. Thank you so much. They were one of the most desirable finger foods at the celebration.

Ask the Community - Humpty's Dumplings

What temperature and for his long should the frozen dumplings be baked? There are no directions in the bags and wasn't informed when I picked them up.

Hey sorry about that usually there are usually instructions written at the top of the bag. But you can cook them straight from frozen. 375 for 15-20min in an oven. Or 10-15 min at 400 in an air fryer…

Do they have gluten free options?

    I honestly never inquired.

Are they 1$ dumplings all day?

    Yes all day Wed!! 👍🏼

What kind of seating does this restaurant offer? Do they have any tables so that you can eat there or is it pretty much just carry out?

There are sit in tables there. There is also a counter with stools.

(Note: if you only want smaller serving of their great, thick noodles, order $4 add-on as a side in place of rice with regular dish.) I always have leftovers to enjoy at home. Dumpling orders are large and shareable. (Always 6 or 8 pieces.) My fave when dining in is amazingly delicious and huge Fish Fillet in Hot and Sour Cabbage Broth. (That's best with rice side to help absorb broth.) So good and healthful to balance the dough density of whatever dumplings you might also order -- they're all great. When getting order to go (or delivered) I like Kung Pao Chicken; it travels well. Order added green veggie dish for sharing -- I lean toward Chinese Broccoli; you'll really want the balance with the delicious dumpling and noodle dishes. Large cocktail menu -- Lychee Martini is so refreshing. Important: cash only for dining in. There's an ATM by their front door. Takeout and delivery accepts credit cards. Most reasonably priced parking nearby (if you don't score a limited street spot) is ParkAmerica at 1040 Race St a few doors down. In fact, it was one of the valet guys in that garage who recommended Dim Sum Garden when I was seeking great Chinese option. (Thank you, Ceasar!)

I just get a feeling that the focus is on pushing alcoholic drinks rather than on the food. The pork buns felt like they were previously frozen and were very sweet. Shrimp dumplings tasted off. Service was never the star but it wasn't so dismissive either. Just a very bad experience and while I won't go back, I also don't want to rate them 1 star as that would be unfair. Their food now is no better than the next guy and that's disappointing. Cash only btw. I write this because they do not post signs and a couple tables had to go grab cash from their ATM machine.

This place immediately came to mind after I read the reviews, and I ordered takeout tonight. I am very pleased to say that this was an amazing experience! I opted to do fairly simple dim sum, mainly because a restaurant that has "dim sum" in its name should shine in this category. I was able to place my order online, and had the scallion pancake, the pork, soup, dumplings, the chicken and shiitake dumplings, and the shrimp shu mai. The order was prepared, extremely fast, but very attentively. The packaging was thoughtful and protective, without being wasteful. They included a small container of delicious black vinegar/soy for dipping, and some chopsticks. All of the dishes were fantastic! My favorite was probably the shrimp dumplings, and I was happy that it was two for one night. Everything tasted very fresh and well-made. The seasoning was spot on, without being overly salty. My only regret was that after going to pick these up, I noted that the inside of the establishment appeared to be quite quaint and comfortable, and would definitely recommend that people check this place out for dine in options. The staff were very friendly, and made the pick up experience a positive one. So, if you're in the area and really want to have some dim sum, I would definitely recommend this place. I will most definitely be back in the future!!
