I have never had anything short of superb service from this IHOP. (we consistently end up tipping 30-40%) I am not one to care about pancakes, but I really like that they have a 600 calorie and under menu. Too many places do not have any clearly marked "healthy options" and it is nice to see that places are jumping on board. I have tried several of the new healthy options and I did not feel like I was sacrificing anything to eat better! Bravo, IHOP! read more

This IHOP is just like every other IHOP in the country: long waits, small dining area, average quality good.

Food is always on point here. Had the omelette sandwich with onion rings and bacon on the side. Came out just as I hoped. 2 people under $30...can't beat that. read more

Dirty and just all around gross. Last time my daughter and I ate there my plate was still dirty from the last person who ate off it. My daughter and I use to eat there once a month. Twice after we ate later that night my daughter got sick, although I can't prove it was the food but she was fine before that. The food is nasty they don't cook it right. The bacon you can't even eat it's so nasty and hard to chew. Nothing is clean the tables are dirty the seats are. Please I know IHOP is a great restaurant but please don't go to the Cockeysville one. My wife and I regularly stop in this IHOP for various meals (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) and have NEVER had a bad experience. The staff are ALL hard working and quick to serve and the food is well prepared and nicely presented. The prices are low for what you are given. Very crowded at times, but they do their best to get you seated and served quickly in any case. read more

This place is a joke! They have their water and tea in pitches on the counters and in the sink sitting in ice. I ordered a raspberry tea this afternoon and the cup it came in had fresh hot pink lipstick on it! Ewww that's so gross! Pretty standard IHOP, usual menu, clean like any major chain, busy on a Sunday noontime. Hostess very snotty about giving away a table for a large party that isn't yet complete. The policy is understandable and common in the industry, but she delivered a lecture about it in a very snotty attitude. "Next time Meade sure you're all here when you say you will be!" Walked in to the service area by the door. Only to witness staff being verbally abused by manager or owner. Food was cold. Service was slow and the server looked unkept. We sent food back and it wasn't hot again. No offer to be removed from bill . No manager came to address our concerns. It was filthy. Very unprofessional atmosphere. read more

This ihop is close to my house. My sister is in town and she wanted pumpkin pancakes and I hop has them and the picture looks great. I have not been in this place for years and nothing has changed in that the food was tasty but cold or room temperature. Obviously made a batch of pancakes and not sitting there for hours. Not hit snd fluffy but limp and old snd tough. Toast was cold. Again something that sat for hours. Bacon cold, ham, room temp snd sausage too. My duster snd I split the big breakfast. Less then satisfying. Are ir but it will be a cold day in hell before go bsck. My husband pancakes were cold. Insult to injury looked at the bill snd there is 2.29 charge for speciality pancakes that the waitress failed to mention. So 5.00 extra for those left over pancakes. The owner does not give a damn. I told him and it was a so what look. He does not care because people keep coming back or new people come in snd never come back. Every time I have gone I had similar experiences. Should not have to say I want my hot breakfast hot. Even if they had food in warming containers like at buffets it would be better. The owner just does not care. It is small place and not changed in years. The problem is corporate does not care either. The dollars are coming in. Should have gone to another place and will spread the word STAYAWAY. Did not go to the bathroom. The place looked clean. I told the owner about the meal and he did not care. Another thing the combos are just a convenience in ordering. The price is the same if order ala carte. I asked him about the combo pumpkin pictured as it was not on the menu as to the price. He did a check by doing the alacarte and gave me the price. He did not know. The place is poorly run. The waitress was nice and split the meal but unfortunatrly did not r joy it and looking for something. Total disappointment. The waitress was rude and clearly didn't want to be there, the toast was just bread, there was a dead fly at the table, the eggs were literally soaking wet with butter, and it all around was just really bad. There was literally a dead fly on the table that got so close to my toast I couldn't eat it, but at this point I didn't even bother asking for more because I knew the waitress would be rude. I've always been satisfied with the food and service. The restaurant is extremely small, however, and seating is very limited. Tables turn over quickly, but there is almost always a line out the front door. read more

This location boasts good, consistent food and excellent service. The couple who owns it are hands-on involved in the effort on a daily basis and really care about the customers' experience. It seems like a small thing, but the scrambled eggs (as prepared by James, particularly) are light and truly outstanding. I'm commenting on the Loch Raven Ihop. My husband, my service dog and me went to Ihop last Saturday May 26, 2018 around 2pm. When we arrived the servers were friendly but looked shocked when they saw my dog. They were kind of stuttering and not knowing what to say. As someone came by I said there will be "2". The server said, you mean "2, as in you two people, or two and half like you two and the dog?" I was like, "all of us, of course." So she says "hold on" and leaves for several minutes to the back. In the meantime people who came in after us were promptly seated. When she came back she said she would seat us, but added, "I'm going to have to set you in the back away from everyone so you don't bother anybody." Obviously, she meant because of my service dog. My husband didn't want me to make a fuss in the moment, but I can't just not say anything at all. This is discrimination as explicitly named in ADA law. ADA law prohibits a disabled person to be segregated from the other patrons of a business due to their service dog. That is illegal. It is civil law, just like civil laws to protect other minorities too -- whether disabled, different races, and all other minority groups. I expect this restaurant to become familiarized with ADA law so they will stop discriminating against minorities. If they do not contact me to set this straight and let me know how they are going to educate their employees including management, I will be contacting the DOJ regarding this matter. There was also another patron of the restaurant who came up to us in the parking lot, and she was very upset for us because of how we were treated. At this time I would recommend individuals with service dogs to NOT go to this Ihop. Find a place that won't discriminate. read more

Rude, rude, rude! My bestfriend, her son and I went to this location for brunch. I, a lover of food and new things ordered something that I never tried before. When it came to my table it looked great. Tried two bites and concluded the flavored were not for me. I told my waitress and immediately she got defense and asked what I didn't like. I advised it just didn't taste good to me and I would like to substitute like I have at other restaurants in the past with no issue. She said that because I just didn't like it they would replace it. She then went and spoke to the manager. The manager then came over. She asked what was wrong and I explained the same situation to her. The manager then started laughing looked at my bestfriend and said " who buys things they never had before and don't like". My bestfriend then jumped to my defense and instantly said " well everyone try's new things and normally there is no issue with a substitute." Needless to say they replaced it because we threatened to leave. Never had such hastle in my life. read more
