This is one of my have to stop by whenever I'm visiting home places. Been a patron for years when they were at the old location in the Gibson shopping center in Mapunapuna. Started taking the kids and they've since continued the tradition by taking my grandbabies there. The servings got larger. Which makes the value better. But the shave ice was always bomb. The service is fine considering it's a small hole in the wall and essentially two people running it. This place has always been on my list of places to try when I come on the island and I finally got to during my most recent trip! It's located in a strip mall and was pretty hard to find as the mall had two levels. We parked on the bottom level and made our way up the escalators until we found the window to order. I ordered the taro shaved ice and added pudding to it and it was literally the best thing I have ever eaten!! It tasted like one of my favorite Asian sweet soup desserts (taro sago sweet soup) and every bite was so creamy. Definitely my favorite shaved ice place! Fine shave ice, soft mochi, the pudding is medium firmness, and the ice to syrup ratio is perfect for my kids. Location: It's located in Aiea Shopping Center in the second floor near Mcdonald's. Parking: It can be scarce since there are a number of good business in the same area. Covid-19 precautions: Due to Covid the inside is currently closed. You order from the outside window. Make sure you wear a mask when you order. CASH ONLY! There is covered seating under the parking structure near the florist shop. There is also a bathroom near that area. Upon arrival: Pros: 1) in a mini mall with lots if parking 2) located in the 2nd floor of this mini mall 3) it's a little window. You order at the window. 4) photos of each shave ice is located on their window. 5) we got 4 shave ice. 3 was very good. Passion Fruit one was ok. Shave ice here is so soft. Halo halo is superb. 6) it didn't take long for us to get our orders. Cons: 1) passion fruit shave ice was very syrupy. But after we mixed it, it tasted better. It tasted more like an orange julius vs passion fruit. Conclusion: This little place is cute. It's outside a mini mall on the 2nd floor. Inside restaurant was not open when we were there. There is a short line. Shave ice is soft and fluffy. I like this spot. It's close to the airport. Like 5 miles away from the airport. read more

I definitely enjoy coming here. More pricey than other shaved ice places, but it's worth it. Shave ice is one of the softest on the island and it melts in your mouth. They are know for their custard flan on top their shave ice. You can ONLY order custard WHEN YOU ORDER SHAVE ICE! This was kind of dumb. I wanted to add it later and the male worker said I couldn't. He claimed it was for "sanitation reasons" that I couldn't add it on AFTER I got my original order. I asked if he could just put it on the side and he said no. Was a total bummer, but I learned from that and every time I go I always order the custard. Parking is a hit or miss because it's limited, but I don't find much issues. I come here pretty often because I'm obsessed with the quality of their shave ice. Because of the pandemic, there's no place to sit anymore and now it's a walk up window at the outside 2nd floor of the Aiea shopping mall, in the middle section (it shares the parking lot with McDonald's). I got my favorite, the #22 Blue Vanilla Shave Ice with Ice Cream and Mochi Balls and then added a custard topping, while my sis and bro-in-law ordered the #13 Rainbow Shave Ice with Mochi Balls and added a custard. I was a bit disappointed when they kindly told us that they were low on mochi balls that day, but they actually still gave us a decent amount. Everything was as good as remember. I love the options of flavors and varieties of toppings they offer. I always add a custard, mochi balls, and ice cream if the shave ice I get doesn't already come with it. We also went at a good time, on an early Monday afternoon, when there was just one party ahead of us. We also got our order fairly quickly. A friend recommended this place and did inform me that they're pricey especially when you add on extra toppings. My husband and I ordered the #13 Rainbow Shave Ice with Mochi Balls and I added the custard for me. The bowl they used was small and shallow. Didn't care for the taste of the syrup they used. Thought it was overpriced for the amount they served. Shave ice on Hawaii always hits different, since it's so soft and literally melts in your mouth. We tried like 5 different shaved ice places on our trip and this place unfortunately fell short compared to the others. The flan was good but the shaved ice itself was really sweet on top and then the ice below was not flavored at all, all the other places we went to the syrup was able to penetrate the ice and allow for a more even distribution of the sweetness.
