Went here with my warrior built friend and we tried every single Boa Bun except the desert ones (we only had one of them). We went on a hot day & the area that we ordered in had good seating and ample shade. A lady with short hair was kind enough to give me some recommendations in which I got the pork belly, bulgogi, and the "chef's favorite". My order was serviced within 10 minutes and everything was delicious. I understand why the Khmer is considered the chef's favorite. The pork belly was a little chewier for my liking but that's okay as I enjoy beef more. I had the lychee black iced tea as an alternative to the Thai iced tea (they were out). It was so good. We tried I Luv Ur Buns for the first time today. Been wanting to try them for a while. My bf is sick and we were hungry at a weird time so we ordered I Luv Ur Buns off their website for delivery. We knew it wouldn't be the same as eating there (delivery is never piping hot). It was really delicious!! Between the two of us we tried five different flavors. They were each unique flavors with a lot of detail to the fixings. Perfect size. (Two per plate or the mix and match three buns.) Lots of choices for different cravings. So disappointed. I come here every week & the food is good, but I've never had service this terrible before. I am shocked. I ordered a PB&J for a my 1 year old baby, which I've ordered before, & received something I've never gotten before. It was a fried bao with powdered sugar, when usually I receive a heated (not fried) bun with no powdered sugar. There was no mention of this on the menu, & as I've never received it this way, I was confused. While this was a misunderstanding, the way it was handled has left me utterly disgusted. Instead of acknowledging that I misunderstood the menu & offering to remake the order as a normal food service worker would, I received a rude response telling me "it's never not fried & always comes with powdered sugar" & that if I wanted it remade, I'd have to pay. It's very very disheartening that even knowing this order was for a baby, they doubled down on their stance. You'd think the manager, would know better. We dropped in after seeing a post showing the delicious buns, and as luck would have it, it was the grand opening day. We ordered the shareable bundle, three buns, fries, gyoza, and mango ice tea. Unfortunately, none of the buns were flavorful. The Buta Bao had somewhat undercooked pork belly, the Seoul on Fire only tasted of the kimchi, and Hot Honey Bun had the blandest tasting fried chicken. All the meat lacked spices in general. The gyoza was delicious and the fries were crisp. Our order took a bit long, but it was the grand opening and our order was big, so that was understandable.
