Very disappointing consult experience. I knew I was a good candidate for the coolsculpting services because I had already been approved by another company. However, they were running a Black Friday sale so I thought I'd check it out. I scheduled a Zoom consult for later that day. I jumped on the zoom consult and quickly was told I could not do the service because I had a contraindication for the service. I knew this information was incorrect but the person insisted. After, I hung up the phone I checked the Product Information online and called two other companies and all of them verified that Ideal Image had informed me incorrectly about the contraindication. I called back to Ideal Image to report my confusion. I was told that it is an extra contraindication for their practice. I was correct that it isn't a contraindication from the product manufacturer. I'd think twice before doing business with a company that communicates this kind of misinformation to patients. read more

When I returned to the room, she asked me to lay down to start the Peel. She literally went around my face one time with the peel. I paid all the money for nothing. I didn't get any results. DO NOT spend a cent at Ideal Image. This company is a predatory, money-draining scam factory dressed up as a "medical spa." Their business practices are dishonest, their customer service is nonexistent, and their contracts are intentionally designed to trap you. I purchased laser hair removal and endured 16 extremely painful treatments -- and guess what? It did absolutely nothing. No improvement whatsoever. When I asked for a refund, they told me they would "submit a refund request" and that someone would follow up. No one ever did. I called back and was basically told there was nothing they could do and to deal with it. Completely unacceptable and unbelievably unprofessional. On top of that, I still have three BBL credits that I paid for. Their website has been broken for weeks, so you can't even book online. When I called to schedule, I was told: a) My credits expire in March, and b) There is currently no provider on staff qualified to administer BBL, and they don't expect to have one until sometime next year. So even if I wanted to use what I already paid for, it's literally impossible -- and because BBL treatments must be spaced at least 6+ weeks apart, there is no way I could complete the series before March even if someone magically appeared tomorrow. It's a setup designed to make credits expire unused so they can pocket the money. Again I asked for a refund and was told -- surprise -- they need to "submit another request," and shockingly, no one has followed up. After doing more research, I realized this isn't a rare situation -- there are massive numbers of complaints, refund disputes, and legal actions from customers who were scammed the exact same way. Go look at the Better Business Bureu page (https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/tampa/profile/medical-spa/ideal-image-0653-48001264/complaints) or search Ideal Image lawsuits; you'll see hundreds of identical stories. Taking as much money as possible upfront, 3. Stonewalling refund requests, and 4. And running out the clock so customers lose what they paid for. Interesting.... I'm at Ideal Image in Easton. I walk in first in front of a Caucasian woman. I check in and they ask me to have a seat. She checks in and they ask her would she like water or juice ... I said out loud (not too loud but loud enough to hear) " oh that was nice to offer you a beverage... I didn't get offered anything". I love Ideal Image for so many reasons. I started services in September and was very nervous about the procedures and side effects. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with kindness, professionalism and welcomed to ask questions. Each time I visit (10+ times since Sept. '22), they take the time to not only answer all of my questions (I have new ones every time), but also create and sustain a welcoming, body-positive space. The environment is comfortable, there's usually an amazing playlist playing over the speakers, and everyone is as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. I signed up August 21st. my first appointment was to be on August 30th. I had to cancel due to breaking my leg and without health insurance , it became an unnecessary expense. Out of work. I made repeated calls to no avail. I finally got someone and was told that since I signed the contract that I could not cancel the sessions only suspend them until I'll be able to use them. Of course my credit report was ran and I was "approved" for Fortiva retail. Ideal Image charged this card before the initial procedure was to be done. I didn't have any control with my leg. I thought they'd work with me. NOT. The only options that they'd willingly cancel 1) active military, 2) pregnant, 3) if I moved 60 miles away from any center. I am super frustrated with my phone interaction today with an employee when i tried to schedule an appointment. I have a contract which means I have an allotted amount of time to get as many appointments in as necessary to get results promised. I was told I would have no issues doing that. I schedule my appointments on sundays and have always schedule at previous appointment or 1+ month in advance. I was told at my last appointment in November that they couldn't schedule me another appointment until the new year. So, I call today, which is the first day they said I could schedule, and the next Sunday appointment is 2 months away they are all booked out. I am very frustrated at this point, and I voice that respectfully to her, because if you can't provide the services necessary and have availability then you should put people in a timed contract. So I book that appointment and I ask to book all of the remaining appointments. The women on the phone scoffs at me when I ask this, but why would I risk not being able to get this done. She repeatedly sighs and is disrespectful throughout the entirety of the call. For a luxury service that I have spent thousands of dollars upfront on this is ridiculous. Also, when I asked for clarifications of several things she wouldn't clarify and talked down to me. I specifically asked her to clarify, because I have been told completely opposite of what she has been telling me. I was previously told I need to come in every 4-6 weeks now she's saying 6-10. I was promised free touch ups for life now she's saying they charge (outrageous amounts/per area). Overall, get all your employees on the same page these are medical procedures they all have set guidelines make sure they all know the accurate ones. The Process can give you PAH. Which I got and it's been over a year since I had cool sculpting done. The fat is literately dead and stuck inside my body. The only way to get it out now is by liposuction which supposedly they will cover. I have been going through their process to get this done for over a month now and have had to call them the entire time and still nothing has been started in this process. I have been working out pretty hard since having cool sculpting done so now it looks weird. My body has thinned out and I have a large round hard mass of fat sticking out right in the middle. I would not recommend this for anyone. Especially for the price. I wish I never did it. I normally really like Ideal Image. I started with the one in Miami, FL when I lived there then transferred to the one here in Columbus when I moved. Miami was AMAZING, however over the last few appointments I have found myself becoming more and more frustrated with the Columbus location. I paid a lot of money to ensure I could make appointments, get my desired results, etc. I am rarely able to find an appointment that works. I have had to book appointments then when I need to change them because the date doesn't work, nobody answers me or the customer service reps just basically tell me they are not able to do anything. The ladies who work in the Columbus location are great but you should not accept more clients if you are unable to get to the clients you currently have! It is unbelievable. I have now missed multiple appointments because there were none available. read more

I want to start off by saying that every person I have worked with has been absolutely fantastic. My review mostly revolves around the price and the quality of work. I paid over $3,000 for bikini which was for unlimited sessions for a year, and guarantees full hair loss. I additionally paid for a lifetime guarantee if touch ups were ever required. I was told I was a great candidate based on my skin and hair color. The way the availability worked out, I was only able to come in every ten+ weeks, so I got less sessions throughout the year and Covid made the timings more difficult. I am now a few months post treatment and while the hair is mostly gone, there are still a decent amount that I need to shave. Most of these are thinner "baby" hairs, but there are a few others that were just entirely missed. The hair loss was significant at first and around my 4th session or so, I was told I only needed a touch up so not all areas were touched on, which I now realize has added to me not being entirely clean. Another note- keep in mind the additional you pay for a lifetime guarantee is more of an "insurance policy." You still have to pay extra to come in and have those specific areas touched on. The areas broken down are minimum $30, and you can get an entire procedure at other studios for $40. This being said- their guarantee is not really a guarantee. Go with the much less expensive other options and companies now available. Even if it takes a few more sessions and touch ups, you'll be saving thousands. read more

Let me start by saying that nearly every individual that I encountered that worked there was fantastic; nice, courteous and welcoming. There may be some services in which Ideal Image very much excels outside of the services I received. That being said, my issue is the concept of the laser hair removal treatments. The idea/sell for the laser treatments, is that it's removal (removal defined as "the action of taking away or abolishing something unwanted."); it's all over their branding, advertisements, and website. The way the treatments should be described/labeled is laser hair reduction (reduction defined as "the action or fact of making a specified thing smaller or less in amount, degree, or size."). I went through the process having the hair on my upper lip lasered off; I noticed after treatment 7 that I really wasn't experiencing much in the way of removal that I anticipated given I was expecting "removal". They tell you the first 5 are the standard amount of treatments, and the 4 after that are all maintenance (which they stress you must do in order to maintain the "lifetime warranty"). When I got to treatment 9, the nurse took photos prior to treatment and submitted a request for 2 additional treatments, which required approval from their head office. I received permission for 2 additional treatments, and thus had 11 total. At my 11th treatment, I was concerned with the amount of hair I still had, and was told that they can only guarantee reduction, and there is obviously reduction so it pretty much is what it is, I only can achieve reduction, not removal. I'm sure I signed something acknowledging that they can't guarantee 100% removal, but the way it was verbally sold to me when I signed up/put down a deposit was that I could experience more than I received. There may be individuals that experience 100% removal, but if I had to guess, it's not the norm. It's good to note as well that their site is contradictory and reflects this issue. "You'll save time, money, and you'll save yourself from a lifetime of shaving. Seriously. Our medical and nursing professionals have mastered the process of laser hair removal and stand behind it as one of the best ways to get rid of that hair for good." Later, on that same page of their website, it notes "Finishing the entire series of treatments is crucial, as that ensures that you see the highest degree of permanent hair reduction." The site contradicts itself, and though they make sure the site contains the mention of "reduction" it is not how they brand and advertise. They say removal one place, reduction another. I spent a lot of money on hair "reduction" but if I want to do something about the hairs that are still there, I'm still either going to have to bleach, shave, wax or Nair the hair, which is the exact same time and money commitment as before the laser treatments. I could go in and pay $35 a treatment for additional laser sessions, but that doesn't make any fiscal sense given the price of a razor/bleach/Nair/waxing etc. It's also ridiculous that it's the same amount of money for an additional treatment on the upper lip as it is for say, both legs. read more

I have had 3 treatments for facial hair removal & am over the moon. I see that a lot of the reviews complain that there is still hair after they have completed their 9 treatments. When you go in for your consult they explain how the laser effects the hair. The do not promise removal, this process thins & lightens the hair. And that is what has happened to me, baby hairs instead of black wire coming out of my face. I was worried with the price but it is worth every penny. Also, nice that their are many locations in the US since I will be moving out of state soon. Everyone I have meet is so nice. If you are looking for the appearance of your dark corse hair to go away this is totally worth it. read more

Very expensive on cool sculpting. Had initial treatments with BBL and Botox two years ago. People were friendly and bent over backwards to accommodate all my treatments in a timely manner. Fast forward to 2020. Now you can't make your next appointment while you're there... for whatever reason. Said calendar not available?????? Doesn't sound right to me. Then I got put on a waitlist for my next appointment so that what should have been repeated in four weeks turned into almost seven weeks. I am writing this review at the beginning of my treatment cycle, there may be updates as my experience with them continues. I suffer from a medical condition that causes hair growth on my neck, chin and face. I have attempted laser hair removal in the past, and it was a painful experience that required three weeks of recovery before my skin looked normal again, and it was ultimately ineffectual. I decided to give it another try, as technology has advanced since then. I was very impressed with the Ideal Image staff. They were a little appalled at how my previous treatments had been conducted - apparently they were administered much too close together, and I should not have experienced the painful burns and inflammation that I did. I had my first treatment immediately. It was less painful than my prior experience, and I experienced nothing but some mild redness for a few hours. I was told they'd give me some facial products to try. Okay, I thought, some samples. Oh no. I got about ten full sized containers of extremely high-end, expensive facial care products. Of course, I'm aware that the hope is that I'll get hooked on them and purchase them from Ideal Image, but even so, it was a very generous bag of goodies. And it might be working, because at least two of the products have been very effective. Make no mistake - treatments aren't cheap. But a monthly no-interest payment can be arranged, and I benefited from a summer special. It's two weeks and a bit since my first treatment and I've seen about a 75% reduction in hair. I'm thrilled with my results so far, and with another 8 treatments to go, I'm feeling very positive about this procedure. read more

I'm writing this review after I've received all of my treatments - 9 on each area. I had my bikini, underarms and full legs treated. None of these areas have achieved full hair removal (which you'll note is something that another reviewer mentions, reduction v. removal. What they sell you in that room is removal, "Don't you want to never shave again?!" and then what the company adheres to seems to be, "But haven't you seen a reduction? That's our service). In full transparency I received a 'deal' - 60% off all areas, I financed it using their financing options and the total was just about $8,500. For this amount of money and the pitch from the salesperson I expected HAIR REMOVAL. The catch is you then get signed up for their lifetime package, which means I can go back and have each area treated for at least another $100/area. Joy. More money. Also this should have been a HUGE red flag, that buying into their top tier service doesn't guarantee results, it just means you'll have to keep spending your money. The women performing the treatments at the location were great - the company's practices and the sales person left so much to be desired. I feel like a complete dolt for having paid so much money to have results that have ended with my need to shave still - every.single.day. I would recommend doing better research, asking more questions, and perhaps just realizing that if you don't get the results you want to be prepared to move on. read more

I went to idea image to get lazar hair removal on my face about 2 years ago. At the time, the lady doing it decided I didnt need my last appointment so I trusted her. A couple weeks later, I noticed some hairs left, but just used an eyebrow razor to get rid of them. Over time, the number of hairs I see has escalated extremely. I feel like I completely wasted my money and I'm very disappointed. I'm using my lifetime membership to pay another $100 to see if they can fix this. If it's not gone after this session, I'll be so mad because what is the point if I'm having to tend to these hairs again?! read more

I recently had Coolsculpting done at Ideal Image Columbus. I've had some fatty areas around my midsection that have never responded to diet or exercise (and I've been trying for YEARS), but I've been really pleased with the results I've noticed at about six weeks after the procedure was done (they say to wait about 3 months for the best results). I'm really happy that I was able to achieve this without the risks of liposuction and the accompanying anesthesia, even if it requires a little bit of patience to see results. Everyone at the center was very professional and friendly and went out of their way to make me comfortable. I would recommend this particular procedure for those who are in generally good shape but have stubborn areas that don't respond to dieting or even cardio (as was the case with me). read more
