I ordered the 3-protein bowl with spicy tuna, wasabi tuna, and spicy salmon--the fish tasted fresh and flavorful. They have a great selection of sides and toppings, plus a wide variety of sauces. It does sucks that the crab salad doesn't count as a free topping like other places would. I really liked that they let you try as many sauces as you want in your bowl--definitely a nice touch. This is my favorite poke place whenever I'm in the Rancho area. I don't live near it and try to visit once a month when we go to the office. If I lived close by, I would be scared of my mercury levels because I'd eat at Poke Cube at least twice a week. Last year, during election season, I picked the location to drop off my ballot that was closest to Poke Cube because I was craving it. I love their online ordering feature so that I can pick it up during lunch but the times I decided to just order in person, I've always found that the staff are friendly, patient, and great. I have no complaints regarding service or food! I found the establishment to always be clean and well stocked with take out utensils. Whoever manages this place is doing a great job. :) Ok, the poke! The fish is fresh and I've never found myself disappointed with the quality. I am a fresh fish snob and I'm annoyingly picky with my raw fish consumption. Yes, I've been to Japan twice so that's why I'm cursed. But Poke Cube cures me. I trust their fish! I've been ordering from Poke Cube on a consistent basis for a couple years now. It's such a treat for the times that we're in the office and I have something yummy to look forward to eating at lunchtime. In terms of their protein, I've tried their tako (octopus), shrimp, tofu, spicy salmon, and spicy tuna. I've never had an issue with any of their toppings and have had 2 scoops of the crab salad before. If I had a friend who has never had poke before, I will gladly yap about this place! Though I got takeout, my experience was rather exquisite and interesting. Food: 5/5 There was quite a big amount of selection to choose from... from ahi tuna, to garlic shrimp, and more! I honestly was impressed by the selection. There was also kale too, as well. Service: 5/5 They were really eager to help out, honestly, and gave me good recommendations. I love Poke! I just wish it wasn't so darn expensive. This is my once a month guilty pleasure. Food always taste fresh and yummy! If you're planning on ordering, do so in store as the menu on yelp seems to be more expensive than if you were to oder in store. The servers are always nice and help me figure out what I am trying to order when I forget what things are called. I've only sat down once to eat here during my lunch break and it was nice and relaxing but haven't been able to ever since my lunch has been shortened to 30 minutes instead of an hour. read more

I love me a good poke bowl and this place doesn't disappoint. My only complaint is that I don't like their hours: I wish they'd stay open a little later (currently close at 8PM) and they're closed Sundays (which tends to be the day of the week we're more likely to want to go out for a meal). However, the food is always fresh and the portions generous. I usually get a 2 scoop bowl and my husband a 3 scoop. They charge an extra $1.50 to add avocado, FYI. Also, today I noticed they had a sign stating their prices will go up May 1, 2023. I'm curious to see by how much, since we already pay around $30 for just 2 bowls when going out with the hubs. Nonetheless, based on the quality of ingredients, the price increase is probably justified. Come give them a try :) read more

I have to update my review because I come here a few times a month now. Yes, it's THAT good. The prices are higher than years ago, understandably, due to inflation, but I have a new perspective: it's worth it! I used to think a poke bowl from here was too expensive and an occasional treat but a 4 scoops bowl, which I always get, is $19.50 for SUSHI GRADE fish! Chipotle is like $13 for some regular chicken you can make at home yourself. The poke bowls here are WELL worth the price due to the high quality of sushi grade poke + they load up the bowl generously with toppings. Download the Clover app and ask them to check you in each time. After 12 check-ins, you get a free 3 scoops bowl. My go-to order is usually 2 scoops of ahi and 2 scoops of salmon (all not marinated--I love how they have non-marinated options) or I'll replace one of the scoops with scallops (also not marinated). Then, I get the base as white rice, add green onions, masago, wakame, ginger, crab salad (if I'm feeling fancy), avocado, pineapple, fried onions, furikake, and my favorite sauces: honey wasabi and mango. I ask them to add the sauces on at the end so that every topping gets the sauces. Absolutely delicious! Get your fix before Sunday because they are closed on Sunday! read more

The overall food is alright, but one thing I want to say is you shouldn't put pineapple into the bowl I tried it and it was not good due to the sweetness from pineapple kind of mixing of the flavor of the bowl. The salmon when they first started going there was top notch, would no longer recommend. Disappointed both times I've ordered it. The marinated scallops I would recommend and the ahi. Last week my boyfriend and I stopped in to try out this authentic Hawaiian poke spot for the first time. To drink we ordered a bottle of Oi Ocha Hojicha, Unsweetened. This roasted green tea was quite strong, it's Japan's #1 green tea for a reason, it's worth it for it's many healthy benefits. For dinner I ordered the Build Your Own Bowl with 2 Scoop Protein, Salmon and Ahi Tuna, topped with Crab Salad, Avocado, Edamame, Green Onion, Cucumber, Masago, Wasabi, Spicy Mayo and Furikake over Arcadian Mix and White Rice. Their were a couple tables outside, but we took our bowls to-go since it was scorching outside. Both the fish and toppings were fresh and delicious and I was glad to see a whole half of an avocado, definitely a good price point for $10.95! But once you got down to the rice and salad it lacked flavor and their wasn't enough sauce, making the bowl dry and rice stick to the bottom. I would still give this place another shot, but next time I'll try a different base and ask for an extra side of sauce to add more flavor to the poke. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. It was only recently this year that I discovered a little holy grail of restaurants and cafes all in ONE lot down on Zinfandel in Rancho Cordova. And my first stop upon discovering this magical lunch haven was Poke Cube! I can't lie to you, my first experience at Poke Cube which was several months ago and it wasn't that great. It was super busy and I paid like $16 for a bowl that had no weight to it! Very little rice and protein and nothing irks me more than when I feel that I didn't get my money's worth. And trust me when I get poke, I'm by NO means a 3 scooper! I'm a straight up 5 scooper kinda gal! I do not PLAY when it comes to my protein! But here at Poke Cube they only go up to 4 scoops max. Any additional scoop is $2 extra. I was so disappointed first time around , I told myself unless if I'm really desperate and in an forgiving state of mind then I'll make a return. And that so just happened this past Thursday lmao. And I'm glad it did because in my case second time was the charm! Due to the current Covid times, they were closed for about two months and just opened back up recently. You basically fill out your order form outside on their table full of pens, order sheets and hand sanitizer. Then take it inside and pay. Come back outside until you see them bring your order and place it on the table by the window. They are doing ZERO dine in right now. There are no tables not chairs, they have rearranged everything. So, when you do go inside, it's just to pay and come back to get your food when it's ready. So, I got a four scoop protein bowl with avacado with was $1 extra plus a Hawaiian Sun drink and my total came to damn near $18! Sheeshhhh, well I can't complain too much because everything is fresh and poke is not cheap out here in California so it is what it is. My worry was, were they gonna give me my moneys worth this second time around???? Drumrolls please........ YES, INDEED IT DID! I picked up my bag, went back to my car and took out my bowl and man it had some serious WEIGHT to it! I couldn't help but take pics of it first. The bowl was packed with hot steam rice, and a very GENEROUS portion of protein! The bowl was so beautiful! And fish tasted so fresh, along with cucumbers, jalapenos and avacado! The avacado was so fresh and creamy, was worth the extra $1 seriously! This poke bowl was very delicious and filling! Everything was so fresh! Customer Service first time and second time around was really nice. Never had an issue, smiles all around. Pretty solid work team running the place. My reason for 4 stars is because is most poke places here in Sac do 5 scoops max for their large bowl and for the same price that Poke Cube does for their 4 scoop. With that said, yes I can guarantee you that I will be returning to Poke Cube! But not on the regular REGULAR, just every now and THEN! When I really feel like treating myself, then I'll be in! Poke cube! My first experience was definitely lacking because I had ordered online using this app. Strangely when I came to pick up my order, they said they did not received it. Three guys were working that day and again, I gave them my name once more. The Asian worker pointed to a metal shelf for doordash/online/pickup and goes "is that your order?" I looked at the paper bag with a receipt and it indeed was my order. The Caucasian worker who was working at the cashier was like "that's for someone else.." I think I might have ordered through doordash or something because it came out to be over +$20 (I chose the 3 scoops)...anyways. I verified that it was my order because it stated my name. Had a good laugh after that. When I opened my online order, the food portion was so lacking..there wasn't even rice like they only scooped 1 scoop of rice?? It says to choose to different scoops but I selected 1, but common sense, wouldn't that be 2 if I didn't select the second options? I just wanted rice only. For protein; I got 5 pieces of small Tako (squid) like huh? Lol and several pieces of salmon and tuna which were fine portion. But I felt ripped off..like that was not worth +$20. But regardless if it wasn't +$20, the portion was lacking. So I was hesitant to even go back. But I thought about it a week after, maybe because I ordered online incorrectly and I wasn't present at the time? Maybe that's why my portions were so tiny and my payment was so high? So, I came back, 2 ladies were working that day, filled out the checklist order and chose the 3 scoops, and OMG..they packed it up!! I didn't select the Tako based on previous experience so I opted in for scallops and they were sooo tasty! If you can see the pictures below of my two bowls, it's so noticeable different in portion. And if anyone is wondering if I ate anything before taking those photos, NO. It's rare of me to even dig in before taking a photo of my food. That would make me reviews not credible. :( To order: you would complete the Order Checklist and hand it over to the cashier, you pay for your order (they take Apple Pay and Credit/Debit. Didn't ask for they take cash), and you wait until they complete your order. Once they complete the order, they call your name and the order will be on a metal rack right by the cashier. Can't miss it! Customer service: very friendly! I hope to the same ladies serve me again. They were so generous T^T Parking: you won't have any trouble finding parking! So can not decide if you want it spicy or regular? No prob, sample it and decide from there. Please refer to my recent picture of the menu for prices, the others currently posted are totally out dated. They charge by scoops now, so instead of "small vs large bowl" it's the number of scoops. You get to choose your proteins from Shoyu Tuna, Garlic Shrimp, Spicy Salmon, etc. They have a ton of options. Concept is "pick and point," once you pick your proteins, you then select from rice, salad and numerous other toppings. There's a lot to choose from, check out my menu pic! For dessert, they sell Mochi; I highly recommend the Chocolate Expresso, Green Tea and Pistachio; $2 each of 3 for $5. Service could use some work or more so, use some extra help! The poor guy working alone tonight was bombarded with a line after we had ordered. I had to wait in line for what felt like over 10 minutes just trying to pay for my Mochi, thank god it was worth the wait. Seriously, this review is LONG overdue. In my genuine, honest opinion, this is the best place I have ever eaten at. I don't mean that lightly. I don't write reviews and I don't really ever talk online about other places but oh my goodness this place is good. I come probably once every 2 weeks and each time I bring a new person and they love it. Fish is fresh every time, employees are always kind and go above and beyond and the service is great!! There's never really a line despite the place being busy. The store just had a price increase so expect to pay about $20 a person. The 2 scoop bowl is so filling. Looking for a healthy takeout option for dinner after work one evening, I remembered a yelp friend recommending Poke Cube. Located in Rancho Cordova near my new office, I decided to give it a try. I would definitely recommend ordering ahead, as the staff were quite busy working on phone and take out orders when I arrived. With that being said, I feel like this pandemic has deteriorated most people's social skills and ability to engage in simple, yet cordial social interactions. I was ignored by the staff for several minutes before finally getting a "what do you want?" Customer service and overworked/overwhelmed staff aside, I cannot deny the quality of the product.
