    DENVER OMELETTE

Delicious brunch spot in downtown Paso! Cute cafe and friendly staff and quick service. I got the Denver omelette with added mushrooms. It came with avocado and choice of bread and either country potatoes or hash browns. They have a bunch of sauces at the table to top your breakfast the food was delicious. Will definitely come again!

Very cute spot with a good variety of breakfast items. I opted for the homemade breakfast plate which was two sopes with beans, chorizo, avocado, and eggs. The door was very good and definitely tasted homemade. The service was hit or miss, but they were very nice.

Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere all around. The location is convenient, and the food is absolutely delicious. A great place to enjoy a meal and spend time with family and friends.

Monarca has escaped me, seems to be closed everytime I'm looking for a place. They have breakfast and lunch hours M-Th, and longer days F-Su. As it turns out, I've lost out until recently. So damn cute inside, especially during the holidays. So damn nice and helpful, service and management. So damn delicious, owner is also the chef and he knows what he's doing. So damn fresh, from the homemade chorizo, fish, and all the vegies. Basically, they have Mexican food...with a steak & a few seafood options for dinner. I'll be back, and often. Their 3 salsa's made fresh everyday are nothing short of magnificent.

Solid option for breakfast/brunch right in the center of town, Monarca is delicious. A cozy setting nestled among several businesses and yet it's comfortable and even something of an oasis once you enter. Holiday lights, for now, but still it's pretty inside. The options are many: Skillets, omelets, sweets, salads and more. I could not resist the carne asada (including rice, beans, squash, carrots, jalapeños, avocado and French fries). All so good and fresh. The rice cilantro built in; the beans were creamy and smooth and delicious. The meat was cooked pretty much to order (MR), and it comes with your choice of corn or flour tortillas. It's huge, and I nearly finished it all! My dining companion got the breakfast burrito which looked good and was, in due time, demolished. There is such a deep menu here that I imagine you probably can't go wrong with whatever catches your eye. I also liked the coffee; a good bodied, non-acidic brew worthy of a few refills.

    California burrito

We did a quick look for sit down breakfast places we could walk to, and this one popped up as interesting. The place itself was clean and well decorated. When we arrived it was fairly empty, yet somehow we were offered the 2 worst tables - right at the door, and then in the corner where the wasn't enough room to sit. Third try and we got one against the wall. Hubby got an omelet and potatoes. Bread didn't seem buttered, but he enjoyed the egg. I got the California burrito with maduros. Not much meat in the burrito but it was ok. Maduros were awful and I was sad to have to pass on them. We laughed on our way out, noting they had specials advertised outside but not inside. The menu seems like it has an identity disorder - Peruvian? Mexican? American? My guess is that the food etc would be better if they leaned into one. Giving this a genuine "meh". I've had better, but I've had worse. And no real need to return.

Pretty good! I ordered the chile relleno and an Arnold Palmer. The Chie was EXCEPTIONAL. The service was pretty quick too. We sat outside, so there wasn't much of a view except for the park. My one lil nitpick was that the tortillas were a bit greasy for my taste.

    Club Sandwich and criss-cut Fries

Was shopping in Paso Robles and needed lunch. Ordered a Club Sandwich, which came on a roll. It also came with some criss-cut fries. I ordered a soda. The sandwich was really dry, and the fries lacked flavor. Might come here again if I am in the area, but would order something else.

Stopped for Sunday brunch in downtown Paso Robles. We were lucky to get seated fairly quickly considering most places were packed, including this one. Pretty generous serving and the food was delish! We all liked what we got. :)

I did not have a great experience here! First, my boyfriend made a reservation for us, but when we arrived, no one came to the front to meet us for several minutes (we were at the podium outside but the doors are clear glass), and when we walked in the door to try to grab someone, no one made eye contact or greeted us again for several minutes. I had to wave someone down and ask about our reservation, one of the staff members said to hold on, and we proceeded to wait awkwardly without guidance for several more minutes. Once we got seated, our waitress came up and immediately asked us if we were ready to order, without having opened the menu yet. Further, we waited about 30 minutes for our food to come out once we did order. My boyfriend ordered one of the breakfast combos with scrambled eggs, ham and hash browns. His meal was cold and the serving of ham was pretty small. On the other hand, I had the Monarca breakfast burrito, which was hearty and flavorful. I really liked the chorizo! I thought the breakfast burrito was very good, but the service experience here would probably prevent me from going back before trying other places in the area. I hope others don't have this same experience, as it looked like they had many other good items on the menu!

Amazing breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. The Chilaquiles with chile verde sauce was amazing. Good service and a reasonable price. We will definitely be back

The green and red chilaquiles were AMAZING. Beautiful plating, served over whole pinto beans with sour cream and cheese. Perfect crunch (not soggy), and the red chilaquiles were my favorite, super flavorful and authentic. I also tried the sopes and WOW. They stayed crunchy, the chorizo wasn't spicy, and the sauces were sooo good, especially the green one. The service was great! The restaurant was cute inside! Lots of butterfly decorations! Cute! Definitely coming back!

Even though it was a 15 minute drive up the freeway from where I was, it was worth every minute. The downtown area this shop is in was really cool, plenty of parking, and the moment you walked into this coffee shop you could tell it was going to be good. Lots of space, people sitting and having conversations, and a greeting from the Barista the second I walked through the door. I went with my standard iced oat milk latte with honey and a triple shot and it was perfect. I wish I could have drank it there because the inside of the shop seemed like a place you could hang out for a while. Unfortunately, I had to take it on the road, but that is a shop (if I lived in that area) I would drive out of my way to get to. Well done guys!

To be fair, we did order a latte, so that is partly expected. The breakfast sandwich was good but a little underseasoned and could have used a bit more flavor overall. The chicken pesto sandwich was the standout. The pesto was well balanced and did not overpower the rest of the ingredients, which made the sandwich really pleasant to eat. Overall, everything was solid, though slightly pricey for the portion sizes. The food was good, but nothing especially memorable. Still, it is a nice stop if you are in the area.

Kid got his water in the paper cup:) Went for what seemed to show up on reviews the most. - Ranchero steak & eggs = the steak was tri tip, which was too chewy. It worked out once I started slicing thin pieces from it and it became tender enough to eat. * I think the correct choice is to pay more to get the 12oz NY steak and eggs instead, since tri tip just too chewy. The famous ranchero sauce was good, but quite spicy! Kept eating it despite getting heated from spice, since it added the flavors. - Chilaquiles supreme = chilaquiles was good, but the tri tip piece from the supreme upgrade made it too chewy and detracted from the base chilaquiles. * I think the regular chilaquiles would be the better choice to enjoy without distraction of tri tip pieces. Or maybe ask if can make the supreme with other protein choices maybe some chopped up bacon or sausage pieces instead if allowed to substitute? - The hash browns side was perfect and delicious! Definitely wins over the homefries option. - Cinnamon roll = huge and a meal on it's own. was too much after the 2 entree's The menu is so vast, I think it's a winner as long as you stay away from entrees with tr tips. I just went too all in on tri tips, lol. Would love to try again sticking to the diner classics of pork chops or chicken fried steak, or the ny steak and eggs, or any omelettes or burritos.

I mean... Riding a horse on the open plains.... Wearing Levi jeans, a flannel shirt, with a big cowboy hat, a pair of cowboy boots, and rocking that big belt buckle sounds pretty cool to me. But being a Cowboy or a Cowgirl for that matter is more than just the catchy attire, it's a Lifestyle! Rooted in hard physical labor, long days, loyalty, deep respect and responsibility for the land and herding cattle are just some of the core values and responsibilities of being a true Cowboy/Cowgirl. Hell, I might not be a Cowboy, Yet... But I sure do respect the Lifestyle they live and for now, you can find me on the sidelines rocking out to my favorite country and Western artists: Morgan Wallen, George Straight, Garth Brooks and of course my Girls Reba, Lainey Wilson and Carrie Underwood. Heck, All I need now is my Cowboy Hat & Boots, Well, I suppose I should get a horse too ;) ------------------------ Now, Saddle up Partner, let's get this review on the road. A Cowboy needs a Strong, Beautiful Woman by his side to wrangle him back in when he's out of line. Yeah, and just like you "Don't Mess With Texas", You definitely Don't mess with a Cowgirl! So when I ate at the Cowgirl Cafe in Downtown Paso Robles, I was on my best behavior. Located at 1316 Pine Street, this hole in the wall Cafe is where locals and visitors come together to break bread. A well themed decor diner that's open from 6am-2pm daily, The Cowgirl Cafe serves up a mean breakfast & lunch and boy did I enjoy it. 2 Eggs sunny side up, corned-beef hash, their Chef's Special Home Fry Potatoes, a side of toast, & a cup of coffee... All served with that hometown, local hospitality from our server who waited on us... You know, just like a cowboy, I tipped my hat to her and tipped her very well for her excellent service. As mentioned earlier.... The Cowgirl Cafe is open from 6am-2pm daily, so for you early risers who live the Cowboy life of waking up before the Sunrise, a hot meal will waiting for you. But don't fret if you are new to this Cowboy/Cowgirl rise and shine, get the day started off early business... Cause they serve breakfast up until 2pm (or until the cows come home). YeeHaw!!!
