Ive always had some love for Hurricane Grill, i came to this to enjoy some wings and watch some playoff baseball and my food did not disappoint. I knew i have always enjoyed their boneless wings but I want to give the traditional a shot as well. Safe to say I still prefer the boneless from here. I would say you can tell the location has been there for a bit as it wasnt the most pleasing to the eye, but it was made up for with very good and very service who made sure to help with anything we needed in a timely manner. Came from out of town and when we saw there was a Hurricane we knew we needed to go. We used to live next to one when we were college and loved it then. We had the kettle chips with queso which were delish. We also had wings to share with 3 different sauces. We had garlic parm which wasn't very good. Kinda oily and not much flavor. We also had gold rush and bbq which were both great. The problem was only 1 flavor seemed super hot and fresh. The other flavors were kinda lukewarm and seemed to sit around for a while. Been here twice. Place is clean and staff are on top of things. Our server Amanda was excellent. We noticed another group came in and asked for her by name. Food was very good. No issues with quality. The only disappointment was that the street corn side as tiny and was a 4.99 upcharge. They used to use actual corn on the cobb but this is just mixed in a bowl. There was one table outside and two tables leaving from inside as we got there so it's safe to say we were the only people inside being serviced. Our waitress was not on her game. She forgot to get give our straws for the waters and coke. She never came back to check on us for a second round of beers. The condiments on the table were sticky (ew) but the real deal breaker was the temperature. It was warm when we sat down but we thought it would cool off soon. The slaw was just fine and tasted fresh. The fries were forgettable. They were hot but tasted old. I'd try another side next time and there were plenty to choose from. OMG the tenders! It did take a bit longer than expected to get our food, but they did have a good number of customers. The outdoor covered seating area is really nice for mild weather day. TVs with various sports programs all around. The appetizer chili nachos were huge; certainly a meal, not an appetizer. And it was loaded with good stuff.
