These people were overwhelmed when we got there and we added to the mess they already had to deal with. Poor things were understaffed and we came in with 13 people. 13 people at like 9:45. Jordan and Ashlen were the servers we had. Bless them because were were all over the place and they got us our drinks very quickly and didn't leave any of our needs hanging in the air for more than 3 minutes. I don't get the low reviews here so I had to post my own. Hubby and I were exhausted and hungry and they were open... we ordered (I ordered an omelet at the suggestion of my waitress Heather who was the bomb btw...). They were HUGE and SO good. Two giant omelets (covered the whole plate and three-4 inches thick!!). Plus pancakes as a side... with drinks we didn't even hit 30 dollars and it was ALOT of food. It was clean, tasty, great service. We will be back! We had one issue with a large party getting way too loud (we couldn't hear each other talk facing each other they were so loud) but manager talked to them and it was recitified fast. Even the bathrooms were clean. I wish I'd taken a picture of our food because it was so good you wouldn't believe me. The Colorado omelet has shredded beef on top and it was seasoned well and tender. I've been a fan of IHOP's food for a very long time, but this location is an atrocity. We came hungry and left disgruntled, disappointed and even hungrier. Ironically, my fiancé and I had to deliberate heavily about whether or not we were going to give this location another chance, because the last time we went was almost the last time. But we're understanding people. We realize that servers can be stressed, over-worked, under-staffed and that things can simply go wrong every now and then because that's just how life is. Unfortunately I think that years ago, the training manual used by every other IHOP in the world was secreted out of the Wilma Rudolph location in the middle of the night by the jilted lover of the manager and replaced with one that ensures egregiously bad training and hiring practices with the hopes of ending careers and just generally pissing everyone off. More than likely though, nobody is even reading the freaking manual. The first time we went there, we were seated promptly enough. It was extremely busy on that day, so we weren't surprised that it took a little bit (like 20 minutes) for our order to be taken. It was Saturday morning after all, and people were jam-packed in every booth. After that however, things quickly went downhill. The server asked us what we wanted to drink, but the drinks just never came. One would wonder they had to plant, grow, harvest and squeeze the oranges and milk the cows for our drinks. We waited for so long that I seriously began to consider filling our son's empty sippy cup in the bathroom sink, but that may have resulted in a water-borne illness because the bathrooms were filthy. More on that later! Eventually the drinks came out with our silverware. The glasses were dirty and my spoon had a piece of food on it, so I asked for new silverware. We decided to take our chances with the spotty glasses instead of possibly waiting for another 45 minutes for our drinks. The silverware never came; I had to steal a roll and some napkins from the server's station. The food was okay, but the wait...oh my god, the wait. After our order was taken, it took an hour for it to come. Again: the place was busy and as a former server I understand, but it isn't like this was a Great-Depression Era food line with us at the very back. I almost think that the service there would have been better than this. And the bathrooms. Sweet mother of.... There was wet toilet paper on the floor and puddles. Puddles everywhere. I know that at least some of those weren't water (Who pees on the floor at an IHop?? In the women's restroom? OUTSIDE OF THE STALL??) There was also poop on the floor. It wasn't a whole lot, but even a small marble-sized dollop is not okay. At least I found one toilet that was flushed and didn't look like instant hepatitis, so that was positive I guess. We didn't go back for quite a long time. I'm thinking that for over a year and a half we stuck to the Madison St. location (which is always clean and the service is normally great). But we moved to this end of town, our favorite IHop is now a good 25 minutes away, and we thought "You know what? Let's give these guys another chance". So we did. The couple right in front of us were seated right away by the hostess, who then disappeared after that. We waited, waited, waited.... Still no hostess. After 10 minutes she returned, seated us, and gave us our menus. And again we waited, waited, and waited...No server came to offer us anything to drink or even introduce herself for about 20 minutes. This was on a Sunday evening, so it's not like they were busy! I wondered if they were binge-watching "Stranger Things" in the back or if maybe they had trapped themselves in the meat-freezer, but we weren't about to repeat the mistakes of waiting an hour for our food like we did last time and we left. My apologies for this terrible review if everyone did indeed perish in a meat-freezer. read more

Had a bad time. Service was horrendously slow and by the time we got our food it was either stale, cold, or not what we ordered entirely. The waitress was, I'm guessing, in training or otherwise unfit to be a server. We got no refills and were given small ketchup packets after asking for a bottle. ordered online 20m prior to arriving only to be told they're still working on it, which is fine . 30m later, i'm told there were no more biscuits & that it would be a 15m wait longer because they were gonna sub the biscuit with toast ?? How are y'all promoting biscuit sandwiches with no biscuits & why did it take 30m (after i arrived) for me to be told there were no biscuits .. How are you going to sell a BLT (bacon, lettuce, and tomato) sandwich when you are out of tomatoes? We weren't told that they were out of tomatoes until after our food had arrived. I had to walk up to the cook area and tell the waiter there were no tomatoes in it. The waiter at least tried to rectify the situation by bringing us a tiny cup of diced tomatoes. This was the worst experience that I've had at an IHOP. The server was great but the food was well below standard. The eggs (not shelled eggs either) were overcooked. Two people in our party didn't get their food until we had already finished our meals. Once they did, part of their meal was cold. Manager did comp the kids meal plus gave us all a 20% discount. I used to go here a lot when my bf was in the Army still. This Ihop was pretty good. The line to get a seat was usually pretty long. It is in a military town so it was quite busy all the time, and it seemed to be one of the only breakfast places around. Since my last posting, the food has improved and the steak tips were very good. However, I'm leaving the one star for terrible service and cold food. In a party of seven, half the meals were cold (hot sandwich, two omelettes, and a pancake special). We requested hot syrup for the pancakes while ordering. One of the hot meals got cold while waiting for the hot syrup (had to ask two times to get it). 10 mins after being served we got the hot syrup which was only lukewarm. But that's ok, they got the order wrong on another meal and that person didn't get their food until after ALL six remaining people were completely through eating. Awful. read more

I don't get it. When they first opened, this place used to be good. We moved to another state for a few years. Upon returning, we decided to go out for pancakes and it was just awful! The original staff had such pride. We actually had a regular server that we favorited. Now you can hear the servers yelling at each other, yelling at the cooks and being rude to the patrons. The pancakes fall apart. No joke. How can you be named International House of PANCAKES and fu*k up PANCAKES?! It just doesn't make sense. I give IHOP props for even being open on Christmas in the first place. It was busy when we arrived but we only waited 5 minutes to be seated. The food was pretty decent. I got Bacon cheeseburger with fries. Kinda skimpy with the fries but I didn't really mind. Burger was OK Bacon could have been cook a little longer since outer edges was still pretty fatty. Edges of my lettuce was a little shrivelled up but I don't ever eat it any ways. I have to give one star or I couldn't leave a review. Last night around 730 while watching TV a Denny's commercial came on showing there 4th of July pancake special. Asked the wife if she wanted to get pancakes at IHOP? Got to IHOP at 815PM the place wasn't very busy cause the parking lot had 3 cars in it. We went in and there was I booth being served and 5 dirty tables that hadn't been bused yet. Two waitresses in the coffee well doing something. The guy cooking said, we'll be with you in a minute. About 5 minutes later this pregnant lady walks up and says, just so you know it will be a 30 minute wait time to be seated. Now the restaurant is 98% empty only one table is being used. Then she said we don't have a cook. I was watching the cook in the back cooking. When when we turned to leave she did say, have a nice evening. Once outside I turned around to see the 3 females laughing while we walked away. STAY AWAY FROM THE PLACE. Called the next morning to speak to a manager but nobody answered the phone. I can't understand why a restaurant would turn away paying customers like this. Unless they didn't want to work but still wanted the hourly pay. read more
