The sandwich wasn't huge so it was a perfect amount for breakfast. We sat inside - it's very cute - with a market and to go as well as the tables. Food comes up fast and is really reasonably priced! The chicken was perfectly fried - not greasy - and the hot honey was a nice touch (and thankfully, not too hot). Good bathrooms and lots of tasty looking items in the refrigerated cases (including various types of seafood to cook).

I decided on a grits bowl . I was shocked at ghe size of the bowl when it was delivered a short while later. Huge is an understatement. The grits were well done, the bacon plentiful and lots of cheese. I could only finish about half of it. Really nice dish I will get again. There's not a lot of tables, and it would be hard for a large group but even if you have to wait for a table, it is worth the wait! I will return!

We were told that it would be about an hour and a half for a table we were ok with that and put our name on the list. I would say it took about an hour for a table. Our server immediately came to the table to ask for our drink orders so we thought we were off to a great start. She also took our food orders rather quickly. However, after that she pretty much disappeared on us. She never once came by to ask if we needed any more mimosas or refills on our waters. She didn't even let us know that the kitchen was backed up. We had to ask the hostess to look for her as it had been 45 minutes after ordering and we had no sign of her. She was outside texting. She then came by and said it's a holiday weekend it's going to be busy and then walked away. Our food was delish and we really liked what we ordered but by the time we got it we had been at the restaurant for at least an hour after ordering. I had the breakfast sandwich that was basically like a bacon and and cheese with tomato on a sandwich with cheesy grits on the side. We waved her down to close out and left right after we finished eating. Server was not friendly or attentive.

(Cue a nonchalant shrug, arrogant smirk, and a "I dunno," as though it's preposterous that a patron may be curious as to policy during a pandemic.) He also was not wearing a mask, despite the girl at the counter wearing one the entire time. In sum, great concept with a fantastic clerk....but the leadership needs some work.

The wonton chips are a treat unto themselves, having great wonton flavor. However, when you combine it with the dip, it really takes it over the top. Highly recommend. For my entree, I had their Cajun Alfredo pasta. It is linguine served in a "Cajun-spiced Alfredo sauce". It is "served with tasso and smoked sausage", and you can choose to have it with either chicken or wild GA shrimp. In either case, once again, they do not skimp . You get a heaping portion of either chicken or shrimp, and the sauce is very tasty. It is just as described, an Alfredo sauce with a little Cajun flavor, though it is not spicy. It is served with no sides, but no sides are necessary as it is a hearty portion all by itself. Very delicious. The most impressive thing that I saw is that the owner is very hands-on. They have these new-fangled mobile electronic lamps, and the owner came by and noticed that ours wasn't quite working. He replaced it immediately himself. He was very friendly and chatted us up. He also went around and was serving and clearing tables himself. It seems that if you eat here, there's a strong possibility that you could end up meeting the owner! Meeting him was a very nice touch. The only thing that I had a hard time with here was choosing a dish because everything looked so good on the menu! Delicious food and great service. Sooo good. The burger was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and everything you want from a smash-style burger. The truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade--crispy, indulgent, and hard to stop eating. Overall, a great first dinner experience post-renovation. We're excited to come back and try more of the dinner menu. Highly recommend checking it out!

This is not in my top five on Ssi but I'm glad we tried it.

Roughly 8-9 tables of 4 inside along the wall, 7-8 spots at the counter & 5 tables of 4 outside which has coverage from the sun as well as 6-7 chairs on the side walk area that you can enjoy and adult beverage. During the Winter they have 4 heaters outside nicely spaced to keep you warm on cool evenings. The service was excellent. Sam our waiter/server was attentive and refilled drinks as well as made some recommendations. I had the Black & Blue Wagyu burger w/cucumber salad. The burger was very juicy with burger sauce (mayo, ketchup & mustard combined), tomato, lettuce and bacon. Excellent!! My friend had the Shrimp Po-boy also with cucumber salad. The shrimp were fried and placed into a French roll with Tatar sauce as well as lettuce and tomato. He said the shrimp were hot and were cooked perfectly. The cucumber salad is a cream type salad with ample amount of cucumber slices and dill. If you live on or are visiting St. Simons Island, this is an excellent spot to try. The menu has a good variety of food items to select from as well as various sides & beverage choices from coffees to iced tea/soda to wines & crafted cocktails. Bon appetite'!
