Seriously though, great staff and over the years even after Covid, we've made, and met new friends and old here. The food service here is awesome, even especially for a bar. I can honestly say I've been to Hunters like 15 times already and I completely forgot to do a review! This is my ultimate favorite dance club in Palm Springs. The staff is amazing, the AC works great, and the Dj's here are all amazing. I come to Palm Springs frequently and always stop here for a drink and a little dancing. Bar tenders are great and they really have a great crew running this club. If you're looking to go dancing, this is your place. This club is roomy so you don't feel like you're in others people's space which I love. Lots of bachelorette parties come here, because they know it's a great time! read more

First visit to this "dance bar" which is in the heart of the gay area (Arenas Rd.) in downtown Palm Springs. We stopped in during Christmas week, and it was packed. Seemed to be a younger crowd than some of the other places on the street. The three of us found a spot at the bar, but the music was so loud that having a conversation was nearly impossible. The drinks were strong. I ordered a Bullet Old Fashioned ($16.50) and my wife and brother had a Titos Madras ($11.50/ea.). We also ordered a shot of Jägermeister ($11.50). They had male go-go dancers around the main dance floor, providing a little extra visual stimulation over all of the regular customers out on the dance floor. Male and female waiters, but an all-male bar staff the night of our visit. Overall, I didn't enjoy it as much as our second stop, the Chill Bar, which was across the street, but I might go back again when it isn't so crowded. read more

I have to admit this place is nice inside and the ambience is awesome. I can't speak as much for the service tonight. The bartender really seemed to has zero personality, and not to mention he charged me $17 for one chocolate martini. There is nothing special about this martini! "Sprits Elevated" is a vast oversell... Pros: Friendly Staff (to a point), tons of space, fun dance music, good mix of personalities, and fast service. Cons: The most expensive well drinks we found on this trip to Palm Springs, bartenders who think that a Tequila Soda is Tequila and Seven up, a decent but far from elevated selection of spirits, staff who would rather greet and hang out with their friends who are there, and a strange mixed identity where you listen to sports fans screaming at TVS about a game that is on while the DJ is playing a decent mix of dance tunes which can be a bit jarring. That said, if you are fine with Spirits that just present, or just want a G&T while you dance it out, this place will fit the bill. read more

This is a big space with a lot of energy! Just the sort of thing you want for a Saturday night out with your friends! What doesn't work for me is a an unwelcoming or outright rude staff. The door personal were friendly and engaging. The bartender, however, was neither. He was outright rude. I don't know any other way to put it. Still a pretty fun place in downtown Palm Springs. The dance floor is always lively and there's always some groups of parties or bachelorette parties happening. Dancers are always good for watching and they do keep the guest pretty happy. Drinks are usual. You could get a good bartender that makes some great cocktails. Out of all the bars on Arenas during a holiday weekend, it was not as busy where we could enjoy getting a cocktail and a table to sit at. Had a glass of cab and my BFF had a Tito's cocktail and it was 18.00 total, which is about the norm for top shelf liquor and drinks these days, but still pricey. Service was just ok and the bartenders/staff were not friendly and seemed to have that WeHo 'tude/vibe. Appreciated the DJ and large dance floor on hand but otherwise didn't care for this place this time around. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I came here with 10 friends to celebrate my birthday. Most of us are LGBTQ+ and we chose this spot because we thought it would be a safe, fun place to spend the night. Instead, it turned into the complete opposite. At 8:30 PM, a security guard came up to us claiming my friend was "laughing too loud." We had only ONE drink between us, three of us weren't drinking at all, and we were simply enjoying ourselves. Out of nowhere, this guard escalated the situation, he called one of us a bitch and acted aggressive like he wanted to come at us. Imagine being called names by staff when you're supposed to be a welcome guest! We immediately left, because no one deserves to feel unsafe at a bar, especially in a space that's supposed to represent community and inclusion. On the way out, I told him he was rude, and his behavior confirmed exactly why the club was empty on a Sunday night. To the owners and managers: I strongly urge you to check your cameras from that night and hold your staff accountable. The way your security treats guests is unacceptable and drives people away. We will never return, and we'll make sure everyone we know hears about how this place treats people. Safe spaces should feel safe, this one does NOT. read more

I've been here before and really enjoyed it, but I was really put off by the rudeness of one of the bartenders. I was already having a bad evening, and I was hoping that maybe relaxing and having a beer while spending the night in Palm Springs would help with that-well it was just the opposite. I asked him what his problem was and he kept talking to his friends. I asked him again and then a bouncer came up to me and kicked me out/walked me out of the bar. This place is poorly ran! Visited here for a friend's birthday and got a table. Our table attendant was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The interior looked pretty cool inside. Had a great time at Hunters over the weekend. Happened to be there a couple of times when it was fairly quiet and there was a nice, low-key assortment of genders and such. Bartender was nice and poured a good drink. I'm sure it was too early for this, but I was glad to see the place wasn't overrun with obnoxious females. Please note the emphasis is intended to be on "obnoxious." I have absolutely no issue in general with women in gay bars. If we want equality, it has to run both ways. For those ladies that get offended that gay bars aren't as welcoming to straight women, the problem isn't your gender or sexual orientation, it's with a segment of you that behaves abominably when out in public. Nobody wants to deal with gaggles of boisterous women clamoring for attention and acting like they're auditioning for the latest trashy reality show. I know the shows glamorize the conduct, but in reality, it's not cute. No... really. Hell, most of us don't like it when males behave like that in a gay bar, either. I think it's awesome that women can feel safe & comfortable in a space that's primarily males. I'm sure that's a welcome respite from the aggressive/creepy guys you see daily pretty much anyplace else. But if you're celebrating a birthday/wedding/etc, why alienate the crowd that's trying to welcome you by being insufferable and distasteful? If you crave attention so badly that even bad attention is sufficient, that's a *you* problem. What a joke. Our group of four girls showed up to Hunters to celebrate a birthday -- only to be turned away at the door because we were wearing wigs. Seriously? It's 2025, not a high school dress code. We were also rudely shown the pride flag painted on the ground as if that was supposed to be a deterrent. The bouncer's attitude was rude and completely uncalled for. If fun and creativity aren't allowed here, don't call yourself a nightlife spot that's inclusive of all people. Our group of four women came to Hunters excited to celebrate a birthday -- wigs, sparkles, and all -- ready for a fun night out. Unfortunately, the night ended before it even began. The bouncer was unbelievably rude and refused to let us in because we were wearing wigs. We weren't causing a scene, we weren't intoxicated -- just trying to celebrate and enjoy the atmosphere. Instead, we were met with attitude and zero explanation beyond, "No wigs allowed." It was embarrassing and unnecessary. For a place that's supposed to be welcoming and inclusive, this experience was the exact opposite. We left disappointed and won't be coming back. Came here with friends and had a terrible experience with a blonde male worker with glasses, and an accent who came up to our group and said we were "laughing too loud." He then started speaking to my friend incredibly aggressively and acted as if he was going to hit her, then proceeded to kick us out. The best part of a night out in Palm Springs might just be Arenas Road. This downtown strip of gay bars knows how to party. I've visited Arenas in the past, but only recently experienced the Saturday night prime. Hunters is a hot spot along this strip. You'll find bright flashing lights, scantily clad go-go dancers (both male and female) and tons of bachelorette groups. Their DJ also knows how to drop a sick beat - unts unts. If you're looking for a fun dance floor, and a girls restroom filled with hype-women, Hunters is the place to be. Drinks are pricey but you won't be bothered by overly masculine men. As part-time locals, we often come here randomly and also when friends visit us. Hunters is one of three main bars we go to in PS (all on Arenas). On average, I'd say this is the most "mixed" customer base: straight and LGBTQ, young and older, all races...wonderful. They have a lot of themed nights throughout the entire week, depending on the night (Google it); there's lesbian nights, Bear Friday's, various drag shows, club DJs, bingo parties, etc. There's something for everyone here and you can always count on capable and friendly bartenders. Fish and Chips ($20)... 7/10. Pretty good. Taste is a tad salty, but perfect for me when Im craving this sort of thing. I love the batter... super light and fluffy (not crispy), and well salted. My complaint is the actual fish pieces are a little small (see pic). Comes with a ton of seasoned fries and a big portion of coleslaw. Lots of food. Basic Cheeseburger ($19).... 9/10. Very good. Love the size, shredded lettuce, ghost pepper cheese, brioche bun, and it was cooked well. Slight wish: I prefer more of a crisp on the outside of my burgers. Overall, well executed. We are big fans and regulars. REQUEST: PLEASE get ANY seltzer other than White Claw or Bud. Flavored Truly or Topo Chicos would be huge!!!! ADDITIONAL INFO: We just ordered the cheesecake tacos dessert... not good, weird, and VERY hard to eat. Pass on that dish. read more

This bar really needs to find its identity. Playing loud dance music while promoting and showing an NFL playoff game completely misses the mark for a sports bar atmosphere. Save the DJ and dance music for after the game--during playoffs, the game should be the main focus. read more
