I will say that I've always been a fan of mobile food trucks as the majority of ones I've been to…read moreover the years have been tacos. However, I had the opportunity trying out one of the more well-known butcher shops to serve San Joaquin County. This is none other than "Fagundes Meats & Catering" which has been a staple in Manteca for decades. Their actual brick-and-mortar location is off of N. Main St/E. Louise Ave in the heart of Manteca while their food truck ventures out to various locations for a variety of community events. In this case, I saw them serving hungry patrons at the Manteca Watermelon Street Fair that took place during the weekend of 6/6/26-6/7/26. To those that know this business already is that they are famous for their tri-tip. In addition to that, they also have other amazing protein options including rib-eye, brisket, pulled pork, Italian sausage, linguica, chicken, and the order I went with, their pork belly. I ended up going with their "Pork Belly Kabobs" and went for the combo deal which included a side (I went with their macaroni salad) and a drink (I opted for a Diet Pepsi). Total price for everything was $17 (which included tax + tip); not bad especially at a public outdoor event. I will say that the pork belly was quite delicious; a little bit on the salty side but nonetheless still a fairly decent portion in each and every bite. I paired it up with their homemade BBQ sauce which had a sweet yet tangy flavor. The macaroni salad was just average for me as it had too much of a vinegar taste while lacking a whole lot of flavor. Overall, I enjoyed this meal as it held me through the majority of the afternoon. I am definitely curious to try their other meats if I end up visiting their actual butcher shop. Overall, the service was excellent considering I was at a busy outdoor event. The line moved quickly while the prices were quite reasonable, even these days where meat prices have become quite outrageous. With that said and done, I am giving the mobile food truck portion of "Fagundes Meats & Catering" an above average four stars. Hopefully I can make a future visit to their butcher shop in the coming months so stay tuned!

Mac and cheese wasn't at all my cup of tea- too bland for my liking. I've also never had potato salad with black olives in it... That is a "no thank you" for me as well. I'll be back around to try more menu items but for now, I'd say around a 3.5.

It's located in an industrial area and I'm so happy my family asked to have Italian for this dinner. Julia was our server and was awesome! I appreciated her patience, suggestions, her attention to detail and sense of humor. Service as a whole was top tier here. We got there just in time before their dinner rush. After we ordered the dining room, bar and patio filled up. I had a Cali Squeeze blood orange brew on tap. It was perfectly chilled and perfect on this hot day. We ordered a meatball sub as an appetizer. Oh my goodness, this a must if you are a meatball fan. It was perfect and marinara didn't give me instant heartburn. For entrées our kids ordered chicken alfredo, hubby ordered their Tuscan Siena special and I had to try their steak sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. My steak sandwich had a lot of meat in it, but it was a little dry for my liking. The bread was dry, no condiments, just some onions. We took the leftovers back to our hotel and I picked the steak out and had it with some mustard as a snack. That was more satisfying. We did help our kids eat their chicken alfredo and I enjoyed it with some extra pepper. Next time I'm in Manteca, I will be back for a meatball sub and their fries. I'm so sad I didn't come back for another one and a cold one before leaving, but we'llbe back. This cozy local gem is family friendly, serve great Italian food and their prices are fair. I highly recommend and I look forward to returning. Thank you Julia for your hospitality and great service.

Worth Every Minute of the Drive!…read more We made the 28-minute drive from Tracy to try Happy Pizza, and it was absolutely worth it! We ordered a custom pepperoni and sausage pizza with their 3-cheese blend, and wow it was amazing. The pizza was loaded with fresh toppings, super cheesy, and had very little crust, just the way my kids like it. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and made with care. We also got to sample the pepperoni sticks with hot honey, and they were incredible. The sweet heat from the honey paired perfectly with the pepperoni. Honestly, I could eat those every day... as long as I keep working out! The garlic knots were another highlight. They were soft, fresh, and seasoned perfectly, not overly garlicky, but just the right amount. They practically melted in your mouth with every bite. The customer service was just as impressive as the food. One of the owner's daughters helped check us out, and she did an amazing job. She was friendly, welcoming, and even offered my daughter a popsicle because it was such a hot day. Those little gestures really make a difference. To top it all off, the Jarritos drinks, Fruit Punch and Mandarin were the perfect finishing touch to an already fantastic meal. If you're looking for fresh, authentic pizza, amazing sides, and outstanding customer service, Happy Pizza is a must-visit. We'll definitely be making the drive again and honestly, we'd do it just for that pizza!

I saw a family come in after us and the children were given some seat cushions. I might ask for them next time! My husband ordered a glass of Cabernet and I had the Pinot Grigio. Yelp photos showed a bar with a cocktail menu, but that is no longer available. I should have taken a menu photo because there are no longer entrees, just pizza and a special of the day which was lasagna. We each ordered a side salad, a half hot honey pepperoni and half margarita pizza, and a lasagna. The food was served hot and everything was fresh and tasted good. I felt the lasagna was pricy at $32 for a single portion with three small garlic bread pieces. I would not order it again. It was just okay. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert. It came with a delicious berry topping. It was excellent. The service was excellent. It is a small restaurant, so make a reservation to ensure a table. The menu is limited and there is no longer a full bar. Would we return? I'm not sure. The pizza selection is very small. Not enough choices for me.

Everyone here was very attentive and friendly! *RESERVATIONS ARE NECESSARY! No walk ups allowed. The 2 dishes that were outstanding to me were: 1. CHEESY SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP. Served in a cast-iron skillet, topped with melted cheese and pico de gallo. Such a delicious starter! I loved the dip with tortilla chips. If you run out of chips or pico de gallo, you can request more at no extra charge. 2. GRILLED ASIAN CHICKEN SALAD. Crisp romaine, cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, scallions, green beans, crunchy wonton strips, and sweet ginger sesame dressing. A fresh vibrant medley of different textures and flavor! This is easily enough for two people to share. They are generous with the portions. One of the best salads I've ever had! Both dishes were so good, my sister and I went there a second time (the next night) during our trip and ordered the same thing!

For example, I ordered the New York strip. It was cooked perfectly, but the quality of the beef was not great. My wife had the same comment about the Steak Frites, although she said her grilled shrimp were delicious. My kids loved it, which counts for a lot after a long day at the water park. My older son enjoyed his grilled Salmon, but I tasted a bite and would again rate it similarly to the beef. Prepared well, but I've had better fish before. The cornbread was super sweet. Way too sugary, could barely taste the corn. Our waitress was friendly and nice. She didn't know the difference between real and creamy horseradish. I had to remind her about the wine I ordered which was sitting in the bar window for a while. Try to get a table inside unless you want to eat withing earshot of a kids dance party in the evening.

I went in at 12:30 for their lunch buffet which didn't end until 1:30. The cashier was disinterested in any sort of customer service or hospitality and barely spoke English. None of the tables in the entire building were cleaned. I had to clear the table I sat at of the 8 dishes and four cups to have a place to sit. There were no fresh pizzas brought out during the hour I was there. I was one of four parties and there was no service. The pizzas were cold and flavorless and you only had a combo, Hawaiian, pepperoni, and garlic twists to eat. The only positive that earns them the one star was a well stocked salad bar. Lots of produce topping choices. The ranch dressing seemed watered down. They play obnoxiously loud unknown reggae music for some strange reason and I couldn't even hear my phone when someone called me. I had to go outside to take the call. It's a tragedy because the locations I have been to have always been great with keeping the pizzas warm and putting more out when down to the last few slices. That did not happen here. When those three pizzas ran out you were left with breadsticks that had probably been out since the buffet started. The cook and the cashier did nothing to clean up the place the entire time I was there. Not worth the $15.

If people are going to pay for extra and ask for their pizza to be a specific way, you guys really need to make sure you're doing it the way that people are asking and paying extra for.
