Fantastic experience last night at Quan Huong restaurant and I even met the owner there too. Thursday night was not busy as Friday night but the food was simply delicious and impeccable tonight. I ordered the stewed catfish with fish sauce and the River snails and Bun Mam or stinky fish noodles soup. And pork belly stew with eggs for lunch tomorrow. Everything came out great and on time. With 3 male servers they got it under control and good atmosphere for a nice quiet evening. Coachella vibes on the TV and music playing a pretty cool place for dinner. Come and enjoy your favorite comfort food from South Vietnam mainly Saigon. I did not get sick because they have nice clean restroom and they have been in business for 10 years now. Enjoy and feel safe eating here unlike some other places in Garden Grove that are not so good and clean. See y'all real soon. Go Lakers!!

Stopped by on a Saturday evening, and while it was crowded, my party of 3 didn't have a wait time to be seated! We parked at the adjacent shopping center. The ambiance inside was lively and full of groups, mostly families. The menu had a large breadth of items, reasonably priced: special dishes, appetizers, vermicelli, egg noodles, rice cakes, rice lpates, hot pot, vegetables, soups. As the portion sizes were huge, we ordered the mi xao gion bo (stir fried egg noodles with beef) and com bo luc lac (rice with shaking beef). Both dishes were packed with flavor and easy to share. Overall solid choice for Vietnamese food, especially when sharing with family!

I was introduced to this place by my in laws and this is where you would get traditional Vietnamese food - not the pho or bun bo hue that you know, but rice and soups and dishes that aren't super well known. Walking into this place, you get greeted by a strong scent of something fermented which threw me off at first, but if you can get past the smell, you'll have a really great meal with very friendly service. There are random days that this place is super busy and other random days where it's super empty, but there's always at least a couple families in there having dinner. My favorites from this place is the canh chua, the caramelized catfish, bo luc lac, the garlic beef with vegetables, fish sauce chicken wings and the caramelized pork ribs and shrimp. Honestly, I think it's worth to bear the smell because you'll stop smelling it once the food comes out!

I would've never found this place if I hadn't explicitly searched for canh chua. This is one of those restaurants that put 0 effort in the looks (paper cups, strong fish sauce smell everywhere) because they know it's all about the food and the food speaks for itself lol. We got the canh chua with catfish and tom rim thit ba roi (caramelized shrimp and pork). Both were flavorful. The canh chua is sweet and sour from the tamarind and pineapples. The catfish is super tender. The caramelized shrimp and pork is salty, sweet, sour, slightly spicy and goes so well with rice. The sauce is similar to a tomato based sweet and sour sauce. The service was quick and easy. We were in and out in about 20 minutes.

Huong restaurant is Bustling option for classic Vietnamese dishes, with a seafood focus and tropical fruit drinks. I came here often when it just opened long time ago for seafood dishes especially bún mắm. Food: Most of the dishes we ordered were delicious and flavorful suitable for the taste of Asians in general and Vietnamese people in particular. My favorite dishe here is their bún mắm and canh chua + cá kho tộ . The food size is big with fair price. Ambiance : The place was clean and unique, featuring a cozy, dimly lit tropical ambiance, often bustling during dinner time. Service: it's depends the day. Sometimes the sever doesn't pay attention, some another day the staff are very nice and helpful. Parking: During rush hours space is limited !

Our group of 17 came here for lunch. I forgot my phone at home and didn't realize it until I was almost to the freeway so I had to turn around, and of course, I was really late and everyone was almost done eating by the time I got there. :( I ended eating whatever was ordered and available on the table since I didn't want to order a big plate and sitting there eating by myself. I had some of the lotus salad, rice noodles stir fried with seafood, chow mein stir fried with seafood, ong choy stir fried with escargots, snails cooked in coconut milk, and some of the hot and sour soup with catfish that was brought out last. Everything that I've got to taste was good. The scallops in the rice noodles and chow mein plates were very good, so were the vegetables that they used for those dishes. They were perfectly seasoned and not too salty. The sweet and sour soup was delicious as it was still piping hot when they brought it out. There were many other dishes on the table that I didn't try do I can't comment on them.

Ordered this catfish dish and came with white rice and took it back to work all my black friends were staring at me like I was the Asian catfish king never seen eyes so wide open Would definitely recommend this over a poboy sandwich but Catfish with waffles would be pretty bomb too!

We dined here with family. The place was clean and welcoming. The service was great, friendly. The foods overall were good. My favorite dish would be Canh Chua.

Wanted to get a Vietnamese homely style cooked meal and stumbled upon Quan Huong. Upon arrival, you'll be hit with a strong and pungent aroma of bun mam (Vietnamese Fermented Fish Noodle Soup). Apparently it's what they're known for and the smell is apparent throughout the restaurant. Braised Catfish (3/5) - The fish is braised with pork belly and sauteed onions. It's overly salty that I couldn't taste the fish well. The fish sauce is a little overdone in this dish. You'll have to order rice to balance out the saltiness. Fried fish with mango (3/5) - Crispy fried whole fish with mango. It's paired with a nuon cham (dipping fish sauce). Hot & sour hot pot with catfish and banana blossom (3.5/5) - Fresh meaty catfish in a hot & sour soup. Comes with banana blossom, celery, elephant ear stalk, rice paddy herbs, tomatoes, tamarind, and side of vermicelli noodles. The soup is a little on the salty side so you'll need to pair it with the noodles. Service was so-so with limited interaction besides bringing out the dishes; as expected in this type of restaurant. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the fermented fish smell throughout the meal. I recommend outside seating if you're sensitive to strong smells and want to try out this restaurant.

On Google Maps this is listed as "Hương Vietnamese Restaurant" which is confusing because this is listed differently on Yelp. Came here at dinner time and it was busy with lots of families but luckily was able to snag a parking spot. There was a lined forming after we got seated with lots of vietnamese people which is a good sign. They had lots of servers while their english wasn't good they can still get you what you want. They had vietnamese music videos on the tv screen which was fun to watch. Food was amazing, everything we had tasted so good, fresh and well made! Tried the mango snail salad which was green unripe mango sliced thinly with snails, fish sauce, and rice crackers. this is very light, easy to eat and refreshing more than anything. Catfish hot pot stew thing was good for 3 people with other side dishes. Lots of textures and the flavor was so tasty! Their prawn appetizer was fantastic, flavorful and almost tasted like lobster. Would definitely go back here.

They share a small parking lot with some other businesses. Can be tricky at times. I tried the banh xeo with lettuce wrap. It was tasty. It was a bit too oily with the bean sprouts for me, but not super bad. The fish sauce was good. Also tried the birds nest with seafood. There was a lock to it but it was delicious.

Massive parking lot so that was easy, one friend went ahead and let them know we had 10 incoming. They made room and we sat immediately. One of the spots that you scan a menu at the table and you review, order and pay all in the app. I was really not familiar with the line up and went with the "House Special Beef Pot Roodle" (Roodles are their rice noodles). It was a weekend only item and I tried that. The noodles came separate from the soup. Over all it was very tasty. The meat was a bit fatty and the soup had tendons too. I took that part home and my wife loved it. I tend to avoid the fatty meat and tendons are not good to me. 10 of us so some of the appetizers got passed around. The smashed cucumbers are excellent, and my buddy also got some friend potatoes of sorts, reminded me of a fat French fry. Because my buddy and I sat at the same table we scanned the same menu, he ordered a bunch of stuff and also House Special Beef Pot Roodle. That confused the kitchen and they asked me if I meant to order 2, I said no and didn't realize I cancelled my buddy's order. Part of the confusion of a large party and many scanned menu orders. My buddy was struggling to order and our initial waiter seemed to not understand my friend and that took a little bit to work out, young lady came from the back and was able to quickly resolve some of the confusion and get questions answered as needed. In the end he had lot of food to explore. One thing that caught my eye was several couples there and sharing a large soup item served with a tray of various food items for the soup. Kind of a date night visual and something that looked very interesting. Several couples around us had that same dish and its got me more curious. Might have to come back with my wife and try this one.

I ordered their most popular dish, the A1 set, but honestly, it didn't really live up to the hype for me. The broth tasted pretty underseasoned overall. From what I understood, you're supposed to mix all the toppings into the soup with the noodles, but even after doing that, I still felt like the flavor was lacking. Yes, they provide seasoning on the side, but personally, I wish the broth already had enough flavor on its own without needing to adjust it myself. Would I come back? Probably not. Nothing really stood out to me enough to return, and it felt more like a one-time experience. Overall, everything was just okay.

It's tucked away in a small plaza next to Starbucks a liquor store and a few other food spots. I arrived a little after 2pm and there were quite a few people in there. Still spacious for a party of 1 even though it was busy. What immediately stood out to me is that every noodle is hand pulled fresh after you place your order. No two noodles are exactly alike, and honestly, you can taste the care and freshness in every bite. I ordered the Mahi Beef Noodles, the Dry Mixed Dumplings, and the cucumber salad. Let me just say... every single dish had me saying, "Okay THIS is my favorite," and then the next dish would come along and change my mind again. The cucumber salad was refreshing and the crunchy cucumbers were covered in like a garlic sauce bath. Be careful because this is the kind of sauce that could stain your clothes. Lol I also ordered The Ma hu Beef Noodles and The Dry Mixed Dumplings. The Ma Hu beef noodles were delicious! The noodles were soft, tender, and the beef was incredibly tender as well. The Dry Mixed Dumplings were equally delicious. They come dry with the dipping sauce on the side, which I personally preferred because you can dip each dumpling exactly how you like. The pork and cabbage filling was flavorful and juicy too. I have to say, my favorite part of each dish was honestly the balance of flavor. The traditional spices and sauces were layered perfectly without being overly salty or overpowering. I chose the mild spice level, and it had just the right amount of heat while still allowing the flavors of the dish to shine. The sauce truly brought everything together. There's something special about how they've mastered simplicity here, the ingredients are not overly complicated, yet the sauces and seasonings create so much depth and flavor without overwhelming the dish. Everything feels intentional and balanced. I couldn't even finish all of my food because the portions were generous, so I happily took the rest to go. The staff was incredibly kind and even packed me extra sauce to take home, which honestly made my day because the sauce is THAT good. The restaurant itself is smaller, but don't let that stop you from going. The flavor completely makes up for the size of the space. The establishment was clean, service was fast, and even with a slight language barrier, I still felt welcomed and treated kindly. One thing I really appreciated was how attentive the staff was. The moment tables opened up, they were immediately cleaned and prepared for the next guests. The staff stayed on top of everything without missing a beat. Authentic, flavorful, fresh, and absolutely worth visiting.
