Why were you closed on Tuesday Feb 5, 2019 and open Wednesday Feb 6, 2019 when I drove by!? AIYA! This place has style that some places don't sell. My girlfriend is interested in the kawaii women's clothing and the cosmetics it sells. It also has cute little gifts for women that other places won't sell. Example: Rose Bears. But yea.. It's a cute little store on the corner of Taraval, across from a laundromat. Don't miss it. It looks tiny but it's packed with lots of Asian goods! In fact, I don't know of any store like it for miles around...actually, I don't know of any stores like it at all, not even in Japantown. The front has cute little Japanese plushies and charms for the younger crowd. The rest of the store has kawaii-to-the-max clothing and some shoes on the order of frills, bows, and pastels. I'm guessing things only come in one size here, including the Shibuya-SF-like bras and panties. The skincare/makeup selection has more Asian brands than I've seen. The prices for the items can be hard to find (some are stickered, some have signs, and the others you'll just need to ask for). I love how they have loads of bb creams of different types, including bb sponge compacts! And they've got some pastel nail polish from American brands for good measure. They also have colored contacts/circle lenses behind the counter. The owner is sweet and gives free samples! She doesn't mind you browsing and testing everything out. And the bag they put your stuff in makes a great gift bag! Cash only. This was our first time buying circle lenses and Jasmine did an excellent job at customer service. We bought 3 pairs of circle lenses with one of them being prescription. We were hesitant about buying prescription lenses since we didn't know how to read lens sizes but the manager reassured us if there was a problem we can come back. After testing out the lenses we realized that the prescriptions were the wrong prescription and one of the lenses had a tear in them. After coming back to the store Jasmine remembered us and rushed to us with concern and a great sense of urgency. the fist few times I was there, the employees were super nice and helpful. the things were pretty expensive but at the time, I was obsessed with something they sold, so it didn't really matter to me. the last time I was there, this being a few months ago, I went with my two younger cousins. we are all Chinese , keep in mind. we were at the store looking at what they had and the employee who was working there at the time was chatting with her two friends. They were all Chinese and I guess they didn't notice that we were too. mid looking, the female employee said, "are the three girls still here? are they even going to buy anything? ugh," very rudely in Mandarin.
