Ended up Taking 7 days. they came out on July 2. Never replaced the Expansion valve bc this guy said it's not the Expansion valve, you have a leak. Took 2 1/2 hours to find the leak. Said the inside coil was bad, leaking Freon. He sent order to shop to get coil, should be a stock item. They will call you. I called them they said we don't have the coil in stock it will be 7-10 days to get it. I said are you kidding me. The guy was an absolute jerk to me, never even apologized for the first techs misdiagnosis, wasting a week on a part we do-not even need! It's 101 today was 102 yesterday. I said to them this is ridiculous I am supposed to wait 7-10 days after I have already waited 7 days. You haven't even apologized. He said there's nothing I can say or do to make you happy. They just don't care Don't even act like they care! I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life! Today is July 11. no air since June 25. They were supposed to have the part July 9. Still no part, my husband asked to speak to a manage, we have still not received a call from a manager as promised.

We were told the part was in and it would be replaced the Friday or Saturday at the latest BEFORE the storm arrived. My mother/I called on Friday/Saturday before the storm and Sunday/Monday during/after the storm. We only get voicemail and no one has called us back. We have tried THREE different numbers which all end at the same voicemail. However, our neighbor three doors up, who also uses Engel received a call back and has an appointment on Tuesday. They are getting a full heater replacement while my mother is only having a component replaced in order to control her fluctuating temperature. Unfortunately, without the new board, her utility bill has doubled! The lack of response and the unrealized and undelivered expectations for an elderly person who is trying to survive the winter with temperatures in the teens is unacceptable! Shame on Engel for the poor attention and customer service to a 93 year old woman's simple needs. Note: Engel managed her to this timeline, not the other way around.

A couple days later and it backed up yet again. Called back to snake it yet again. This time they talked to me, came inside and flushed the toilet and ran water. They let me know they were done and leaving. They left my gate open and my dogs almost got loose. They also left whatever sewage material they pulled out on the ground around the clean out leaving me to clean it up so my dogs don't eat it and it doesn't smell the neighbors out.

We had a technician come out twice unable to figure out what the problem was. We spent TWO FULL WEEKS calling daily to ask to speak with a manager or someone in charge (our goal was to figure out how to troubleshoot the problem since the current technician couldn't figure it out), and not once did we receive a callback. At various points, the operators we spoke to expressed their sympathies and disbelief, that no one was calling us back, and repeatedly marked our callback requests as 'urgent.' After 2 weeks and no response, we had to call another company, who were able to diagnose the issue and fix it within 30 mintues (turns out Comfort Controllers incorrectly installed the unit in the first place). Luckily I was able to find someone to fix it, because Comfort Controllers still hasn't called me back over 3 weeks later; as far as they know we're still sitting in the cold, but it's clear they couldn't care less. Could not recommend this company less if you value communication, accountability, or work done properly.
