By far my favorite Japanese/Sushi restaurant around. Five star quality. Five star service. I always leave with a smile on my face.

I had some time to kill before a delayed flight out of Midway and I found this gem. Great sushi for a fair price. I love to get veggies with every meal, and they had a side of sautéed veggies for like 3 bucks! The seaweed salad was generous and delicious. Of course the sashimi was delicious as well. I did not happen to notice at the time, but there was AYCE sushi during the summer. Hope to get back there to give it a go. read more

When I lived in the city there was an abundance of sushi buffet places to choose from. When I moved south I had to travel to Orland Park to get some decent sushi. I'm so glad this place is close to home! The rolls are large, the service is attentive, and the ambiance and decor is warm and calming. I only wish they offered sushi buffet hours in the evening on weekdays and not just on weekends. They have everything I need at a sushi place except the Miami roll!!! Best Chinese everrrrrr...even that I ever had living in this area for 30 years now. The sweet and sour chicken is a simple Chinese classic meal, however it's soooo delicious here! Love the fact sauce is on the side when ordering take out and the chicken remains nice and crispy when it gets to you and better to save for left overs and crisp right back up...most other places come with it already on the chicken which absolutely ruins it from the sogginess pretty quickly! Not to mention the amount of food you get here for the prices!!! Absolutely can't be beat! Orange chicken is on my list of things things try here because I heard it's even more outstanding and even the sushi has been recommended to me from those who live as far out as Fenton and come to New Hudson just to get...never had sushi before but this makes me curious and the fact this restaurant does no wrong and is absolutely amazing to eat at or order out from makes me have even more of a willingness to get adventurous in my food choices, and let me tell you I do not get adventurous so that means something great for the quality of food you receive here versus other restaurants! Mind you they deliver as well which is so huge! They delivered even before the covid pandemic and this alone was a giant plus for my family cause delivery options are far and few between when you don't want to go through grub hub and such...highly recommend if you've never been here! Wow! I was so impressed by Ichiban. My co-worker and I ordered online, which was very quick and relatively easy. The order was prepared almost immediately. The young lady at the front desk was sweet. They gave us so much food! I was not expecting that. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box (a nice surprise that it came with yummy veggies and the shrimp sumai was sooo good, really hit the spot) and she got a Godzilla roll. This place was amazing. The chefs don't just make sushi rolls, they create artistic and flavorful variations of sushi. Don't worry, those of you who like traditional, usual sushi, they have plenty of that too. They had a very good drink menu. We ordered the pear flavored sake and it was tasty and smooth. Then we had the pear flavored martini. It was smooth, and not too sweet. For those who like sweet, order the Mai Tai. Our server, Michelle, had great timing. She was there when we needed her and was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. This was our first visit, but will not be our last. It's outstanding. Took the family here for dinner tonight. We were looking for Japanese Hibachi and they did not disappoint. Food was excellent and the service was superb! They were very attentive and so polite. We had crab Rangoon, some sushi and sashimi, hibachi meals and my daughter had pad Thai! Everything was some of the best we have ever had. The restaurant is very clean and somewhat quiet atmosphere. Don't let the fact that it is located in a strip mall fool you as it is one of the best we have eaten in! They also have a very extensive menu and you can order it for pick up. If I had to choose one negative, which really isn't a big deal to my family, is that they do not cook the hibachi in front of you. I realized tonight I like this better because I don't have to share a table with strangers. That's just me though.... I will definitely be back. Soon! read more

I think the all you can eat option is a great deal but I'm not a fan of sushi rice and they really load the rice up on the rolls. I wouldn't do the buffet again but that's just my preference. I did order some sashimi and the fish was very good. The drinks were really inexpensive and very good too. This is our third time coming to this amazing place. My fiance and I truly love this place due to them having so many delicious options. Customer service is incredible here. I love the fact you take a couple sips in and they refill your drinks. The waitress is always making sure you're full, not empty. I appreciate that a lot. Ichiban is our favorite for their garlic noodles alone! Everything else is delicious though-- we order the steak hibachi dinner with perfectly medium cooked steak, with ginger salad, fried rice, garlic noodles and veggies. OMG BASIL FRIED RICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I ordered online and it was super simple, so first impression just off that I was impressed! I came across this place a month or so ago. I initially wanted to review this location after my first visit with my family, just decided that it would be better to wait until a second visit confirmed the deliciousness. So, I'm happy to say that this place was GREAT! The wait staff is courteous, the location is very clean and most importantly the food was outstanding. We had the Spider-Man roll and Happy Roll, they were both great. We had the hibachi noodles which were very tasty as well. If you're ever in the Chicago Ridge area and in search of delicious sushi stop in, you won't be disappointed. The place also offers all you can eat sushi. So come and make the most of it. read more

Food is good but service is terrible. I've gone here multiple times, and no matter what time of day you order, they take upwards of an hour to complete the order. Pickup times are always incorrect and when you call to inquire, the woman running the phone is incredibly rude. Absolutely delicious! It's hard finding Asian food that's good, fresh and authentic and located in the suburbs. Ichiban hits it out of the ballpark. I had the filet steak habachi grill with noodles and tempura chocolate ice cream. I was disappointed that they didn't have Kobe beef but the filet steak was very good. I asked for Miso soup as opposed to Clear soup. The Noodles were good but nothing to write home about. Of course you get an abundance of rice The steamed vegetables were good too. I am a sushi snob and I absolutely LOVE this place. All of their sushi is delicious and their service is great! We have also tried their orange chicken and crab ragoons, rice, noddles and everything is good! Eating in there is nice too. Great interior and awesome servers. Brought mom for a birthday lunch. For Appetizer we ordered a flavorful seaweed salad (large portion than expected) and edamame. I also ordered a small ginger salad which was flavorful. As I'm not currently eating rice, I opted for salmon hibachi lunch with no rice, extra veggies - salmon had a nice crunch on edges but soft on inside and veggies were cooked perfectly with a little crunch just how I like it! It came with a side of two sauces one of which was a creamy ginger sauce and the other tasted like it had fish sauce. The sauce on hibachi plate was more than enough - a little sweet for my taste but was still yum - so I didn't touch the two sauces on the side. Mom got a California roll which was pretty standard. When I can eat rice again, I would come back for the All-I-can-eat sushi lunch which is offered M-Sat! read more

This place is immaculate! I went there at 8pm, they closed at 9:30p and they still greeted (my boyfriend and myself) so kindly. Michelle and the owner Sherry waited on us. Hands down the best sushi in the area! The staff is super friendly and attentive. Their maki rolls easily have the best filling to rice ratio and everything is priced reasonably. Only downside is their booths, which have very flimsy backs. If someone is sitting behind you, the backrest is constantly shifting back and forth.
