The drag show was great, but definitely favoritism for large female groups. It was a small crowd for a Saturday about 6-8 table. No need for VIP tickets. Food was 2/5. Could be better than what was given. Drinks were strong which was the only plus side. Some drags asked for more money for specific things which was a turn off. read more

Yes, be prepared to pay for overpriced $20+ Lox bagel and refillable coffee, but in my opinion, the entertainment was well worth it. And as bonus, if you follow them on IG, you get a chance to win a gift card...which 2 of us won and the meal was practically complimentary! What I appreciate is that the host kicks things off with a vibe check of the audience. Expect some dark or crude humor sprinkled throughout. Sometimes the host drinks your mimosa but don't worry - they always replace your glass lol! I'm so glad we came on a DISNEY THEMED Sunday, wouldn't want any other theme! Disney songs cranked up with some savage and sass, and not only did they dance and lip sync to classic songs, they had skits. But overall we had a good time - A+ drag stats included Kennedy Davenport and excellent local/WeHo drag queens. The food was decent and the bloody Mary's were delicious. Oscar's is a PS and DTPS must! This gathering galley of entertainment, laughter and music is a fun filled safe space for all. Hosting Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 PM to 1 AM as well as the iconic weekend Bitchiest Drag Brunch with thee Anita Rose O'hara, a very amazing person inside and out of drag who has also become a friend we've been getting to know better. Love you, Anita! In a group of eight we arrived in pairs of two for an iconic, warm Saturday Funday brunch about 40-45 minutes or so before the main show which started around 11 AM (doors opened at 10 AM - recommended to arrive then for food and drink orders). We had an additional small table added as we originally put in for a group of six, but updated the night before and it was updated in the morning, but the table wasn't set up right away - they took care of it right away once everyone was there. I ordered their avocado toast, breakfast potatoes and fresh fruit. Once I saw the bottomless mimosas coming out I put in for this during the show as orders were coming out... Unfortunately for me and my friend Adam (who sat across from me as we rode over together), although arriving before most of our party... Our food was forgotten - we ended up not being able to eat until the late second half of the show after most of the table was done. This also happened with a few people in the middle of the party next to us, the middle doesn't get as much love as the rest. I only received my Avocado Toast, nothing else... No mimosas for me :_ ( and only one refill for Adam). Needless to say I was very hungry and though the toast was enjoyable enough, hardly enough food for the amount. Also hadn't had anything since 8PM the day before and it was close to The breakfast/brunch menu is not too overwhelming and they have some solid Chef's Favorites, Classics and Sides in the mix. I just wish I got to try more of it. I did get to try a potato or two from the group - sad I couldn't redonate and fill my tummy as they were yummy. I was very happy that Cliff (the birthday boy man), Rhyannon (his person), our friends Shaun, Carl and Rhyannon's sister and wife had everything they needed and wanted. Kudos to Shaun for six refills on mimosas. All the bills, because tipping is essential especially you performers, servers and essential folks making your brunch or events at Oscar's better. Loved all the performers especially Michael Silas and Brooklyn like New York. Luna LaFierce, Daisy Hollywood and of course the iconic hostess Anita Rose O'Hara were all top tier as well. 5 stars - For the fun, the amazing entertainment, kind owner (Dan) and staff. 3 stars - For the missed orders, forgotten about drinks, and the lack of airflow and the strange aroma only in the main entrance area more noticeable at the end of my first real Oscar's experience. Some of their other long running events such as Sunday T-Dance with DJ Mod Girl have definitely caught my eye. Might eat ahead next time and just do drinks.... So that I make sure I actually get food and all of it lol Our server did comp a lot to make up for it including my entire order plus my friend Adam's, and apologized more than once. They have/will have shows outside in cooler months and seasons in their very spacious patio/front entrance area. I would love to enjoy one of these. Q Tips: Parking is street and neighboring garage - almost all free with just time restrictions. Reservations are fundamental! We've gone a couple times to The Bitchiest Brunch, which we just adore! The first time we went we were seated furthest from the stage which is in an outdoor plaza. (which was perfect for our first time since we were just coming off of COVID) We assumed these were the bad seats, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the drag queens made it around to every person during every song! The ladies went all out to dazzle us with their hair, makeup, costumes and dance moves. We clapped and sang along - so much fun! We've gone back for brunch with family and friends visiting out of town, and it really is a hoot. The crowd is always eclectic, with bachelorette parties, locals, families, straight and gay couples - you're all friends by the end of the show. We made sure to get lots of $1 bills and tipped each performer twice during their songs. I ordered an Avocado Toast with a side of Applewood Bacon, as well as Bottomless Mimosas. It took a very long time for the food to come out, which is understandable, since there was lots of people there at the drag brunch, but it was still a little much. Be careful of how you deliver the money to the performers- some were waving money which we found out is offensive and at the end an intense speech was given about etiquette which was startling. Came for the brunch & drag show. To be quite honest, I was a bit let down. I've been to drag shows where they actually come out dressed as different stars; and even if they lip sink, they sing through a song wearing costumes to dress just like the star. However, here they just played music and the Drag queens came out, danced through the audience asking for tips-- which they provide plenty of one dollar bills for your $20's (even encouraged everyone to cash in) so everybody could get the queen to dance by their table. There wasn't really any acting or performing except that they were dancing well, but not really "impersonating" any star in particular. What is more, we had the impression from the website that brunch was included. Nope. No brunch included. Not the case. Rather you were handed menus and asked to order drinks and food above and beyond. The menu was very limited. Overall, it was just so so in my opinion. read more

This is a beautiful space and it has nice folks running it. However, I would not recommend the NYE event unless it's something that you are certain you want to do. The ticket booking experience was so bad. The portal does not give you much information and the tickets are all the same. There is no way to book together as a table once you reach a certain size. The price is also the same regardless of whether you want the buffet or not. The event is $150 and comes with a buffet. It is very cold and there are not enough heat lamps to make the event warm. It would be fine if they allowed you to move between the club and the patio. But you have to stay on the patio the whole time until after midnight. They tell you that they will combine the club and the patio before midnight but they never did. The performance also started an hour late. The event advertised the performances would start at 9:30 PM, but when we asked management they knew that the performances started at 10:30 PM. Again, it would be okay if they allowed people in the club, but they do not tell you anything and so you're left outside just waiting. The drag performers and our waiter Tim were excellent, but the event was really a bust for what they charged and what (little) they communicated about the event. I will not return for NYE. read more

Terrible, overpriced food. I ordered a $21 burger and $15 chicken wings for an event -- the burger was small with a clearly premade patty. They even asked how I wanted it cooked, and I said medium, but if it's a frozen patty, at least cook it well-done. The chicken wings were just four overcooked pieces. Definitely not worth the price. This is such a very fun spot for Saturday drag brunch. $20 bottomless mimosas, an amazing show, and a very mediocre cocktail and breakfast, oops. I ordered the traditional breakfast. It was fine, but bland. Because it was so busy, I didn't have the opportunity to ask for hot sauce or ketchup, and it wasn't available on the table. I did get the chicken sausage, but the sausage that came out was very clearly a hot dog. Espresso martini wasn't that great either.... We came upon an Eagles cover band and paid a premium for a VIP seat right up front, which included our dinner, and it was well worth it! The open air "plaza like" outdoor space is rich in details, spacious for large groups, and always scenic on Palm Springs evenings. Cuban guy here. I grew up in Miami eating delicious Cuban food at home and at various iconic restaurants, such as Lila's and Versalles, so I was excited about trying the food at Oscar's. They have a new chef who is Cuban and the menu features several dishes from that cuisine. We dined at Oscar's this evening and it did not disappoint. The food was Miami good. The dishes were attractive and delicious and could more than hold their own against Miami's best. The frita sliders were inspired. Adding melted Swiss cheese and just enough heat was a great idea. I'm not one for spicy hot foods, but this worked and did not overwhelm the dish. The ropa vieja (shredded beef) rivaled my best efforts and the lechón asado (roasted pork) was sublime. The plantains were perfect and the moros (black beans and rice) were quite good. The fried yucca was awesome. The portions were generous but not excessive. The service was friendly, courteous, and attentive. The ambience was relaxed and welcoming. Whenever visitors to the Coachella Valley would ask me if there were any good Cuban restaurants in the area, I'd usually say "my house". After tonight I'll say "Oscar's... and my house". I was excited for this drag show. Coming from Portland and growing up with Darcels in Portland before their death, I left incredibly disappointed. We had a table of four and getting service was terrible. The server kept walking by our table and serving the tables around us. I was asked by and older women, maybe a manager if I was enjoying myself and I told her no, because we weren't getting service and we were waiting 30 plus mins for a mimosa refill, ice tea, mixed drinks and water. That feedback was not effective. Even the performers dismissed our table. It wasn't until we chatted with a table next to us, that had some staff that worked there and friends of one of the performers that we realized it wasnt just our perspective. They noticed it too and they actually got up and told some, but that didn't help, until we purchased two of the most expensive bottles in their menu, so we didn't have to wait for refills that our waiter became attentive. This is around the end of the show. The food was ok. Our order was wrong, had it not been over an hour since we had sat down we would have said something, so we just ate it. The French toast was the best thing that we had ordered. The mimosas were not worth it since we barely had a refill. Maybe 2/3 during the whole time. Bathroom was gross and we were told to use the public restrooms outside of the location ‍ Some of the entertainers were better than others and were fun. The MC could use some coaching on sense of humor and joke delivery. Some were distasteful and not "bitchy" but just off putting. Lastly when our check came we were charged $99 for service/tip and it was labeled as "large party". How is 4 people a large party? When we brought it up to the waiter, he just shrugged his shoulders, gave my receipt and walked away. We saved some money since almost all the performers walked past our table and didn't even take the $ we were holding up. The couple that did were generously tipped $20 bill and $5s because we appreciated their effort. For those reasons I would not recommend Oscars. I rather take our money elsewhere. We were only here for the Live music (reason for 4 stars)! We were walking down the street and hear music and it's liked the Pied Piper, it drew us in. The Desert Crows were playing. We decided to get a drink and hang out under the misters in 97 degree heat in the evening! We were visiting during a really HOT weekend. Good drinks, friendly service. Small crowd, but the band was good. We had a great time talking to everyone nearby. Live music tends to make us more social and appreciative. This experience was AMAZING! I felt joy, happiness and hope during this performance. These ladies were truly amazing performers. They made me dance, laugh and feel confident. The food was SO GOOD. Not a good show, host was annoying and not funny. I get that it was the second show of the day and it was hot but they seriously didn't do anything except perform for 20-30 seconds and then walk around for the rest of their set asking for money and being rude if you didn't give them anything. Had a birthday brunch at Oscar's for the first time. Honestly DREW was very accommodating and responded very quickly to all my concerns and questions through email so I really appreciated that.
