The food here was absolutely amazing it felt like I was in their home kitchen. You could tell they cook everything with authenticity. The butter chicken is perhaps the best I have ever had. The tandoori chicken was juicing and the Samosas were light and airy truly one of the best food experiences I have had in a long time All the sauces were made from scratch and you could tell the freshness. We came in from San Diego for a work trip and told them we would drive in just to come in and eat there again. The owners, were working behind the counter and that means the service was next level. Interesting sense of customer service. I ordered a mild Chicken 65 Biryani late last night but they gave me a medium Goat Biryani and I only found out once I got home. The goat was too gamey for my taste and it was way too spicy. I ended up just not eating it altogether. They were closed before I even got home, so I decided I'd call the next day. Today I ordered from here again and told them what happened as I phoned in the order. All they said was that they were very sorry and to call them next time I have a problem with my order. I explained that I couldn't call because they were closed and they said, "Ok, next time please let us know". I said "I'm letting you know now". They just said that they're sorry and it won't happen again and yet again, they told me to call them if it happens again. At this point I was pretty done with this conversation so I placed my order and hung up. When I got to the restaurant I spoke to a different employee and had basically the same conversation. I don't mind getting a wrong order every now and then but when it's something I paid for and I can't eat it, I think it's fair to expect some compensation? Instead, I was blamed for "not letting them know" and was literally made to eat my losses. Food is good tho. read more

He got his dish medium and I got my mild We also got an appatizer His meal came out at least 10 mins before mine, very wierd, then the guy who ordered after us meal came out, and then app came out with mine. Wtf? I take one bite and my mouth is on fire! I get up to tell the girl that it's too hot and guy standing there (manager I think) walks in the back and all she says is that's the way it is and hands me some yougert. Again WTF? My husbands dish ended up being less spicy then mine so I ate a little of his and some bread and that was it. No one there wanted to make it right and didn't even say goodbye to us like they did to the guy who was after us when he left one minute before us. Never again read more

My daughter wanted some Indian food so we came by here to try it out. I got the chana masala Dosa and lamb biryani. The biryani I ordered medium spice but it had some heat. Not enough to stop me from eating it though. With a little raita, it was pretty tasty. I always hate biting into one of those cloves though; I wish there was a way to put those in a cheesecloth and cook it but I know it wouldn't be the same. The dosa came with a peanut sauce and another sauce, both were pretty interesting. At first it had a flavor I wasn't fond of but it grew on me as I started to put it on the crispier parts of the dosa. My daughter had the chicken Tikka masala and naan. She enjoyed it. I tried some of the sauce and it wasn't too bad, but I would say I've had better tikka masala at other places. The naan was a little more chewy and flat than I'm used to. Definitely no Mantra ambience; it was order-at-the-counter food with styrofoam cups, self serve water, and self serve utensils/plates. The lady at the counter wasn't the friendliest but our interaction wasn't negative and besides I care more about the food. Overall, the ambience was a little ghetto and if a little more effort was put into it (like actual plates and silverware for dining in), I'd say this could be a regular dine-in spot for us since it is so close to home. But for now I might come here for a few to-go items. I think their food is definitely different from Mantra's and each have their tastier items. If you want to try some spicier, southern Indian foods, I think this place has the menu for it. read more

When coming here I was upset that the Masala Craft was no longer there, but I was willing to try this new Indian food restaurant in its place. Upon walking in we were greeted and given a menu. They asked us what we enjoy, and gave wonderful suggestions and seemed interested in what WE like, not just giving us the most popular. We ordered Samosas (a staple for us), Karvepaku Chicken (easily one of the best things I've ever eaten), goat biryani, and chicken biryani. All of these things were absolutely to die for, and the 2 mango lassis and a drink I'd never heard of before finalized its place on my wheel of monthly restaurants. Food is fine, hard not to compare to the previous restaurant. I think this review is more based on the comparison. Smaller portions than previous, not as much flavor, a few of our favorite dishes are gone as it's a new menu. Prices are similar, portions smaller. Naan not as good. The positives, a bit of a refresh on the inside, younger owners who are working hard on their business, good energy in there. The Chicken Tikka Masala is creamy and perfectly spiced. Good luck stopping at one garlic naan (trust me, you'll want more). Just left this new and improved Indian joint. Used to be Indian Masala Grill, but they changed the "staff and kitchen" according to the signs on the tables. I almost started a review as I was eating because I was so eager to let people know how awesome this place is. Appears to be family owned, and the owners/employees we interacted with were so pleasant. They also have some new really cool India-themed artwork on the walls. And the FOOD oh my god the food. So flavorful. And for once the spice actually matched my palette; I like my food spicy. But they were able to make other items without any spice for my sister and her kids. I had the butter paneer masala, chicken Tikka, saag paneer, garlic naan, and samosas. Everything was excellent-- packed with so much flavor. The sauces were smooth and buttery and had the flavor depth that Indian food should always have. I was impressed not only with the food but with the whole experience.
