This is a very good place for a nice night out with your date, but if the nanny fails you....well it's very Kids friendly. I have been here couple of times, but forgot to check in. The first impression is that you are in a party in a local restaurant in some "barrio" in Mexico. The owner (Monica) seems to be always there and is the most friendly person on earth, she will explain the menu and give you great tips on what you like, the kids have a little open area in the restaurant with tv and some games to keep them busy. Monica will come by the kids (sometimes) with some goodies. So far I tried the tacos which are good, the tacos locos is my Favorite, because is with pastor sauce, very tasty and don't need to put too much in the taco and second favorite is the fish tacos. We have been coming to I love tacos at least every two weeks since moving back to FL. Ambiance is great. Drinks are good. The food is excellent and always consistent. Servers are attentive. I come here specifically for the Nacho's Ignacio, which is a humongous bowl of deliciousness that can easily be enjoyed by four as an appetizer l, but it's sooo yummy that I order one for myself as an entree and still can't finish it on my own, but worth every bite. Pair the nachos to a passion fruit margarita, and you will leave full and happy. Note: they have weird hours and close for 2-3 hours after lunch before dinner, so call before you go. Worst meal ever. Let me start by saying we had to place our order twice with 2 separate waiters, that is never a good sign. We had to ask twice for the complimentary chips and Salsa. Chicken burrito (served cold) $9.90. We had to ask for a drink refill. Mole enchiladas $12.90 on the menu, I was charged $13.90. I was told the enchiladas came with beans and rice, they never came. I told the waiter about the bill over charge and he rang up a new bill with a $1.00 discount. The enchiladas were very tasty and a nice size portion. I asked for my side of rice and beans to go since they never came out during the meal. They had a really good singer. He was very loud so it was impossible to talk. I will not be back when it is busy, they do not have enough staff and have a hard time getting the food out when they are busy. This was the first time in several months that we've been to I Love Tacos because in our previous two visits it seemed that the quality had slipped. We were pleased to see this time that their food had returned to the quality we had come to expect. The fish tacos were outstanding, was the rajas con crema. I Love Tacos makes their own green and red salsas, and they were outstanding. Spicy, but in service of flavor, not for its own sake. One note- we were told that now only "top shelf" margaritas are available, which are more expensive than the drinks noted on the menu. The waiter could not tell us what kind of tequila was used to make them top shelf. We will return soon, and hope that I Love Tacos becomes a regular spot for us again! read more

For beginnings I did not like the food . I order a flauta and it was completely burned outside and the chicken inside was dry and tasteless . The menu doesn't specify exactly what is inside de taco , neither the waitress. On top of that, I bought a groupon that was saying lunch for 2 for $14 and I end up having to pay $11 on the top !!! This place was a total disappointment. We were the only two in the restaurant and it took 10 minutes to get water and 30 minutes to get two quesadillas. We each had one margarita. It was disgusting! We asked how it was made: margarita mix, some strawberries and a "little tequila." They were not kidding! It was the worst drink I had ever tasted. When the bill came, the two drinks were listed as "Top Shelf" and cost $12.50 each! When we complained we were told, "that is the cost." They were so bad, we didn't even drink them. Overpriced, small portions. This is the most expensive Mexican restaurant that I've been in. We ordered tacos, they were very small and don't come with any rice and beans on the side. When I asked the waitress for the rice and beans she said that it would be extra charge. Portion was very small and food was mediocre. When they brought it out again it was fried. The place was EMPTY, yet we still couldn't get prompt service. There were only 2 other couples dining there at this time. 1 couple arrived before us .. And 1 couple after. The couple before us... Got their entire order wrong because we could hear all the commotion and chaos and complaints and "sorry sorry". Then they put a random bowl of rice on our table. We didn't question it but we also didn't touch it. 10 minutes later.. She Comes back and says sorry.. This rice was supposed to be for the other couple...so she takes it and gives it to the other couple. Good thing we never touched it! What if we had sneezed all over it or stuck our fingers in it?!? Very disappointed. I've been coming here for about 4 years and I was always pleased with the food and service. Was always a pretty chill place to have lunch or dinner. My girlfriend and I decide to have dinner here on 5/17/19 at around 8pm because we haven't been here for a few months. Walking in through the door, there were only two tables with customers. We stood at the entrance waiting to be acknowledged by one of the two girls standing behind the bar. I had to make hand gestures pointing to the tables, basically asking if we just seat ourselves. Finally the short, thin dark haired girl came out and sat us. We ordered the Queso Fundido for appetizer which was delicious but they never brought out the chips and salsa so since this appetizer only brings 4 tortillas we could hardly finish without the chips. We had to ask for plates to eat the appetizer but they didn't bring them until we had already finish it. We had the steak tacos, which the steak tasted as it had been frozen and cooked from its frozen state. I had my favorite "Wet Burrito" which came out looking the same as always except the white cheese sauce was cold so it sort of made me nauseous but I continued eating. The ground pork tasted like the taco meat at Taco Bell. I don't know what has happened to this place, it used to be one of my favorites in the Weston area. I believe the problem begins with the servers and continue from there. Forgot to mention that the 3 people that arrived right after us, walked out because they could not accommodate a special order of the Tacos platter because they didn't like fish and didn't want the fish tacos, only steak and chicken. I loved this placed, their guacamole and food were always on point. We have been going here for the last 4 years. I went to dinner on Feb 2 and my husband ordered a corona. The waitress came back to table after he had drank from it and kindly told us the alcohol price had gone and if that was ok. At this point...do you return it or do you keep drinking it? Went there last night and ordered guacamole and chips and fajitas! The vibe was nice and they had a singer and great music. The food was delicious. I especially love the guacamole. One thing I noticed was the menu prices were different than what they charge me on my bill. See attached for my receipt and compare it to the menu. I was charged higher for the fajitas meal (menu 29.99) and the guacamole (menu 9.90) and a margarita (menu 6.49) . The service was mediocre and the server forgot about us several times. Service is absolutely inconsistent. It seems as though they are understaffed because both times we've been there, there were only two to three people working. On a dinner shift the staff is not capable of keeping pace with the dinner crowd. Our waiter looked beyond stressed as he tried to take down our orders. We were served our appetizers relatively quickly, however we never got out drinks or silverware until five minutes after our entrées were served (after repeatedly asking for these the whole time) The wait staff has no organization. We asked 4 times to get these items and ultimately had to go through another waiter for our waters and silverware. While the food itself was good, the overall dining experience was incredibly poor. The most flavorful part of the tacos were the onions and cilantro. They might have other good items on the menu but the tacos al pastor are not one of them.
