While traveling in Branson, MO we wanted a good country breakfast. Decided to give this place a try. When we arrived there was quite a wait. It's pretty small inside with few tables. We finally got sat after about 25 min at the counter. We were greeted right away by our very friendly server. I ordered a combo breakfast with French toast, eggs and sausage. I added a biscuit. Everything was very tasty. They had both sausage Pattie's and links. Tyke bit of a kick. The links were a bit on the sweeter side. The French toast was made with homemade bread. It was nice an cinnamony with a dust of powdered sugar. The biscuit was a bit on the dry side, but with some butter it was ok. I rate restaurants on the basis of vision. This gets a five because it knows what it is and what it isn't. For example, no berries, no yogurt, no salmon, no avacado. Which is fine, they promise large portions of fresh breads, biscuits, eggs, and - frankly - almost ridiculous- sized pancakes. They are everything you read... friendly, fast, comforting. We arrived around 9am on a Saturday in late July and, while the dining area is small, only waited 15-20 minutes (amazing considering prime time arrival). Did not feel rushed, coffee was constantly filled by freindly folks. Left before 10am and - because portions were so large - skipped lunch and didn't dine again until after 7pm. This place appears to stay busy and the servers are hustling. Took a bit to place order but honestly didn't mind. Now, the food! After reading reviews and looking at photos I really wanted to give this place a try. We decided to visit late morning so everyone would have the choice of either breakfast or lunch. I guess we could have gone earlier since everyone ended up ordering breakfast anyway... When I checked in, the staff was very friendly. They did say we had to be on property when they called as they are really busy. I said we would and we waited in the air conditioned car in the parking lot for the 45 minutes quoted. This place is a little ways out from Branson. In fact, my wife asked as we were driving along country roads enroute to the restaurant if the GPS was taking us to the right place. I assured her we were going the right way. Once seated our server was very attentive! She was awesome! She took the time to tell us about the food and portion sizes. I opted to try the chicken fried steak, and let me just say it was phenomenal! I had my hash browns upgraded to Bob's style; and they were absolutely scrumptious! Their white & wheat bread are homemade, making the toast delicious. I ordered my eggs scrambled on the side for my toddler. My wife had a half order of biscuits and gravy with hash browns - the portion looked more like a full order! And she loved it! Our 20 year old ordered a half order of french toast and could barely finish it. She said it was really good. Our teen had an enormous pancake with Bacon and our tween settled for a giant cinnamon roll. Everyone loved the food! The portions are very large and we were easily able to split our meal and have leftovers for the next day. The food tasted good, as it should, nothing over the top but still good. Best place we have eaten in Branson and we have been here for 4 days so far. Stopped in for breakfast around 9:45 on a Friday morning during spring break. Lady met us at the door and informed us it was about an hour wait. We said yep, we are all in! They called us within 15 minutes and said seating was available at the bar area so we took it. So glad we stopped here because breakfast was amazing! Husband had the ham &cheese omelet with a pancake and said it was the best. We tried out the french toast and it was best we have ever had. Got there at 8:20 on a Friday and waited about 20 min (they had told us as much as 40, so it was a conservative estimate). Pancakes and biscuits taste like Bisquick. Veggies are obviously the frozen kind, not fresh. The coffee isn't very good. The bacon was extremely fatty and soft. BUT the cinnamon rolls kill. They are as big as your face so plan to share.
