I really don't like giving bad reviews, but have to let the community know. Coming in you'll see a stocked beverage fridge to the right. So organization is there. It's pretty clean. Smelled of like any other spot. I didn't order anything. I found it weird while looking over the menu, that the worker there, the cashier (didn't get a name), took a photo of a receipt from the customer before us. As we stood there watching, he got startled. Because of that, I didn't order anything. My friend still ordered something. It was super odd and something just felt off. I have another friend who lives nearby and thought I'd give this place a go bc the friend I came here with recommended it. But nope not coming back due to that suspicious activity. Fraud is real and I have been a victim before. Sooo not a trusting place like this. Pay cash if you can is my honest opinions My friend ordered their bagel with eggs cheese and sausage. And a small coffee. She was worried about that cashier taking a photo of her receipt. I decided not to order from there. I'd rather go elsewhere. The fact that she said she's going to check her activity later to be sure nothing is taken from her account and take her information is a red flag for a spot like this. read more

Today I witnessed an older male employee with an accent berate an elderly lady that asked for water and did not know how to work the fountain machine to get water with her bagel and accidentally got maybe 2 tablespoons of soft drink in her cup. He was extremely rude and condescending to her and her friend. She kept apologizing saying she was trying to get water, but did not know how to work the machine and he was loudly berating her in front of everyone demanding payment. Complete POS! read more

A nice spot to get a bagel sandwich. They have so many different types of bagels even an egg one! I ordered the multi grain bagel sandwich with turkey ham, cheese and egg. It does get super busy and the line goes out the door. A little bit of seating inside, and the staff call out your order by name. read more

I come here about once a week for bakers dozen and cream cheese and they always satisfy my bagel cravings. Each bagel is handmade and they are all fluffy and soft. I haven't tried all of them but so far my favorites have been jalapeño, combo, blueberry and jalapeño cream cheese. They also have a nice selection of coffee. Every now and then I will majorly crave for a good ole breakfast sandwhich. I love bagels truly has one of the best in town! I feel like its affordable, bagels are fresh and good, and the sandwhich itself is just perfection, i dont know how they do it! My go to is the egg cheese with bacon. If i'm feeling adventurous i'll add some sausage in it. My work sometimes caters bagels from them and all their donuts are so soft in themiddle with a crunchy exterior. Bagels are alright. Main complaint, one of the employees kept harassing me about a water cup making sure I was actually putting water into it. Wouldn't recommend the "bacon" egg and cheese. Bagel itself was decent but the egg wasn't fresh (fine), the cheese was the filmy processed kind (meh), and the bacon looked like lesser quality than the microwave stuff you get at the store (ugh). Came here on a Sunday morning at around 8ish. Line was not long and there's plenty spot for parking. I got the egg bagel with sausage, egg, and cheese-- I was honestly very surprised on how fluffy the bagels were and it tasted amazing. My boyfriend also got the salt bagel, which a lot of places do not offer, and a bagel with just cream cheese. Service was below average. Food was okay at best. Tasted like frozen ingredients thrown together on an average bagel. I am truly disappointed I spent my money on something so disappointing. Cheddar bagels are my favorite, theirs are just a pain bagel labeled as cheddar. Ambiance was fine, all men working with terrible customer service. Let tell you... I've been eating ILY bagels for years, never disappointed! But when I go somewhere else, I end up pay $5-$10 more for a dozen ( here they give you the baker's dozen-13 for the price of 12).. and the cream cheese tubs are BIG unlike say Bruggers or Bagel Shack where they are half the size for the same price as a BIG tub. So The quality of these bagels are consistent as in one isn't smaller than another. The service is quick, 2-3 employees making specialty bagels and the turn around is 2-3 mins, where's other places can take up to 10 mins for them.. So I've always make it a point to come here! It's been a while, but I have come here for breakfast bagels and to buy dozens of bagels to take to my office and clients many times in the past. So, when my wife asked me to bring home sandwiches for lunch today I thought I'd try them as their breakfast bagels were always decent. A bit overpriced but good flavor and always pretty fresh. When I walked in one of the employees was cleaning something off to the side of the counter and never turned around to acknowledge me. I said hello and got no reply. After a little bit another employee came out of the back and asked how he could help me. I said hello and then asked if they offered sandwiches on any type of bread other than bagels. In a rude manner he replied: "No, our name is l love bagels for a reason" I was caught off guard by his response and negative attitude. I gave him a second to to walk his response back but he just looked at me. I replied "I'm aware of what the name is" and gave him another opportunity to respond in a more positive manner and again he just looked at me. At this point I was over it and told him "to be honest I don't need the attitude or your bagels" and left. When I walked in I was planning to order some sandwiches even if they did only make them on bagels, but after being treated so badly I have no desire to go there again. For bagels or anything else. Hopefully this was a one time deal and the awful customer service was because the gentleman was just having a bad day. I was charged for the wrong order! I got two bagels. My total was four dollars and they charged my card $9.36... When I called them to point out what it happened they said I would have to come back for the refund. This is the real deal. Boiled and baked right on the Premises. Excellent authentic East Coast bagels. Huge selection. My favorito is the spinach parmesan. Schmears are home made. You get a bang for youtr buck. No need to drive to LA to get a decent bagel. We've got em right here. How have I not reviewed this place yet? Ah! I've been coming to I Love Bagels since 2011 -- I was introduced to the establishment by my parents, who used to live up the street. What sets them apart from any other bagel shop is that they have bagel dogs! (All beef hot dogs wrapped with a plain bagel.) Bagel dogs used to be huge when I lived in Texas as a kid -- I haven't found any other place that has them on the west coast. They are SO GOOD! If you want a bagel dog, I suggest to arrive early. Once they are out, they are out. In addition to the bagel dogs, the regular bagels (any type you want!) are really good, too. Definitely one of the better bagels I've had in OC! I also bought a dozen to go, and I cleaned them out of a few different flavors. So selection was sparse at the end of their day. I ordered an egg, bacon and cheese bagel here (which was still available at 12:30). Immediately, the friendly guy at the counter was helpful. He offered other cheeses just based on my facial expression pondering American cheese. He joked around and didn't make a face when I switched my order at the last second. Delicious sandwich! The bacon wasn't weird, the egg wasn't all over the place like at some small bagel places. A nice, neat sandwich. My favorite bagel place of all time! I rate my bagel places based on consistency, cream cheese, lox, bagel, and extra bonus points for small town shop taste and customer service. This place hits the highest marks on all of that, and I've gone to many bagel places. My go-to order is a jalapeño cheese bagel with veggie cream cheese and lox. Best bagels in the OC hands down! The chive cream cheese and onion bagel is my favorite.

I've been coming here for many years. Love their combo bagels and lox spread. Unfortunately, their pricing makes this a really difficult place to continue to keep in the budget during these difficult times. I purchased my toasted combo bagel and spread with a small orange juice and it came to $10.17. I don't understand why this would be the price for a bagel, cream cheese, and a small OJ when just a couple years ago it was like $6-$7. They're pricing themselves out of the market unfortunately. The team there is always nice and polite but the pricing makes this much less appealing and possible to buy. read more

This is probably the only bagel shop in South County that has friendly employees, that I have found. The bagels are good, the service is quick, and everything I have ever had is fresh. Also, as a bonus for me, that I know none of you will ever need, but they have decaf, and a flavored decaf coffee, which I love. There are a few tables inside, and a few more outside and parking is generally easy as there is a CVS in the lot that isnt really ever that crowded. I have only been early in the morning though. For me, getting out of this center is tricky - because for the way I need to go, its a task to get out...but its not a huge deal. read more
