The Hunter Ranch Grille was Fantastic!!! They were VERY accommodating when we came in 10min before they closed. (even if it was only 5pm) They even turned on the Monday night football game for us. Me and my group ordered quite a bit of food and a couple drinks after a long game. It was all happy hour so the prices were outstanding! It all came up prompt and cooked perfect. I had the sliders and they were really good! Bun could of been a bit larger but that didn't matter much, it tasted amazing! We never felt rushed and hung out for about an hour watching the game and shooting the S@#! I HIGHLY recommend this place for happy hour or any hour! read more

We always have lunch here when we're in the Paso Robles area. The lunches are great and you get to sit on a nice deck and watch people play golf. What could be better? I have the composed cobb salad every time I come here. The husband has had the caesar salad, the oriental salad, the fiesta salad and the fish tacos (delicious). I believe they told us the tartar sauce was made in-house, but regardless the tartar is delicious. read more

I've been here before for the weekend brunch and it was pretty good. Bacon is as fab as they say and you really can't beat bottomless champagne. Recently I came here with a large group from work for an end of the year breakfast. We had the entire inside-about 6 eight tops all with separate checks. How the servers didn't run when they saw us coming is beyond me. We all ordered and I went with the club benedict which could have been disastrous considering poached eggs are hard to do and there was a crowd for sure. They came out perfect!! Our server was wonderful and didn't have any problem remembering who got what or separating out the checks. Bravo! Looking forward to going back again soon! read more

So we do the South Bay -SLO trek frequently and I finally fatigued of the fast food lunch stop. We had 3 hungry kids so checked on Yelp for a good lunch place where we could sit down and enjoy a reasonably tasty meal. Hunter Ranch Grille was a very pleasant and enjoyable surprise. The restaurant sits up on the hill overlooking the course so we decided to sit outside on shaded porch. The waitress was very nice and efficient. She asked if for our drink orders as she seated, which was great given the Paso heat. (BTW - ice tea is very tasty). Lunch menu is nice mix of salads, sandwiches, burgers and some entrees. Kids menu was standard (hamburgers, hot dogs, mac n cheese, etc) but they do give an option on sides - fries, fruit, salad, rice. Nice. Kids meal potions were big, include jello dessert and for $5 are a GREAT value. Much nicer than your average family restaurant fare. The adults had the fish and chips (tasty cod and nice tartar sauce) and their grilled chicken sandwich with bacon, avocado, tomatoes and basil aioli was yummy. They also give you a choice of sides - salad, rice, fries, sweet potato fries (thumbs up), etc. Shared a mud pie for dessert and was delicious. Would highly recommend Hunter Ranch Grille for the weary traveler looking for a nice respite from the typical freeway fast/quicky food scene. read more

Great views with decent food that gets the job done. My family and I were struggling to make reservations for dinner and Hunter Ranch accommodated us that same day. Two of us had the hamburger and another enjoyed the ribeye steak. It's okay if you're in a pinch and need a place to eat. read more

This location was suggested to us by a local so we decided to give it a try. What an amazing view. There is outside seating with heaters as well as inside. There's also a view is the golf course. Our waitress was amazing and was able to explain dishes if we had questions and she also made suggestions. Definitely a spot worth checking out. read more

The locals told us to go here for brunch. It was way too pricey for the quality. I wish we had gotten regular food there on a different day instead of the brunch day. I came here with my sister for Sunday brunch and we had so much fun! Our server Jon, was super amazing! You can have bottomless mimosas or just glasses of champagne. This was a wonderful place to have lunch. I had a prime rib open faced sandwich. It was tender, flavorful served with baby greens salad topped with shaved Parmesan and balsamic dressing on the side. Very fresh. We were seated outside and though it was a cold day, the patio was protected with clear plastic panels and quite cozy. Our server was very nice and efficient. The surrounding grounds are flower filled and lovely with a view of rolling hills and the golf course. I took off one star because, seated at the next table, was a lady with her pet dog. She held it in her lap while it sniffed all the food on her table. then, several times she had it stand on her table to eat dog food out of a bowl. She then set it down and it walked all around sniffing other diners. I like dogs but don't think they should be allowed to stand on restaurant tables or allowed to run around leash-less. I believe someone in the restaurant management should have asked her to remove the dog from her table at the least. Thank you Hunter Ranch Grill for an excellent meal. Oh, sweet wonderful Tasha. Our server made today's brunch so nice. My daughter and I finished our fabulous Paso weekend by dining at Hunter Ranch. We had the full brunch, with some great champagne and food. The prime rib and salmon were excellent. Tasha kept the coffee and champagne going. She was so doting and pleasant. Having eaten at Hunter Ranch grille several times, I find the service, quality, and location to be wonderful! It is a bit hidden away on the golf course and this is really good as there is golf happening all around. The club sandwich is wonderful and I just like the place. We went for brunch on a Sunday. I'd looked at the menu online & was all set to order pancakes, eggs, & sausages, but when we got there we realized that on Sundays, your options are to choose from a more limited menu or to get the buffet breakfast. The more limited menu didn't include most of the things I'd been excited about, but the buffet (which seemed to include just about everything) was $22 a head, and there was just no way I was going to eat enough to make that worth it. So, in the end we ended up settling for a breakfast burrito and a sausage & egg sandwich, both of which were very good -- just not what we'd gone there hoping for. This was the perfect lunch spot in between wine tastings at Tobin James and J. Lohr. There was no wait, service was friendly and fast, and the view was beautiful. I loved my seafood melt which was a grilled crab and shrimp open faced sandwich topped with lettuce, tomato, cheese and avocado. As my side item, I chose the soup of the day which was a delicious roasted red pepper bisque. My husband had the prime rib sandwich and onion rings. The prime rib was too marbled for his taste, but the onion rings were perfectly crispy and plentiful. If you need somewhere to grab a bite amongst all of the wineries in the area, look no further and save yourself a trip downtown - this place is a gem. read more

We visited three times last year, once on Thanksgiving day. Everything we've ordered has been of excellent quality and priced reasonably: salads, fish and chips, sandwiches... have all been tasty and have had good service. The golf course was scenic and fun, but the back 9 is significantly more challenging than the front. Looking forward to returning. read more
