I stopped by and asked if they had a chance to look/had an estimate ready. The man working/owner Clarke didn't even know my car was there. They did not have an estimate ready either. He told me my car was totalled but wouldn't give me any details. He then turned to the next person to have a personal discussion in the middle of this. I had to interrupt to ask again for an estimate or any information for that matter. He let his own personal experiences with insurance companies dictate how I was treated. He told me he doesn't need my business and shooed me away like a fly. He also told me that he refuses to call insurance companies back because he feels it's an "insult to his intelligence" on pricing. If you have Progressive, steer clear. I will say his wife, Kathy, who was also working the office at the time, was very nice and helpful and did apologize on his behalf. Just this year they have also rebuilt the C6 in a 77 F150 2WD and the transmission and transfer case in my 78 Bronco 4X4. I really appreciate them taking care of my classics, but they've also done the transmissions in my Ranger 4x4, Cadillac STS4, Charger RT AWD and more. They have also done brakes, air conditioning, etc. for us. No one wants the expense of a car repair but when I pay for my repair, I feel I've gotten great value and it always comes with amazing customer service. Did I mention that I go out of my way to use them? I live at least 45 minutes away and when I've been stranded, I've had vehicles towed long distances just so I'd have the piece of mind that comes from doing business with someone I trust.
