Veggie omelette with less onions as requested Spinach, cheese, mushroom omelette and loved the fact that each plate came with salsa! That was wonderful to see and taste on our omelettes. Meals came out quick and hot. Both with home fries and toast, but we also purchased a cinnamon bun with lighter amount of glaze on it... bun came out hot! delicious cinnamon in it.... Coffee was okay and we had good table service.

Sunday morning breakfast at a spot with strong diner energy -- old-school feel, quick turnover, no fluff. It was busy but not chaotic, and I grabbed a seat at the bar with no wait. I went for the steak and eggs (probably the priciest thing on the menu at $29), mostly out of curiosity -- and because I was nervous that medium rare would come out overcooked, I asked for rare. It came out very rare -- more red than I wanted, but still good. The ranchero sauce saved it. Gave the plate just enough taste and heat to make it work. The real winners were the hash browns -- crispy, golden, and hands down the best part of the meal. I'd come back just for those. The sourdough toast with butter also hit the mark. No tricks, just done right. Ordered fried egg whites, and the server called them "flat plain eggs," which honestly cracked me up. A very diner moment. Overall: good food, big portions, fast service, and no pretension. If you like the charm of a classic diner and don't mind a slightly overzealous steak order, Joe's delivers.

Excellent place! Highly recommend. Greeted with a warm friendly welcome and chose our seating immediately. Our waitress Karen was awesome! Prompt service, fresh hot coffee, breakfast was amazing! The salad was fresh, the BLT was made perfectly and the fries were shoestring nice crispy and hot. Loved it so much going back again tomorrow.

A classic "hole-in-the-wall" local eatery. Fun environment with lots of wall decor celebrating the military and veterans. The kind of hangout where a Jane Fonda sticker in the urinal wouldn't be out of place. Lots of friendly locals. Felt like a little piece of Texas had been dropped right into the middle of California. Excellent range of breakfast selections. Our group of four ordered a little of everything: eggs, hue is rancheros, pancakes, biscuits + gravy. Thumbs up all around the table.

This is your basic hometown breakfast place. They have a lot of options and all tasted good. I had the chicken fried steak and half order of biscuit and gravy. Food comes out fast, but like in Fresno, if you get there after 9 am on a weekend, get ready to wait in line.

Ordered veggie omelette and San Franciscan. Big portions and tasty. Staff friendly. We were able to walk here since our hotel was close by but they have a parking lot. Lots of military memorabilia and photos on the wall.

Basic breakfast spot Ambiance: old school country style dinner. Wooden tables and chairs. Lots of army decorations. Service: we had the younger waitress and she was super nice! The hostess was a bit snooty. We accidentally went in the exit to enter. Food: just ok Cake, egg and bacon: pancakes was the best, not as fluffy as expected, loved the butter. Barely any egg, bacon almost too crispy burnt Dillinger Breakfast Burrito: Perfect, hearty and amazing 2 egg, bacon breakfast: it was ok, the bacon a little too crispy. But lots of bacon to eat in fact 4 pieces. French toast: too small could have been better

The food here is absolutely delicious. The service by Dianne was amazing and she has the greatest sense of humor you'll ever find. Also, the ambience was very patriotic. We will definitely come to Joe's every time we're in Paso.

My kinda place! First, the food was top shelf! Then the vibe and atmosphere was exactly what I love, rustic, Americana and down-home! The service was just as good as the food, very attentive and accommodating. The owner himself even came to the table to chat with us and see how we were liking everything. Turned out we had a couple things in common, so he sat and chatted with us a while, but not in any imposing way at all. The whole experience was ideal and will definitely make it a regular stop every time we're in town!

I driving a wine tour today. I picked up grandma & grandpa in Nipomo. Picked up the "kids" in Paso with the new baby and we're sittin' at Joe's for breakfast. I sat myself at the counter, my favorite solo spot in a diner. Easy enough, menu was tried and true. I realized that their prices were a bit lower than most menus I've read lately...hum. I found a Wimpy Omelet, that looks good. They subbed fruit for the potato and that was the best mix of different fresh fruit, ever. Well in no time at all my breakfast was steaming hot in front of me, Thank you. Delicious as ever, bacon, turkey, cheese, sliced avocado on top, and a side of salsa, Yummy. I don't think I ever came up for air, it was really good and flavorful. Credit cards accepted, no they didn't let me wait till Tuesday. It can be difficult to see Joe's from street level, since it sits upon an elevation, ample parking but I'm sure it's a mad house on the weekends. I stick to weekdays for my return and I'll bring a friend look forward to a new delicacy. Tip Well foodguy-Martin

While exploring Paso Robles, looking for breakfast options, we learned of Joes Place. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast at Joe's. Diner-style cooking, in a homestyle setting, as if going to visit a favorite grandparent. The interior felt very comfortable and homely, and had lots of military decor throughout. I opted for my standard chicken fried steak and eggs, with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. It was hearty, filling, and delicious. My wife got the chilaquiles. She loved it. Her tortillas were crispy, her dish well-season, and she was very pleasantly surprised by the refried beans (which apparently isn't standard for other restaurants). Our server was friendly, the portions were large, the food came quickly, and the prices were reasonable. Definitely a great place to stop in for breakfast.

Country Scramble with Full gravy and biscuit side. Plus 3 pancakes.

It's a small place, not fancy, but it felt friendly and relaxed, the kind of place that doesn't try too hard and knows what it is. Here are the details... *Service: everyone was very friendly. The guy at the front was genuinely nice, but he was pretty confused and confusing when I asked about the daily specials and pricing. He tried to explain it, but it made understanding what was what harder than it should have been. Nothing negative intention-wise at all, just a little chaotic and unclear. *Food: I ordered the burger medium rare, no cheese. It came out medium well with cheese and a very small piece of pineapple. Not exactly what I ordered, but it still tasted good. It had plenty of condiments, lettuce, tomato, a thin slice of ham, and mayonnaise. Flavor-wise it was solid, just not what I asked for. The fries were excellent. Crispy, fresh, and clearly made from real potatoes. They slice whole potatoes in-house with a slicing machine and turn them straight into fries, which I thought was really cool. They also had some kind of seasoning on them that made them even better. They have a lot of good burger options, plus chicken sandwiches, salads, and chicken strips. I liked that there was variety beyond just burgers. They also do a daily special burger for $10.99, combo meals are $13.99, and you can sub onion rings for fries for $0.99, which felt fair. *Ambiance: it's pretty clean, open, and small, about ten tables inside. It felt comfortable and simple. There are a few tables out front and a picnic table under a big tree, which is a nice idea, but it's right off the main street so it's not super peaceful. *Value: it felt like a pretty good value. The pricing made sense for what you get, especially with the daily specials and combo options. Nothing felt overpriced. *Overall: this was a solid but not standout experience. Friendly people, great fries, good burger flavor, but the order accuracy and confusing explanation of specials held it back. I give it 3 out of 5 stars. It's a decent stop if you're in the area and want something casual and quick. I added a bunch of pictures to help you get a feel.
