Maybe not luv, but I really like I Luv Pho a lot. Pho: I gravitate towards the large size ($8.95) P10 pho dac biet since it's got all sorts of meats in it: filet mignon, flank, tripe, tendons, and meatballs, and I have problems deciding which meats I want. The meatballs are unremarkable, but the other meats are pretty plentiful and tasty. The small size (oddly, no medium) is about a buck less, and the x-large version is around 2 dollars extra. The x-large comes in a bowl that could probably fit a newborn baby, it's huge! If I spot one in the dining room, I tend to gawk at it. The broth here is really tasty. I'm no pho pro, but the noodle soup here is good enough for me. Appetizer: have been getting the fresh shrimp rolls ($3.25), those kinds in an opaque white wrapper with peanut dipping sauce. Good size and tasty. But they usually come out a fraction of a second before the pho! So consider them more of a side dish than appetizer. Cost: inexpensive for sure. And there's a Yelp check-in offer as well. Ambiance: average, with a diner feel. You can buy candies and gift boxes near the register, random. Parking: spaces are available in their lot right out front. Wifi: free, look for the password by the host stand. Hours: open until midnight. Highlight: Came here with my friend on our weekly Buford Highway escapades. This used to be where the Chinese restaurant, Feng Mei, used to be. So you can still see the chandelier and the original brick building. There's still the indoor koi fountain pond- leftover from the original glitz of the Chinese restaurant. These days, the lobby sells cheap gifts and curiosities and the restaurant is bustling with a good lunch crowd. The prices are very good- I ordered the extra large pho not knowing that the thing was probably some family sized thing- the bowl was probably a cauldron itself!! I got the chicken rice bake and an appetizer of shrimp rolls. Pho: alright, so. Most places come with 3 sizes of pho. There's the baby bear, mama bear, and papa bear sized bowls. I saw mama bear sized and thought him.. that medium don't look too big, let's go for the large! Turns out papa bear can definitely eat more than mama bear, according to this restaurant. This was probably 2 times more than mama bear and bowl was enough to feed 4 people!!! Even my friend was impressed I ordered that big of a thing with the chicken rice bake to go with it. However, this was an EXCELLENT pho. I thought the soup was really good- noodles were appropriate and they gave the right amount of beef. Some places mess up on one of the ingredients- too much noodles that drink all the broth that you have some dried up swollen noodle mess, or broth with no flavor that you wonder if the place turned off the heat 30 mins in of the 9 hour brew, or not enough beef to where it's just noodle soup with some beef rather than beef noodle stew. I thought this place did all 3 dimensions well! Noodles not overcooked, beef was tender- we got the P13- brisket and filet mignon- all tender and good. Definitely don't forget to dump in your basil, bean sprouts, and vegetables! Chicken Bake - they had this one starred meaning people liked it. They take rice and line the bottom of a stone bowl and put chicken and stir fry on top and "bake". So order this ahead of time if you're waiting for friends. Pho should be served right when everyone int he party is there. The bake leaves the rice crispy with a charred edge- The chicken tasted like your typical stir fry. It's a good contrast dish to get if you get the soupy pho. If you like more flavorful and stir fried food, get this dish. I got the chicken with vegetables- crispy edged rice gives this a fun texture to eat! appetizers- 2 spring rolls for 3.25$ is such a deal for spring rolls! Definitely get this for your appetizers. If you have no dietary restrictions, go for everything in the roll- otherwise the choice is pork or shrimp. This place was generous with their filling- some places put ice burg lettuce (not a fan if you ask me), skimp on basil, or don't put enough shrimp/pork. This place has GREAt spring rolls and the peanut sauce is good (good blend of sugar, peanut butter, soy sauce, dark soy sauce). Overall this place is GREAt! the pho here is pretty decent. the vegetables were fresh & they had plenty for the table. food came out really fast so its good for a quick bowl of pho. the pho itself isn't mindblowingly good but it's quick & gets the job done. my group was in and out in 30 min. Plus, they're open late, in case you need a hot bowl of soup or some tasty snacks before heading home. Things we like: Shrimp Spring Rolls. Straightforward & simple. Served with a delicious peanut sauce. Crabmeat Rangoon. These always seem to hit the table fresh out of the fryer. Served with that reddish sweet-sauce. Always a crowd pleaser. Ph đc bit (Pho made with filet, meatball, flank, bible tripe, and tendon.) Delicious. A staple. Get the small, or the medium if you are REALLY hungry. Get the large if you need to swim some laps before eating. Ph gà (chicken pho). For the less adventurous among us. Still delicious pho. H tiu xào thp cm. (Shrimp, beef, chicken, and squid atop rice.) Great late night snacks! Friends ordered Pho but I wanted something small so I ordered fresh shrimp roll and fried egg rolls. I asked for a small bowl of broth and they gave it to me for free. It's just basically a Pho broth. Fresh shrimp roll not only had shrimps, but it also had pork inside. I don't like the pork. It was a bit surprised because I didn't expect pork. Roll is nicely rolled with bean sprouts, shrimp, pork, and veggies. Comes with the side of peanut sauce. I like to put some Siracha in it. Peanut sauce is so yummy! Hmm, I don't think I Luv Pho pushes out adequate pho, but it definitely serves a purpose. (I'm looking at you club go-ers who love late-night eats.) Things to know: ***** I. LOCATION & PARKING: The parking lot is not the biggest, and they share it with other businesses in their little strip mall, but you should be able to find spot without a problem. Also, Google Maps should take you to the correct location. II. FOOD & DRINK: They offer different types of pho, with different cuts of meats and all, so I ordered any pho places signature bowl: pho dac biet. For my pho breakdown, I thought the broth needed more depth aka more bones, salt, and simmering. Regarding the noodles, they were pretty standard, and the cuts of tendons and flank, as well as vegetable garnishes, were fine. Their *spring rolls were OK! They only used plain cha lua, but I liked their peanut dipping sauce. Egg rolls -- no problems there. I liked how they brought out lettuce and pickled daikon and carrot. I also asked for their *café sua da, and it was pre-made. I wish they freshly brewed it, because it was very flat. III. SERVICE: Super quick and friendly. No qualms here. IV. AMBIENCE & DÉCOR: Their restaurant is pretty large, and it's very colorful. I think I saw an upstairs, too. It's also very clean, which is impressive for such a large space. V. PRICES: For two bowls of pho (I went with my boo), spring rolls, and a coffee, everything came out to slightly over $20. Not too bad. VI. My friends and I came here, and to be honest I Luv Pho, could have been better. One of our friends ordered the shrimp pho, which came with beef broth, and since my friend didn't want beef, the waiters were being weird about making a new bowl for her with veggie broth. They ended up shifting the ingredients and giving her veggie broth, but I don't see why they couldn't remake it. I ordered the veggie pho, small, and to be honest this place is a little pricey for the portion sizes. The pho itself was fine, like any other pho place, it just wasn't as flavorful and the service put a bitter taste in my mouth. I know there are several I Love Pho locations in Duluth and Tucker area. I definitely like this one the best. The staff is super friendly and has great customer service. I love Pho and there name fits pretty well with my feeling on this restaurant. I am been eating Pho for about a year and the only other place I have eaten Pho at was Pho24 on Buford Highway(Don't eat there). Yes, they don't have the largest parking lot in the world but I had no problem parking there since I went around 11pm. Additionally, the hours on Yelp aren't update since they stay open later. The Veggie Pho was amazing: larger size, a ton of veggies as you can see in the picture, very filling so much I need to take half on my Pho home price reasonably(until $10), and everything tasted fresh. The staff was very friendly, we asked for extra chili oil and they were more than happy to give us as much as we wanted, no rushing us to pay even though they were closing, thank my girlfriend and me at least 3 times to eating there, and they us made us feel very at home eating out. I haven't eaten anything at this location but veggie Pho but they have snacks, toys, and other things to can buy from their shop located at the entrance so if you have the time earlier in the day definitely something to keep in mind. Overall, it's the only place I can recommend to have a clean, healthy, and calm Pho eating out experience in Atlanta/Doraville area. Also, I recommend coming hungry because the Pho will definitely fill you up and I recommend the veggie Pho. read more

It's a good size and the lighting is very nice, there is a calming atmosphere! There is also WiFi. If you want grab a quick bite this would be the place to do it if you're on a time crunch! they are very attentive, my water never got to being less than half full, very frequent refills! One difference is that they ask you here if you want onion on your pho or not, (i prefer with! But you do you!) it's the first time i got asked that at an i luv pho. Ah the old Pung Mie location. It is cursed. Many businesses tried to claim it, but they have all failed. Can I Luv Pho survive? Probably not. The first thing I noticed: it was cold inside. It was middle of December and they didn't turn the heat on. Man, I didn't realize they were doing that bad. The curse is in full effect. At least they had space heaters everywhere. I had the Pho Dac Biet. It was ok. The broth was tepid, watered down, and tasteless. I remember the original location had a nice, beefy, savory, fatty broth. This one tasted weak. I did like how they had meatballs and tendon, but the weak broth killed it. So I came for the pho and pho is what they should be good at. But the cursed place made them forget how to cook pho. I was craving a bowl of pho - bad. I missed my mom's home-cooking terribly, and I heard good (and sometimes bad) things about this place, but my friend and I decided to give it a try anyway! When you first walk in, it's exactly what you expect from any pho restaurant. Slightly worn down tables, confusing decor, waiters rushing around to get food, water, and clean up after other customers. What I noticed that this restaurant in particular didn't have was the super strong smell of pho. It was interesting. We were quickly sat down and given menus - our waitress was very friendly, but she seemed to be kind of shy with her English, so I just went ahead and ordered in Vietnamese for my friend and I. My friend ordered bun thit nuong (vermicelli with charbroiled pork) and I got the pho tai bo vein (pho with meat balls and steak). Her bowl came out first and at first sight, it was VERY colorful. It was also HUGE!! Filled to the literal brim of a fairly large bowl of veggies, meat, and noodles. I had a bite of hers - the pork was a little dry and kind of tough, and the ratio for meat to veggie/noodle really wasn't that great. She ran out of the pork fast and ended up eating spoonful of noodles. My pho came out shortly after and at first sip, it tasted a little bland. There was still the comfortable hint of beef broth flavor that I adore, but it definitely was a lot more bland than what it should have been. It was also pretty expensive... it was nearly 8 bucks for a small bowl, and increases with the larger sizes. Regardless, it still fulfilled my craving for pho and my friend and I left pretty satisfied. But there are much better places where you can get your pho fix. read more

I was at Sweet Hut when I noticed something happening across the street - they were installing the 'I Luv Pho' sign. Yay! I've been to their Jimmy Carter location a few times in the wee hours of the night and had always wished they'd open a location closer in-town - realistically, Doraville is probably as close as it's gonna get. In terms of decor, this is probably the nicest pho restaurant there is on Buford Highway, there's a winding staircase that leads upstairs to managerial offices? More seating? I couldn't really tell. Not to mention the huge, fancy schmancy chandelier above the entrance, and glittery floral wallpaper lining the walls. Pros: The service here is quick. As soon as we walked in the waiter "greeted" us with a quick "Two?" and showed us to a table, a few seconds later he wordlessly dropped off two menus and two glasses of water. He returned a few minutes later to take our orders, I went first and chose one of their clay pot entrees, he said there were none available today and (again) walked off wordlessly - I presume to give me more time to decide. I don't know, he could've at least taken the BF's order. He returned about five minutes later to re-take our orders. The BF and I both chose pho, he had the (large) brisket and filet mignon, while I had the filet mignon and flank (small). The pho came out fairly quickly, it took just a few minutes. It was good pho, the protein was good, and the broth hit the spot. Cons: The entire time we ate, our server never came back to check on us or provide refills. We noticed our receipt on the edge of the table when we finished eating. (To pay you take your receipt to the register). Overall, the pho was decent, I'd definitely come back for pho after hours, otherwise I think I'll stick with Pho Dai Lai or Nam Phuong - their pho is better as well as their service. read more

This is your ordinary no frills sort of Viet place. We ordered a Banh mi bo kho and a Broken rice with 7 special sides. My bf and I really enjoyed some of the 7 sides - egg "meatloaf" and pork chop in particular were very good! We squeezed some lime into the bo kho (be careful of squeezing too much!), but this dish turned out to be too spicy and salty for us, so we couldn't finish it, but we really enjoyed the bread though. Ok so we walking in we were greeted and seated pretty quick. I put in the order as my friend went to the restroom. As I was waiting the table and area looked outdated but clean. However!!! When my friend came back, he told me how disgusting the bathroom was, there was pee all over the seats and floor and how it smelled like straight ammonia. I just stared at him like what!?! At that point I didn't know if I wanted to stay anymore but he said it might be because they don't have cleaning staff or because the children that were there running around. I honestly just could not say anything. I tried to enjoy the food but I could not brush that off the back of my head!!! But soon the food came out and I was reassured by my friend that they couldn't have been open this long if they were unsanitary. We order the nem nuong roll and eggrolls, pho, and rice in the clay pot special. Togo we ordered the pho, bun bo hue, and 6 sandwiches for our other friends. I really think if I didn't already put in such a big order I would have told them I had an emergency and left. Everything ended up tasting pretty good. I've been here a few times now, and each time I've had a pleasant experience. There's a small parking lot for the restaurant outside, and even at busy times, I've been able to get a spot. The interior isn't anything fancy to write about, but relatively clean and spacious. I've never had a chance to go eat upstairs thought, probably for special occasions. The menu looks appealing and streamlined, especially for Buford Highway. You'll still find the assortment of your favorite Vietnamese dishes: banh mi, vermicelli, rice, and of course pho. I wasn't impressed by the pho. The broth seemed a bit mild, but it wasn't bad by any stretch either. You'll still get a rather large bowl even by ordering the smallest size. As for my go to rice and pork dish, it was really good. The meat was tender and flavorful, the veggies had the right amount of tang, and the rice, well it's broken dry rice like it should be. Prices are pretty fair, as both of these entrees were under $9. Service is better than most, as you'll be promptly seated and have your orders out quickly. After that, your server may or not check on you again until you flag them down to get your check. I want to give it a slightly higher rating because of the late hours. They're open until midnight most days, and 1:00am on Friday and Saturday. read more

We've tried the rice, vermicelli dishes, and appetizer rolls and I think the pho dishes are best. The doraiville location is good. Went to pick up my Shrimp spring rolls and the presentation was lovely. Great portion, especially for the price. However, the food was shockingly terrible. Wilted vegetables with brown spots, shrimp didn't seem to be done enough, and even in attempting to stomach it for the sake of my money, the veggies tasted like a potent grass or something. I love Pho and I LUV this place! Nestled in a plaza, this restaurant serves delicious pho with all the fixings to add in. It's super fast service and they provide cilantro, mint, sprouts, jalapeños and limes to add to your pho if you'd like. I got the large chicken pho and added all of the fixings. I was defeated as I wasn't able to finish all of the broth not all of the chicken, but I was extremely satisfied. And for $9.95...you can't beat that! read more
