Box A: half chicken fried rice half chow mein, chicken teriyaki, and orange chicken

This location is tucked in the corner of the shopping center. Not as many selections as you might find at like a Panda Express but the food is enjoyable. The teriyaki chicken is actually good compared to PE. The orange chicken this visit was not as good as I remember from my last visit. Service is always good and the price is quite reasonable. This place seems to be popular as there is always a line when I arrive.

If you're looking for affordable, authentic and family owned Chinese food this is the spot! The line was out the door when I arrived but the service is quick! The portions are huge and extremely affordable!!

Found this place because it was nearby my pharmacy, and decided to try it. I ordered beef with broccoli, chicken fried rice and chow mein. It was good, but no better than some similar chain restaurants (that shall remain nameless). I have very high standards though, but even my kids were not impressed. The rice comes in either chicken or veggie (I think you can order pork to be made fresh), you cannot combine. I was torn, but got the chicken. It did not have much chicken in it, so I'd choose veggie if I had a do-over. The man behind the counter was nice and friendly and service and payment took no time at all. It is basic strip-mall dining, nothing to write home about. I think most of their business is take-out.

We had gotten chicken chow mein, mongolian beef, eggplant and tofu clay pot, sauteed string beans, pea shoots, turnip cake, and egg custard buns. The mongolian beef had pretty good flavor tho it tasted different from the norm. Different brown sauce of sorts. Still cooked well though since it worked in this case. The string beans and the eggplant/tofu clay pot were cooked well. I liked the flavors on them tho the clay pot needed stronger flavors. Usually for clay pots it would sit in the sauce and be practically enveloped in it. That and the chicken chow mein were both a bit bland unfortunately. The pea shoots had pretty good flavor and garlic but were a tad undercooked; hard to chew through. Turnip cake were decent, custard buns were still on the cold side. A quick trip to the microwave did wonders for the buns. Decent for the area but still hard to meet some of the marks for us.

Located on Lakeville Highway, just east of Hwy 101, it would make a good place to stop for a nice lunch or dinner. I was there on a warm Saturday, at around 11:30 am. The dining room has a contemporary asian decor. The AC kept the air cool and comfortable. There's several 2,4, and 6 seat tables. Just before lunchtime, the place was 1/3 full with customers. I was seated along the wall. I was offered a menu, and choice of hot tea or ice water. I asked for chopsticks, because the place setting had a fork. I ordered the Mongolian Beef lunch plate w/ fried rice. Also, I asked for an order of (Lightly Breaded) Fried Prawns. Service was excellent. My waiter was very attentive, and served my food as soon as it was ready. He told me if there were any delays. I didn't have to ask for anything. The Fried Prawns were large and plump. They were served with various sauces to choose from. The Mongolian Beef lunch plate had a nice presentation. The portion size was fair. The fried rice was moist, and blended well with the Mongolian Beef. The Mongolian Beef was spicy and tasted just right. Hot 'n Sour soup came with the lunch plate. Lily Kai's recipe for hot 'n sour soup is a little different than what you might get in most other chinese restaurants. They make it with alot of mushrooms. The familiar flavor was there, but it lacked several expected ingredients. Well, as long as it tasted good, I'm okay with it. ----------------------------------------------- So I had a great first time experience here. The plaza has a free shared parking lot. There's a Starbucks Coffee shop in the same plaza. Also, this place is down the street from the Kaiser Medical Offices. Also, they have clean and large restrooms. Lily Kai is in the Adobe Creek Center at Lakeville Hwy & South McDowell Blvd.

When we walked in, there was only a table of five customers at the end of their meal because the wait staff just delivered them the bill. I asked for a high chair, and she looked at my daughter and said she's too big for that, but I immediately told her my daughter can still fit in (btw, my daughter is very skinny and young and she prefer high chair everywhere we go out to eat every week, and the last one being only 3 days ago). The waitress didn't even bother to go grab the high chair and just walked away to the counter that is located in the back toward the kitchen. With this attitude, I will give one (1) star especially when the restaurant was not even busy at the time. The high chair by the way was very sticky that leaves stickiness on your hand after touching it kind (i.e., not clean). Another observation was that the waitress was more focus on the other dine in customers who were at the end of their meal than coming to our table to start taking order or at the very lease, offer drinks - it was already passed 6:00 pm and the restaurant was still emptied, everyone was hungry so what's up with the nonchalant attitude? Our party consist of three adults and a toddler, so we decided to try out the family meal at $28 per person that comes in a fixed choice of 1 won-ton soup, broccoli beef, sweet and sour pork, and a chicken dish. We also added a side dish of veggie chow-fun (wide rice noodle), so the entire order without the drink, taxes, and tip was over $100. For the food items we ate, I can only give a 2 out of 5 star rating because they all had one thing in comment - neither taste good or bad but with expensive tags. I didn't get sick after dinner so 2 stars rating is all I can give. All I can say is the food is safe to eat but not great. Some of the positive reviews were about good customer service, but we didn't experience that last night. Some reviews indicated how delicious the food were, but I don't agree based on my dinning experience. Therefore, overall, I can't give this restaurant more than 2 stars. Side note: on the way home, I told my wife that Panda Express would have been a better choice if I knew our dinning experience outcome a head of time.

We've ordered a lot from here, and I can't think of anything we didn't like. If I had to pick a favorite, it's probably the hot and sour soup. It's a perfect combination of hot to sour ratio. I've had it in a lot of places, and they just get it right every time. The string bean chicken is also one of my favorites. It's very flavorful, and the green beans are very fresh and cooked perfectly. We also really like the asparagus chicken, Mongolian chicken, walnut prawns, moo shu chicken, and the potstickers. My wife loves the sweet and sour chicken, and my daughter is all about the wonton soup. What's funny is we've never actually sat down and eaten there.
