Throughout it all, the team remained professional, responsive, organized, and attentive to detail. Walter, the locksmith technician who handled the project from beginning to end, did an outstanding job. His workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out, and the finished result exceeded my expectations. Chicago Locksmith is lucky to have someone such as Walter that is extremely skilled, professional and pleasant to deal with. I also want to recognize the Chicago Locksmith office staff for their excellent customer service and communication throughout the process. Perhaps he is of Irish heritage, I never had the opportunity to find out 1) I have seen over 300 photographs of his work This man is the very BEST if you are only looking for a handyman or have no assistance from even an essentially useless husband in the paint or a long hair clogged shower drain 2) Shay is a LIAR I appreciate that he was willing to drive out to The suburbs of Chicago from all the way East in Logan Square His estimate is NOT free as Yelp guaranteed He requires photographs (easy peasy) of the locks as well as *$45* to even come out to take a look He broke the Yelp Guarantee right there Chicago Locksmiths should be banned from Yelp same as nobody should have voted for Trump. He not only set up time to come by, but he proactively recommended electronic locks to me, steering me towards a better lock than the one I planning to install. I called ICH in order to have a few internal locks swapped due to wear & tear and to change the front & back entrance door locks due to old age in my condo. The person who answered the phone was very responsive and seemed to ask the right questions in order to provide the necessary service. -Lost my hard key. Told me they would reimburse me for it and never did. -The tech deprogrammed both our fobs leaving us with no car. Was told they couldnt come fix it until our new keys arrived because it "wasn't on route" . That took over 10 days after we ordered express 2-3 shipping. -After this whole experience we are still down one hard key that I'm not optimistic about getting back. It's been a month now. read more
