This is an underrated restaurant and my family had a great dinner experience on a weeknight. Food: They offer a great value for dinner, serving large portions and a variety of entrees (from breakfast to dinner). The best part is that kid's entrees are free with purchase of adult meals. My favorite item was the hash-browns and pancake with butter. Service: The restaurant was not busy on a weeknight and we were seated immediately. We ordered and had our meals served very quickly. Our entire dinner experience was one hour tops. Our waitress was attentive and checked up on us frequently. The food was really good but the service was not. We had one guy put his hand up at us when we tried to wave him down for water. Also if the table asks for water, don't only give it to one person. Keeping in mind this is an IHOP, I had a nice breakfast here that my niece chose as her first meal of the day on her birthday! I hadn't been to an IHOP in forever, so I went with a classic 2x2x2 with eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. The pancakes tasted great and we all enjoyed our breakfast. This is my second visit here, and each time I was pleasantly surprised. For an IHOP, this is as good as it gets. My family and I left happy and full both times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's your typically busy breakfast diner ambiance, but it was much cleaner than other breakfast diners I've been to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was faster and friendlier than Twenty 88 (a higher end restaurant across the 101), at 1/4 of the cost of the higher end restaurant. Each time our food was out in good time, with everything being right the first time. Having worked at an IHOP as a busboy in high school, my favorite breakfast was the Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity. I asked the server what would be the closest to that since it's no longer on the menu and each time they knew, the 2 pancake breakfast with strawberries and whipped cream. I kept the bananas on there the second time around since technically it's the strawberry banana 2 pancake breakfast, which I liked even more than the strawberries alone. The coffee is where they lose points. It's weak coffee with packet creamers. It would be nice if they at least brought out some real milk or cream but this is a breakfast diner after all so it's to be expected. My kid's go-to is chocolate, so the chocolate chip pancake with a smiley face made of whipped cream was a hit for him. I took a bite and approved as well. His friend opted for the 5 silver dollar pancakes, which she liked and finished up. While my Mrs went with the berry crepes, an epic fail. The crepes taste like pig intestines. They were slimy greasy tasting things, not your typical crepes, so she just picked off the fruit after choking down a couple bites. This place was a lifesaver when our power was out for 2 days due to the fires. I'll be sure to return for another 2 pancake breakfast without the Mrs since she wasn't a fan either time, but my kid and I loved it. Every time we go, no matter how busy we get the best customer service. Never a long wait either. But the best part is the food. The Mexican food plates are crazy good. My family comes here because we love the French toast, but the service simply is terrible. I had to flag my waitress down several times and when it's time to pay they pass you the iPad with the highest tip possible. I don't mind tipping high but I will not tip high for mediocre service. A guy that was cleaning up the restaurant checked on me before my waitress did. Very disappointing and the only time I'll actually patronize is for Veterans Day where the food is free because the service sucksssss!!!!!! read more

Came in Monday morning 11/27/23 @ 9am. Pretty busy, aerobics was good and food was fast and delicious. I ordered some strawberry banana pancakes and they were amazing. Coffee is always good. Bus boy was great at getting us waters and coffee. Ambiance was a little loud but not too bad for our 2 month old baby. He was able to fall asleep in his car seats. ; stars because I feel like prices are a little out of hand. Recently changed a few items, the salmon is surprisingly good as is the Salisbury steak dinner. I would ask for no salt if possible, food can be a tad bit salty if you don't ask for no salt during the cooking process. Last Sunday after church we went to IHOP because the lines were just ridiculous at the other restaurants. There was still a line at IHOP, but we were able to squeeze in because there were two of us. I must say the service was excellent! We were cold, because the, air conditioning was blowing on us and they turned it down for us. The food was actually really good. The only issue was all of the babies and small children. I really wish they would have a family with young kids section and a none little kid section. read more
