My boyfriend and I ordered curbside pickup from this IHOP on New Year's Day hoping for an easy, relaxed brunch since we were both off work. Unfortunately, it was anything but. We placed our order around midday and arrived less than 30 minutes later, expecting it to be ready or close to ready. Instead, we waited over an hour total for our food. There were also multiple people inside the restaurant who had clearly been waiting a very long time, along with other pickup customers standing around just as confused and frustrated. While it was somewhat busy, it did not seem busy enough to justify hour-plus wait times across the board. What made it worse was the lack of communication or apology -- no updates, no acknowledgment of the delay, nothing to make customers feel heard. To top it off, once we finally got home, my order was incorrect, which made the long wait even more frustrating. We also only received one small container of syrup, which feels a little absurd for an IHOP order. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience, especially for what was supposed to be a simple New Year's Day brunch. We've never had an issue like this at other IHOP locations, but sadly we won't be returning to this one. read more

Sat down with the group, place wasn't too busy. Got taken care of right away, no waiting around or getting ignored. Service was solid the whole time, didn't have to ask twice for anything. I went with the chicken florentine crepes--way too much spinach and sauce, barely any chicken. It felt more like a spinach wrap pretending to be breakfast. My wife's plate looked better. She had the quick two egg breakfast with a waffle, nothing wild but everything came out right. Eggs were cooked how she asked, waffle was golden and soft. Other two in the group got the Colorado omelette and French toast. Omelette was loaded, looked heavy but they were into it. French toast hit all the marks--sweet, soft, solid IHOP comfort food. IHOP was okay overall. The ambience was decent--nothing particularly special, but it was comfortable enough for a casual meal. The food tasted fine and was pretty much what you'd expect, but the wait time was longer than it should have been. Our food took a while to come out, which was frustrating, especially since it didn't seem overly busy. Once it arrived, everything was fine, but the slow service definitely affected the experience. Not a bad spot if you're not in a rush, but the service speed could definitely be better. read more

In the area picking up a Father's Day gift at home Depot nearby we decided to stop in for a quick lunch. It was also Father's Day. Surprisingly the establishment wasn't busy. There were maybe 4 groups of patrons already seated. No host at the front and a lady that walked by did tell us someone would be with us but it took a few minutes longer than we're used to at any IHOP. Our server was nice enough, though we were getting weird vibes throughout that made me kinda want to leave. We ordered our appetizers and drinks first since we still needed to look at the menu. It took almost 30 minutes for us to put in our food order because our server, seemed like, deliberately ignored our table. I mean back always facing us even when walking by our table, ignoring us. It was not busy so I couldn't understand why. Once we put in our order and got our food everything was hot and tasty. I did receive ranch with my salad instead of vinaigrette and a pretty decent chunk of cabbage stalk. Nothing to fret about, I just ate my salad with the ranch and put the stalk to the side. We also ordered my boys two of the firecracker drinks, that we've ordered before somewhere else, and they were not made correctly but on a positive note, less sugar for the kiddos! Upon walking into this establishment I was welcomed with a warm greeting and smiles from multiple employees. They had recently decorated for the holidays which made our experience even better. I had questions about allergies (gluten) my server immediately got her manager to come to our table to reassure our decisions and answer any other questions. The pancakes are really good, but my steak tasted like liver with a sweet sauce. Even the texture was like liver. I'm not a fan of wasting money, but I definitely wasted money the night I ate here. The bacon was very light, as if it were heated in a microwave for 2 seconds. I didn't order a drink for myself, as I only drink spring water when out (left my bottle at home). The waitress must have thought that I was broke because she said "oh you don't want anything to drink, we have water and it's free." She kept saying things like that throughout the night and I couldn't help, but wonder, if it's because I'm Black. I love this Ihop! We always have great servers that serve us. Tonight was no different. Michael was our server who was training Mikala. He was very professional and provided great service for us tonight! Its refreshing to see professional servers training new hires, because thats how you create a community of effective employees. We were lucky to have two servers. Michael was very knowlegable with the menu, offered suggestions, and even gave us a military discount. Like he just has those "people skills" and he just "get it." Can't believe this place has a 3 star rating. We had a 6 stars experience with our rock star waitress Tami. Show 'em how its done! Even though everyone else wanted lunch I really wanted breakfast and I brow beat everyone into getting breakfast with me! Ha...it's the Hogwarts way! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lovely hostess who seated us immediately. Tami, our waitress was on the ball and brought out coffee immediately while we picked at our menu. While we were waiting for our order she notice we didn't have any ketchup and hot syrup at our table and brought it out without us even asking for it...super service. I got their new Count of Monte Cristo wrap which is basically a french toast wrapped in ham, egg and cheese. It was super filling and flavorful. Everything was A++ after breakfast and coffee I used the loo and it was super clean...definitely better than any of the IHops near where I live...will be back soon! read more

This is our second time ordering ihop to-go from this location and will certainly not be the last! The order is always right, food is always good, and we always eat way too much!! lol We get the country omelette, Colorado omelette, chocolate pancakes (buttermilk with chocolate chips inside AND on top), Rooty Tooty strawberry pancakes, double blueberry pancakes, and the egg-white veggie omelette. Five stars to all the food!!! The only reason I can't give 5 stars to the whole place is because (in regards to to-go orders) they always tell us the order will be ready in 10 minutes, but it never is. I'll arrive 10-12mins after placing the order and have to wait another 10-15mins before it's ready....but the order is always correct and food is great! read more

They have become a staple stop for us when we travel and even when just running out for something at home. We came into the Dawsonville Ihop for dinner on a weeknight and were seated immediately at a clean, comfortable table. Our server was starting her shift and came over to offer us beverages. She took our food order and was not flustered with my wife's special dietary needs. Our meals were served fresh and hot within a few minutes of our placing our order. I walked to the back and went into the restroom to wash my hands after ordering and found the bathrooms to be in excellent condition and very clean. They were also fully stocked with towels and soap. The food is delicious, our Steak sandwich was prepared to our specifications and order. Our server brought us our check as we finished our meal and had us ready to be back out the door quickly so we could enjoy our evening. We stopped by for breakfast on a non-busy Saturday morning. I got the two, two, two for $5. It was very good. My husband got a Colorado omelet that was enormous. The food was very good, hot and abundant. Our server was Yesenia and she was a very sweet, meek and polite/accomidating server. I rate according to how many times I have to request the same additional thing, ie more napkins, more butter etc. She was on her game. Never had to repeat a thing. You need a whole restaurant full of Yesenias. She will be 90% of the reason for our return visit. Way to go girl! read more

This ihop we use to go to but never will again. We have tried several tried over the past couple of weeks to eat there but have not been able to do so due to poor training and management. This first time we tried to eat there there was a wait and we said it was okay and gave our number and went to wait in the car where it was more comfortable since it was cold out and crowded inside. Well let's say table after table got sat and our table never appeared and we never got the text. We got lost and it was not made right so we left after an hour. Today we tried again and a table of six ahead of us was the name put on the wait list and then us. Other people came in after us and we sat for 30 mins and watched them get sat and I even spoke up and said there is a waiting list one one table walked up and a table walked Ilin and got sat right away when a new host clocked in and didn't bother to check and with the current host what was going on even though there were multiple people sitting waiting. The host didn't write the wait list names in order and was randomly just picking names to be sat for she couldn't recall the order. I asked for a manger and raised my concerns to be told the hosts were new and the restaurant gets busy. Only excuses, no looking into it and I mentioned if the hosts are new they may need supervision and training and not left alone up front. She just nodded and didn't say anything. Needless to say I won't go back to this location since we can no longer get sat to get a table to have a meal here. My suggestion is to eat anywhere else but here. read more

I come to this location quite often, and I must say that I have never been let down. As a die hard pancake lover and con-issuer I can tell you this restaurant is consistent with delicious fluffy pancakes every time. I came in February for their all you can eat pancakes, and set the restaurant record of 30 pancakes plus the combo meal that came with it. The waiter I had on that occasion was Johnathan, who was an amazing guy and he was very fast to bring me pancakes. Overall if you are looking for a great experience with diner type food, this location is a great choice. read more

This IHOP is right across the street from the North Georgia Premium Outlets. I came here recently with my mom, and we decided to grab brunch before our shopping excursion. The service wasn't that fast (it took about 5 minutes before someone came by to ask us what we wanted to drink). But the food was pretty good... My mom got the swedish crepes (international passport) with bacon, sausage, and eggs. I got the banana and macademia nuts pancakes with bacon, hash brown, and eggs. The banana & macademia nuts pancakes were pretty delish. I could've done without the mountain of fake cream on top (give me real whipped cream... I don't eat the fake sugary stuff). I'm also pretty sure that the nuts in the pancakes were walnuts, not macademia (false advertising?). But regardless, they were very tasty and fluffy. The bacon was cooked crispy, just the way I like it. The eggs were also done perfectly. I had mine over-medium-- the white was slightly crisp, and the yolk was still mostly runny. Yummy! The place was clean, but the food was HORRIBLE!! My mom got the egg and cheese melt and it came out with a huge black hair in it. When she got a new one, the cheese tastes nasty and tasted like Nickelodeon Gak! It was horrible! I had the Danish Crepe and it seemed like I was eating sour cream in it and not sweet cream. I thought our server did great cause we ordered the breakfast sampler for our 2 kids and she went ahead and divided the meal into two plates.
