My friend and I came here for the first time during our lunch break. The first thing we noticed was that there was a line of customers and the restaurant was packed (which must have meant the food was great). We stood in line for about 10-15 minutes and was then seated to our tables. The service was quick and pleasant. Our waiter was extremely patient with us, since there were so many choices to choose from the menu. I saw other customers order a small/regular bowl of pho, but my friend ordered a size large-xlarge and I ordered shrimp spring rolls and combination fried rice. I would say that a small/regular bowl of pho would have been enough, my friend happened to get full quickly. Same for me, my first thought about my plate of combination fried rice was not enough, but I got full halfway through my meal. The spring rolls were not the best, but I have no complaints about it. The fried rice was flavorful and moist, but the chicken and beef were a bit dry. I placed the meat aside and just finished the rice instead. Overall, the restaurant is nice and spacious with fast service, and the staff and patient and friendly. Would I come back? Not voluntarily. I wouldn't choose this restaurant as my all time favorite or come here regularly. If a friend of mine wants to come eat here, I wouldn't argue against it. read more

My friend and I came here for early dinner. It wasn't busy when we arrived here, but people kept coming in while we were here. It's very spacious and fairly clean. I ordered beef filet mignon pho, and my friend ordered shrimp pho. Our food came very quickly. The soup was savory, and the meat was very tender. The Pho is fairly consistant in flavor and content. That is the only reason I've accepted the many other short comings. Last week I noticed that they had new chop sticks but didn't think much of it until check-out. The price was 20% more than before. I'm sorry I Love Pho but this increase is not warranted. Tough pork and dull knives This was my second time trying this place in the span of a year. The first time I had classic beef Pho which was not bad, not great. Service was abysmal though so I didn't come back. Really inattentive staff. Second time I ordered the grilled pork with broken rice, which is one of my favorite dishes, which I've had many times from Vietnamese street vendors. This time, the broken rice was incredibly dry, the pork was tough and overcooked, and perhaps worst of all the table knife was so dull I ended up just picking up the pork with my fingers to take bites in between bits of rice! The nuoc cham which should be the staple of any Vietnamese restaurant, was so bland. Where were the floating bits of ginger, garlic, green onions, and carrots? This stuff looked like it came out of a bottle and was almost colorless. What the...? This is the BASICS. Service is awful every time. Getting seated felt like I was inconveniencing them. Waiter never checked on my food or refilled my drink, and completely forgot to bring my Thai tea. Do yourself a favor and go to Pho Legacy or Pho Empire on Belt Line instead. read more

Great portion sizes. I must admit. I haven't had the opportunity to experience a lot of different Vietnamese places, but of the ones I've been to this place is pretty decent. The service is always fast the restaurant is always clean. I'm sometimes concerned about the lack of people inside but, maybe I'm just lucky enough to miss the crowds. A Vietnamese manicurist recommended this place so I think I should try. I came in during lunch hour and it was crowd. I see Vietnamese people eat there too so I think the food here should be authentic enough. I ordered a medium size pho. The broth taste okay to me, nothing really wows me. Their medium portion is other pho place's small version but their price is slightly higher than other pho places. So I won't drive all the way to here to eat. So I've been to many restaurants that serve it and I feel as though I can weigh in on good and bad even though I'm not of the heritage. This was not good. I feel as though their clientele is very mainstream so they let go of a lot of the traditional flavors and quality for the sake of making money. The meat was very fatty which is a new thing for me and almost non-existent in an extra large bowl. The spring rolls were great, had plenty of grilled pork in them. For lunch yesterday, ordered the Korean beef short ribs and spring rolls. The spring rolls always taste very fresh and refreshing. The peanut sauce is very good as other diners have mentioned. The ribs were not too bad. It was marinated and grilled. Marinade not too salty, but sweeter. May have been almost burnt, meat was still very raw near the bone but really seared on the outside where the sugars were completely caramelized. I know I like my steaks medium, but the meat was purple. Raw. Was also served with a small bowl of broth. Still the same not so tasty broth. Very salty. Tasted like a can of chicken broth but with alot of salt. I stopped eating that with my meal even though I needed skbethjng soupy to accompany the dry rice. Rice was a bit drier than normal. As service go, never received bad service. Straying from a favorite not always a good idea. Think I'll stick with my favorite (bò lúc lc) again for a long while. read more

I LOVE the filet mignon pho, it's HUGE and soooooo delicious. I know, it can be pretty pricey at times for a bowl of soup, but it's totally worth it! This is a great thing to have especially when you have a cold, it will keep you warm inside and clear your sinuses (if you add some hot sauce hehehe...). I wish instead of my mom always telling me to eat chicken soup when I'm sick that she would have brought me some filet mignon pho instead ^_^ I changed my rating recently because I eat here now EVERY week. The pho is the BEST I've EVER had, but the pork sandwich is to die for too. I have been here several times and go back when I can. The food is cheap, fresh and fast. Order by numbers to make sure you get the right food. I always stick with Goi Cuon, Pho, and Bun and you will not be disappointed. I always order one of their Fresh Lemonades --- it's to die for. Did not care for the Grilled Chicken Sandwich or the Salty Lemonade. They were not what I was expecting They do not have a liquor license but have allowed us to bring in beer and wine. This Pho restaurant is okay. I ordered the Com bo luc lac. The quality of the meat is honestly, not so great. Usually, this dish comes with a chicken broth soup I really enjoy. It also usually comes with a dark soy sauce to dip the meat in. Not the case here. The sauce they cooked the meat in was good though. Friendly staff members. This is my favorite place to get pho!!! My usual orders are P11 and egg rolls. Definitely one of my favorite pho places.

*sigh* I can't believe I have to give one of my USED to be favorite places a 2 star rating, I don't know if management has changed recently or what, but something has definitely changed about this place, I have been going for YEARS I love pho and their spring rolls WERE to die for, but recently the spring rolls have been smaller than usual, they don't look appetizing AT ALL (like they used to) and the ingredients don't look fresh, (the lettuce inside is yellow, there's hardly any filling in there) I'm super disappointed! And on top of that they jacked up the price for them! I'd understand if they are how they used to be, but now this low quality is a no for me, ESPECIALLY since they jacked up the price, the rolls are not even worth that price. The food here is GREAT! Shrimp pho, shrimp rolls, fried rice, brisket pho, and egg rolls are the items we tried on our first visit here. The prices are great and reasonable as well. HOWEVER, the service was bad, bad, bad. The woman who was on the floor serving seemed to be the only server around, which is no biggie but her attitude and demeanor was awful. She would walk away from our table when we were literally mid-sentence asking her for something and I think she only said about 8 words to us the entire time. The cold grilled pork spring rolls were very good, but I was expecting crispy (and hot) spring rolls. It PAYS to pay attention to your menu, folks. The service wasn't horrible, nor was it great. Very excited to try this place. Unfortunately our excitement quickly turned into regret. For starters the place smelled like moth balls and wasn't very clean. The floors were very sticky. There were too many plants inside and some of them were partially dead. We were seated by what assume was the owner. He quickly brought us water and asked us what we wanted to order. We started with a couple appetizers. The fried egg rolls and fresh spring shrimp rolls. For entrees we ordered the P12 Pho Tai Chan Beef filet mignon and brisket and the P22 Pho Ga White Meat White meat Chicken noodle soup. We were never asked if wanted something to drink besides water. The fried eggrolls and the fresh shrimp rolls were brought to the table within 2-3 mins of taking our order. The fresh shrimp egg rolls weren't fresh and they were tasteless. The peanut sauce was okay nothing grandiose. The fried egg rolls were warm it seemed like they were just reheated. They had good taste until we found hair in one of the egg rolls. We told our waiter he didn't say anything just walked away with the egg roll. He never apologize or offered to bring a new order. It was really hard to enjoy our food after that. Our Pho came out about 5 mins after the appetizers . It smelled really good and the broth had a good taste. While the Pho was good it wasn't the best I have ever had. When a place has Pho in the name I think it's safe to expect exceptional pho. It was also very odd that there was a bucket of chopsticks on each table. It wouldn't make sense to put a buck of forks on each table and I am not sure why they would do chopsticks in that fashion. Seems very unsainatary. We asked for a fork and it was tightly wrapped with a napkin and scotch tapped tighter than Fort Knox. We had to use a pocket knife to open the fork. I've been here a couple times and every time, the food has been mediocre. I usually get a bowl of pho which will be a little bland and the most recent time, I got bun bo hue which was almost flavorless and not even the least bit spicy. The service was also lacking each time I went. Most recently, one of the people I went with found a shrimp head in her shrimp-less pho order. So either they don't clean or trash just gets dropped into their bowls of food. read more

Well, I miss the Yelp UYE by a few minutes, but I was still on a mission to finally try Pho. I finally did. I must say...me likey. Walking in and noticing that I was most definitely the minority in there....with Asian customers filling the place, was a VERY good sign! We started off lunch with the shrimp spring rolls....they were big....and came with a peanut dipping sauce....yummers. Then....PHOOOOO. I'll admit, they had a MUCH bigger menu than I was ready for...with all my delicious Thai and Vietnamese favorites.....but I had dedicated this lunch to Pho....and Pho delivered. I got the Fillet Mignon and meatball pho....it came in a bowl big enough for me to sit in if so inclined. The fillet was tender and wonderful, the meatballs looked iffy...but once I tasted one I loved it...the broth was SO flavorful and warm.....just a big bowl of comfort. The funny part was figuring our how to eat it....chopsticks for the meat and noodles? Spoon for the broth? together? Separate? And whats all this stuff our here on this place? Yeah, if I had just watched one of the million Asian customers, I would have figured it out! But I didn't until I was done....I'm not that bright. But....at least I'll be a pro next time! I have never felt the need to give any place a 1 star Yelp review but this place was more than deserving after my experience last night. Our waiter was inattentive, rude, and unprofessional. I asked a question about the difference between two noodle dishes...the waiter stared at me blankly and said, "I don't know". At this point his cell phone started ringing in his pocket and he gestured at it like, "Hurry up, I need to take this". Flustered, I hastily ordered some chicken fried rice because that's always safe and simple. The waiter walked about 10 feet away and started talking on his cell phone in front of us...clearly a social call and not an emergency. The waiter returns a bit later with our dinners and starts to put shrimp fried rice in front of me. I point out I ordered chicken. Still holding the plate, he pushes it in my face and says "NO you order SHRIMP fried rice!" After requesting he go back to the kitchen and replace the wrong order, he stubbornly claims I ordered shrimp then tells us we need to pay for the shrimp dish. I'm about to go nucelar at this point. Not one for confrontation, my BF stepped in to smooth it over...offers to eat the dish and pay for the waiters mistake. Not the solution I would have done but it ended the disagreement. Time to dig in...well, the Pho my boyfriend had looked good and he enjoyed it..the Pho is probably 3-4 stars by itself. Sad to say after the waiter battle, but the fried rice was bad. The chicken ended up bland and slimy. The veggies were peas and carrots...the frozen kind you buy from the jolly green giant. Unnaturally cubed carrots with the taste of freezer burn...bizarrely, there was a fresh carrot garnish topping so I don't know why they can't slice fresh carrots for the dish. Great Pho. While I tend to stick to things non-pho, I must say this place has definitely brought me back to the dark side. When I think Pho I think bad chicken parts, with mediocre vegetables that have been half-cleaned, thrown into a pot with dirt water boiled with al-dente vietnamese noodles. I ordered a Taro milk tea with no ice, and the employee was bothered at first asking me if I realize it won't be cold (obviously) and then when they brought it to my table it was literally filled up HALFWAY. When I asked why he said "you said no Ice, so it's like that" which was literally mind boggling because if you go anywhere else its still filled up, so then when I said "ok.. so then lets add ice I suppose" he took it back and then yelled from the counter that my drink was ready, but finally a different employee just brought it to me.
