I LOVE this location. The food is generally a 4 star, though they will accommodate special requests I have had in the past. Really, the manager makes it a five star because she goes out of her way to accommodate you. A few months ago, our party had just left St. Joseph's hospital and wanted a quick bite. They had a deal on pizza, but we wanted to sit and eat it. They have no tables and chairs to dine in. The manager actually pulled out a folding table for us, and just went way above and beyond to make our experience great. Can't recommend this location enough. This is, hands down, our favorite pizza place in Tucson. The pizza is always perfectly cooked and with the garlic and herb seasoning on the crust...it's just undeniable the best!!!! I promised i would write a review here it is! the food here is actually amazing quality, it doesn't taste like it was pre-frozen like the other stores, very good quality ingredients! I love how they actually put a lot of cheese in their crust and have so many options for the crust my favorites are the garlic and ranch! they have amazing customer service and i had the same driver a few times and when they didn't have the wings I wanted they hooked a girl up thank you, driver, for your kindness! Not only that they give you paper plates and a decent amount of napkins and sauces! One of my favorite pizza places! Been going to this one for 1 1/2 years. Always have had excellent and quick service. My order has been right 100% of the time which is quite impressive given the fact ive been going there as long as i have. I highly recommend the steak and cheese calzone and the bacon cheeseburger pizza with garlic crust! One of the few places were ive actually gotin to know a couple of the managers because they take the time to talk to and get to know their regulars. Grade A food and Grade A staff! Lastly i would download their App and always look under deals, they have alot of good deals in there like any regular calzone and a soda for only five dollars. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would! My husband and I have been going to this place ever since they originally opened at this location. In my opinion they have the best pizza in town hands down. After ordering from Papa Johns for my daughters 2nd birthday and waiting two and a half hours we called Howie's and they saved the day as usual. Never going anywhere else for pizza now . read more

If I could give Hungry Howie's a zero, I would. Their employees are always too high to function, they have a hard time remembering orders and constantly leave things either at the store or in their car. I ordered from Hungry Howie's on Pantano last night, it literally took an hour for the food to get here and then he forgot the drinks and the garlic sauce. He had to go back to the store to get it which literally took about 15 to 20 minutes so by the time our drinks got here we were already done eating. And another thing, do not use their split technique online, I split my payment between my debit card and cash and it put it all on my debit card. The delivery driver didn't even have me sign the receipt so I didn't realize that it was paid in full until I looked at my receipt. I literally complained about the service and this delivery driver thought that I gave him a $13 tip, didn't even say anything. I go in today to get my $10 back, because I only meant for him to have a $3 tip because his service sucked, and they're only excuse was, I'm sorry he's new. So you don't train your new guys to have the customers sign the receipt when they use a card? Because if he had, this whole ordeal would have been avoided. A group of us ordered pizza from this place at work. The pizza was delicious and the crust was even better. They have different options for crust that you can choose. Ours was garlic and herb and the other was Parmesan. I preferred the Parmesan crust better. This place has large pizzas for $5 and is a million times better than Little Caesars $5 pizza. Worst experience with a Pizza franchise ever. I live less than 5 minutes away from the store (maybe 10 with the construction on Pantano), and my Pizza was quoted for delivery in 40 minutes. 80 minutes later I call, and the stoned delivery driver, who thought my house was an apartment, says he's "5 minutes away" multiple times. When we complain about being so late, they accused me of lying about the delivery time and they claimed they quoted me an hour. Even if that were so, which its not, they still very late on an order extremely close to the store. I will never order from a Howie's again, and I would not recommend their delivery to anyone. read more

Thanks for the large pepperoni pizza that cost $25.00 with tip. Too bad you had to take at least 3 bites of any one of the pieces to get a bite of pepperoni. I counted 13 slices of pepperoni. On a "pepperoni" pizza, you should get a bite of pepperoni with every bite otherwise it is just a cheese pizza. One slice didn't even have one slice of pepperoni on it. We ordered 2 calzones, Cajun bread and brownies. The food was good. Delivery was prompt and the employees were polite and nice. The 2 star review is based on a service error and missed opportunity to fix it. Our order was missing sauces for both calzones and the bread. I called the store to report the missing items. They were kind and said they would send out the missing items with the driver. They never delivered the missing sauces. You pay a delivery fee here. We picked this place because they deliver. For value, taste, courtesy from employees,speed of service and preperation time I give it a big thumbs up. Just ordered two large pizzas, they forgot to make them with butter cheese crust. We asked if they could replace the order with what we ordered. They said they have a no refund policy. I told them I didn't want a refund but I would like to have what I paid for which was two large 1 topping pizzas with BUTTER CHEESE CRUST. All they said they could do was offer me a Howie Bread, really if I wanted a Howie bread I would have ordered one. This makes me very upset, I didn't even get an apology for giving me the incorrect order. I will not be making another order with their company. Not very good customer service. My order (pizza, 10 wings, cheese bread) took 45 minutes to wait. We waited outside for a while, got bored, decided to go inside and wait, also to make sure they still were going to make our order. There were about 6 employees in the restaurant. They were cursing very loudly. My wife asked them nicely to stop cursing because our 4 year old son was with us. My son turned to me and asked "Bitch please?" , because he heard one of the employees yell this comment. The employees didn't stop cursing when my wife asked them to stop. Hungry Howies used to be my favorite pizza place, however since this store got new management, they suck! Not only the service but the food too! Asked for butter cheese flavored crust, our crust was plain, the pizza was cold even though we actually picked it up rather than having it delivered, our howie bread was essentially bread and salt, and our brownie tasted like fake hot chocolate powder. We used to get pizza from her every couple of months. It was decent and we liked the flavored crust options. However, after our last visit we will not return. I ordered a pizza for pick up, picked it up and went in to work. (This is a job where my kids come with me) After my kids took their first bite they were complaining of the pizza being too spicy. The crust was red, which was really weird because I ordered the garlic crust. So I called to tell them that we didn't get what we ordered. The guy seemed to remember my pizza and said it was their sriracha crust. They offered to make me another pizza but I was at work and couldn't leave to go get it. The guy told me not to order that pizza if it was too hot for my kids and I explained to him I didn't order it and they messed up.
