I was dreading to go back there after reading all the recent reviews on yelp and sure enough, every salesperson in there seems shifty-eyed and shady at best. I was wanting to trade in my 2007 Tacoma for a 2017. I initially contacted one of their online sales person after searching their website for a truck and she made an appointment with me for the next day. To my bewilderment, when I arrived and asked for her she wasn't there (it was her day off). Her associate, who was in the dark about the appointment, came out of his office but couldn't help me because he was busy with someone else. This is where I got very, very lucky. He handed me off to probably the only genuine person there, Dan, a salesperson. The buying process, though protracted due to them having to locate a truck for me, went well. Went there looking to buy a truck. Salesman was pushy, abrasive, interrupting all the time and pushing for a check for the full amount before the conditions of the sale had been met. Salesman almost got into a fistfight with our mechanic at the inspection. Ended up going to the manager the next day and got a refund on our deposit. Manager was better than the salesman, but still not real impressed. Might go see what they have to offer but magic 8ball says signs point to no. read more

I've thought about addressing my experience with i-5 over the past couple of weeks and was just going to let it fade away, but this email you have allowed to be sent to me has provoked a response. To be completely honest, my experience with i-5 Cars left me with a horrible taste in my mouth. It truly was one of the worst sales experiences I've had. The initial visit seemed to be going okay as I was being taken care of by one of your associates. He seemed knowledgeable and friendly at first. I had asked when I was going to meet you and was ensured by that salesperson that I'd be meeting with you soon...as it was you whom I had emailed in the first place about coming to see the cars you had to offer. I waited over an hour with this particular salesperson under constant reassurance that you'd be out to meet me. This never happened. I figured I would give you the benefit of the doubt and just assumed you were too busy during that particular day and brushed it off. When I returned a few days later with my partner, to test drive a vehicle of interest, I was again assured that I'd finally be able to meet and talk with you directly (which, of course, never happened). In fact, the salesperson didn't even have the courtesy to introduce himself to my partner while I ran to the restroom before test driving the car that I was interested in purchasing. This salesperson simply asked him for his i.d. When I returned and asked if they had formally met, the dealer simply said 'no'. I then introduced the two of them, but felt completely offended and embarrassed that this man hadn't the simple decency to introduce himself before asking my partner for the required identification to test drive a car. Is this how things normally operate at i-5 Cars? Bottom line before common courtesy/decency? Our discussion of the car I had test driven with my partner, one I had real interest in buying, quickly spiraled downwards as I began to point out some of the falsities being told to me by the salesperson. I could tell he was getting frustrated. I was no longer interested in that particular car, but tried to remain positive. I told the salesperson that I would be passing on that car, but that I'd be interested in seeing other cars in the future should some become available. We then left i-5 cars. I never heard from him again, nor did I hear from i-5 Cars until this auto-generated email from you. So, in response to this email your computer system has sent...I am truly disheartened by my experience with i-5 Cars. I had a less that stellar experience trying to use these guys for a simple key cutting/programming for a Ford Focus. I had a long wait at the parts desk, even though there appeared to be tons of staff back there. Once engaged, the service help was pleasant, though for some reason they couldn't make a working key. (Ace Hardware could the next day.) They called me back and apologized for my experience. I appreciate that, so I expect to give them another chance in the future. read more

Only reason I'm giving this dealership a 1 is because there is nothing lower. Make sure you get everything you want before you hand over your money or they will treat you like the plague when you come back. I'm convinced their strategy is to jerk you around so much that you'll give up in frustration. Went to I-5 Toyota getting promised by Rick it would be a fast process it took 6 hours to be with our new car. Then we found out that the car only had one key! Which I strictly explained I needed another key this one was a old key 1990's for a newer car and they just kept going around my question. I need a key fob my old car had one NOW every time I open my door my alarm goes off which it extremely annoying!!! I work mornings and don't need all my neighbors waking up. I have called twice I spoke to someone who said they would get back to me then got told my car most likely doesn't come equipped with one it's a 2014. I'm honestly very frustrated that I just spent the money for a new vehicle and now have to spend to get a keys. So like Rick said get everything in writing! Spoke to sales manager today and he said the keys weren't part of the contract. Horrible customer service!Runn from this place my engine light was on and is still on since I purchased the car now I have spend 200+ to get it fixed! And I've only had the car for 3 weeks!! I hate this place! Ugh!!! Now it's October my car is collecting a bunch of water on the inside!!! I have now put my car again in the shop!! it's only had the car 6 months thinking about trading for something else already. Well all I have to say is be careful with this dealership. Get everything in writing. I was promised a full tank of gas when I bought my check and later told they couldn't afford to give me one. The second issue and the most important, I was told there was a second set of keys for my truck. The night I bought my truck they said the second set was locked up so to come back the next day. I came back the next day and was told they couldn't find it so it must be at the dealership the truck came from and that once my loan was processed the keys would be mailed to me. After waiting a month....no keys. I contacted the other dealership Volkswagen of Olympia and continued to get the run around. Now I'm going to have to pay out of pocket for something that was told to me to be with the truck. So my advice get it in writing with these guys they obviously have no integrity and as a soldier in the US Army I'd recommend to my fellow soldiers do not give them any of our business. read more

Horrible customer service. They falsely advertised an suv and I drove 45 mins to go look at it. Asked in advance if the previous owner had smoked in the vehicle the guy said no. Smelled horrible inside like mildew. It's almost like they attempted to take the smoke out with an Ozonator and then shampooed and what not and didn't let it dry out properly. Plus there were fricken burn holes on both of the front seats. They also forgot to mention on their ad that the drivers side of the car was wiped out even though they claimed their were no reported accidents. The power buttons on the drivers door were falling through and the back door was dented and rusting. Completely unprofessional and inconsiderate to make us drive all the way out there when we asked the qualifying questions beforehand so we didn't waste our time. Unfortunately they have to lie to customers, I won't ever go back and I will tell everyone I know to stay far away. read more

Bought a 2003 Chevy Tahoe, sales manager was the rudest person ever. The salesman turned the radio off everytime I got in the car. Supposed to have car ready in 6 days, two weeks later...it still wasn't ready, not detailed. I finally told them it better be ready. I picked it up and I have now had said vehicle a little over a year, the reason the salesman turned the radio off is because the car has extensive electrical issues. The radio has a high pitched whirring that randomly shows up and goes away.....hence the reason for turning it off the 3 times I drove the car. All of the electronics work randomly, come off and on. The radio, the interior lights, the back window wiper. The dash warning, says my rear access is open, when it isnt. Don't walk, run from these lying deceivers. read more

I would give this zero stars if I could. I purchased a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee from one of their dealerships two years ago. Now one of the cylinder heads is misfiring, which is a factory defect, and supposed to be covered under the manufacturer's extended warranty. When I called to get an appointment to have it repaired, I was told that my Jeep originated in Canada, which voids the manufacturer's warranty. This was NOT explained when I purchased the vehicle, and now I have to pay for the repairs out of pocket, even though it should be covered. When I called the dealer, both the service department and sales manager stated "sorry, there's nothing I can do for you". I will take my business to ANY other dealer than any in the I-5 group. read more

Fantastic people, great experience, and how often can you say that about buying a used car? We had been looking to get a used car after a wreck and saw online they had a couple of used Priuses at a really good deal (still have yet to find a similar car within $1,500). Before driving the 2.5 hours down to check them out we called ahead to make sure the cars were there and ask some questions about them. Gerry answered the phone, and after answering some questions, physically walked out to the cars to look at them so he could call us back with more detail. He was very thorough, even mentioning a tiny green mark on one of the back seats which we otherwise probably wouldn't have noticed for quite awhile. I was very impressed with the amount of time he gave to an inquiring phone call. We decided to make the drive, but by the time we arrived Gerry had gone home and it was near closing time. Craig helped us out and took us to test-drive the vehicles, assuring us not to worry about the time and that they were all used to it whenever we started to apologize. I was geared-up to play used-car games, like we'd run into at other lots and was careful to not say too much positive about the car in front of him. I even threw some things out there, expecting a hard sell but hoping for some useful info, too. Comments like, "We're not sure if it's worth paying $x,xxx more for the nearly identical car with fewer miles," or "One reason we're uncomfortable offering tonight is that we can't get the car to a mechanic" were met by the response, "That's a good point, and it's really up to you to decide what you're comfortable with." If we then asked questions more specifically about the cars they were cheerfully answered; he wasn't avoiding us, he just wasn't pushing unless info was requested. Even comments I would make to my husband like, "Oh, odd, the visibility out the back is strange," were met with silence on his part, no jumping in to sell, and after I'd said it again (it kept surprising me a bit) he said, "Well, most people get used to it before too long, but we do get some people who bring them back because they can't get used to this or some of the other differences with a Prius like x or y." Not only was he not up-talking the car, he was pointing out other things we might not have noticed that we might find negative. The lack of hard-selling and the honesty was so refreshing. Additionally, when we asked, he'd happily give us time alone to talk. No pressure of his presence always looming. We ended up buying the car (at a more than fair price) and several people stayed late with no complaint so we could get it finished up. I know this is standard at car lots, but the cheery attitude and stopping by to say, "Thanks!" and "Congratulations!" and "Have a great night!" on the way out is not. What may have shocked me the most was when Craig asked to confirm (several hours after we'd mentioned it briefly when we first walked in) that we had talked on the phone with Gerry earlier. He asked because he split the commission with Gerry, even though he was the one to stay late with us, take us out, do the negotiating, etc. Considering that at another lot I was told the person I worked with previously was gone when he was sitting right inside, I was amazed that he remembered and brought it up in order to share his payoff. He saw my shocked look and smiled and said, "We're all real close here." The next day we had the car home and noticed a front headlight had burned out sometime on the way home (it was working on the lot). We called them and they replaced it for free for us, even though they had no obligation to do so since the sale was over. Truly above and beyond. These are either some of the nicest, most honest and genuine car salesmen out there, or a crew of the most skillful liars in the world all assembled together to fake it perfectly (I'm guessing it's not the latter). Start to finish, the whole experienced was very relaxed and friendly, the complete opposite of anything I've experienced at any other car lot! And to top it all off, we got a great deal! I cannot recommend this place enough, completely worth the drive! read more

Our sales rep. Gerry and the internet sales manager Lisa were STELLER and very helpful. I found the vehicle over the internet and called in to see if it was still available. Keep in mind that I didn't actually know exactly where Chehalis was. lol Lisa answered, told me about the car and I told her what I was looking for in terms of pricing. She had a talk with her manager and they quoted a good price even before I arrived. She actually went out to the car, sat in it and smelled it per air filters and such upon my request (I wouldn't have been happy to drive there and it smelled of smoke or pets). She started the whole process and was the convincing factor on why I drove as far as I did. I took a risk driving that far (2 hours) but they were the sweetest and very accommodating. Also, the manager that haggled prices with me, totally Awesome. It was a good experience and I got the car I wanted at the price I needed. I freaking love Toyota! read more

I have brought two vehicles from I 5. My F150 truck was from their sister company for lifted trucks and the other was my sons first car. When we test drove the car we noticed a pause while it was shifting. The sales man told me it was a normal thing with the V tec engines. I am a nurse so i thought he would know more than i would so we went ahead and bought it. After a month the engine light went on. There was no oil left. We started looking into possible issues. One of the spark plug lines where worn through and needed to be replaced. We continued to lose oil. The pause we first noticed during the test drive became worse. At 3.5 months after trying to fix things with the help of my dad and my brother who is a mechanic but lives in WI, the car would no longer go into 2nd gear. We took it in to be looked at. They told me that the transmission had failed and the oil leaking was caused by worn out seals. I paid 5000 for the car and now i need to put in another 4500 just to get it back to being able to use it. I called I5 explained the situation and the guy said in a snide voice, "I am sorry about your situation but we tried to sell you the transmission insurance when you bought the car. I understand what the dealer told you but if thought there was something wrong you should have had a mechanic look at it before you bought it. What exactly do you want us to do about this?" Really! I want you to stand be hind your product. It is difficult enough being a single parent trying to just by a nice used car to get my son back and forth to high school. I thought i was safe with a 5000 dollar car from what i thought was a reputable dealer. Now my truck i bought. I noticed a slipping while on wet payment. The dealership sent me to I5. They said they could not find anything wrong and could not reproduce the issue. Now when the heat hit i noticed the problem was a lot worse. Took to a transmission shop. The oil in the diferential is black which apparently the seal from the transmission to the 4x4 component is bad over 700 to repair as long as they dont find anything else wrong. So two cars totalling over 30,000 bought from I5 and no backing from them. Buyer beware horrible expierence i will never go back! And warn others to stay way as well. read more

fell for the bait and switch,picked out running boards on the pickup we bought ,when we picked it up it had a cheaper set on . I informed him they were the wrong ones. He told me the ones we picked wouldn't fit, so with out contacting us they just put a smaller 4" style on.Oh just take it home and see if you like them and he'll talk to the shop about putting something else on. Took it home the next day called him back and said we wern't happy with them..then i was told since we took it home they can't take them back. wow nice one richard and cris I guess saving a few hundred $. is worth looseing customers over. Second time in a row we got approved for a car but when we came back to the dealership they sold the vehicle that we had an application on. This is such bad business so unless you can sit at the dealership the whole time while everything is being done down to the point where you get the keys I would shop else where!!!! read more

My R.V had a very straight forward simple electrical issue. It took I-5 Toyota 5 weeks to fix it and they charged me three times as much as the Toyota dealer, Dick Hannah quoted. This is way worse than highway robbery. But wait there's more.... So I paid $1240 for a $400 repair , walked outside to drive away in my little vintage motorhome and I could hardly believe my eyes ! The driver's side was separated from the rear of the motorhome in a big way. It is so damaged one's hand can fit through the broke open walls of our RV. The worst part is they left it out in the rain for 5 weeks. Just imagine the damage. Our R.V was just fine on the exterior and after taking it to I-5 it's destroyed. No one has owned up to this nor tried to make it right ! This episode has cast a dark shadow on I-5. If the dealer 'makes it right' I will post that here as well, If not my dignified friends want to carry signs or 'sport' sandwich boards during peak potential sales periods to alert the public. Personally I'm hopeful the dealer will right this wrong read more

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with I-5 Toyota when we were there September 12, 2016. We had used this dealer for regular service of our 2008 Toyota Prius for several years and had been very satisfied. We needed to replace the Prius and our intention was to just look at the new models because we really weren't ready to trade just yet. Sales consultant George Quantz was so helpful, friendly, and attentive to our needs that we ended up buying a new Prius. George spent numerous hours with us and stayed in the dealership till late that night to take care of all our questions and needs (even shared some of his snacks with us to tide us over after missing dinner)! We were very satisfied with all of the staff and especially George who is so warm and personable! We feel we received a very good deal on our trade-in and got an excellent purchase price for the new car. We would highly recommend George and this dealer to our friends and family!
