We ordered a bacon and egg combo (substituted turkey bacon) with pancakes, and a scrabbled egg, sausage, and bacon combo with pancakes. We had a.l family brunch and we loved it. The place wasn't that crowded which is rare for brunch places. The food was pretty good and priced well. I recommend the skillets or the omelettes, but everything on the menu was pretty good. The staff was super attentive and nice. I ordered a breakfast crossaint with egg, cheese and bacon last week and when I got home I noticed there was no bacon on the crossaint. I called the restaurant and told the worker that it was missing. She offered for me to come back and get the bacon that was supposed to be on there or offered for me to get a free croissant sandwich for my next order. I opted to get the free breakfast croissant with egg, cheese and bacon because I did not want to drive back. She assured me that she would right this in the notes so other employees would honor the free sandwich. Today I called and ordered the sandwich. I explained the precious situation and advised that I wanted to get the free sandwich. The guy taking my order said ok and told me it would take 10 minutes for the order to be ready. I went to pick it up and the guy says that he has my sandwich ready with double bacon. I told him it wasnt mine because thats not what I ordered. I again told him the situation and he says "that's not how it works". I reiterated that's what his employee promised me. He then says "call her then". I said "I don't have her number". Why on earth would I have your coworkers personal # to call her? He repeats that what his colleague told me is not how it works. If that's the case she should not have told me that and even if it's not how it works you as the establishment need to honor what the worker promised. Especially since I explained the situation over the phone and he agreed but then when I got there to pick it up he switches to it only being getting extra bacon. Multiple things wrong with these interactions. He was rude and a person gets one chance to be rude and unprofessional and I'm done. read more

It's so absurd you can't help but smile, and honestly, it's a breakfast place: who cares what it looks like! Anyways, we got the menus and the food selection was vast, something I am a fan of. It takes me to those greasy spoon diners on the east coast, but I was snapped back to reality when I saw the price. I'm not judging, and I can understand why the prices are the way they are ( we are in Irvine after all!), but unfortunately, when you are just a couple blocks away from a university, you will have broke college students trying your place out. That's just a fact, and I wish they would've made a student combo or something of that nature. Food was decent, and I quite liked the Americano I had. Staff were lovely and courteous; really made my whole experience better. Unfortunately, price and portion size are pretty high on my list of priorities, and this place didn't do great on either.
