I've been to this location quite a few times. Food is always consistent. The staff however is all over the place. We've had some completely absent wait staff and some that are so on top of things that they belong in a diner dining establishment. Overall we typically enjoy our visit. We don't go often and IHOP is what it is. It's usually pretty clean. read more

IHOP is not a place I normally eat but it was walking distance from my hotel and after driving all day, I did not want to get back in the car or get a larger meal somewhere else. The restaurant was not busy either night. My waitress the first night spent more time sitting with her boyfriend then tending to her tables. My beverage was empty for a long time and I still had to ask for a refill even after it was noticed a few times. My waiter the second night was much more attentive so service will depend on who you are assigned. The first night, I had the Eggs Benedict. I was not expecting much, but I did enjoy it. The poached eggs were even runny. The second night I was not very hungry so went with the French Toast with strawberries and bananas. The slices of bread were bigger than I expected and that was pretty good too. The food isn't bad here but the service could be better. read more

Compliments to the chef. Our food was amazing and it did come out quick. We were glad to see that our wait time at the empty checkin was not evidence of the food serve time. HOWEVER, the service was not good. Only one other couple in the restaurant when we came in. Paid $3.79 a piece for drinks and asked for a refill 3 times and never got one. The African- American girl with braids and a handkerchief on her head, claimed to be our waitress, but a we saw a guy at our table 4x more than her. The restrooms were very clean. Food: So, it's IHOP. The food is going to be exactly what you expect it to be. I am willing to guess that the staff is doing great with what IHOP gives them to work with. You can certainly go there and get a meal that you are happy with. If pancakes or waffles are your choice, I would recommend bringing some 100% pure maple syrup as it will taste better and bring out the taste of the food much better. Ambiance: This spot is usually not that busy since it's in a small town. I really like that about this place however, for the sake of the staff I wish it was busier so they could have more opportunities make more money. Service: Absolutely fantastic! My experience, everyone that works here is friendly, has integrity, really cares about your experience and that your order is correct. The service alone makes it worth going back here. It's just they didn't have a lot of food like for instance they didn't have any grits what breakfast place doesn't have grits. waited 30 to 40 minutes for a chicken quesadilla. after they brought out my chicken quesadilla and fries, my fries were very Cold. The place was busy with an after church rush and the waitress was nice but they were too busy for the capability of the restaurant staff. Came here around 2:30 pm and only two other tables were taken. We both ordered burgers while I ordered onion rings the wife got fries. Everything came out hot and delicious. We've tried many places in EC for burgers and honestly they're the best. Only thing I could complain about is the patron who thought it appropriate to start hacking up a loogie as he was being seated. This wasn't someone trying to clear his throat either. However that is not the restaurants fault, it was just a big turn off for my wife to want to return. Besides that we've only had good experience with staff, wait time and food quality. Horrible for a 1:30 lunch on Sunday. Food quality was adequate. Wait staff was pleasant. I saw one couple seated after us, leave after 10 minutes of not being waited on. My son got his food five minutes before I got mine. He dropped his hamburger bun on the floor. That took more than 7 minutes to replace. We had to ask for ketchup and mustard which took some time. From the time we arrived, we had the most shocking experience ever!! Lobby Wait was non-existent. There wasn't a greeter or an employee up front period! I understand restaurants are short staffed because of Covid, but that's a standard that should never change. After roughly 5 minutes of waiting, an employee came off the floor and asked, "How many was in our party?" We responded,"Five." He then asks us to,"Hold on one second." like he had no clue if he had a space to sit us or not (normal routine right; same scenario standards need to remain in place for reasons such as those. The atmosphere was normal, less than average noise, and not too bad. Our waitress was polite and did her tasks proficiently. After drinks, our orders were placed. We've lived here for a little over a year now and we've put off coming here because of the reviews. My husband was craving pancakes a couple days ago so we decided to take the risk. When she showed up it was somewhat busy, but not bad. We waitied about 5-10 minutes to be seated. You could tell they were understaffed so we didnt mind. Our server was nice. Not rude, but not over the top nice. We're not hard people to please. Our food came out at a slow rate, but again, you could tell they were understaffed so we didnt mind. Once we got our food, it was good and warm. Overall it wasnt too bad. We got refills without asking and our food was warm. We left in a good mood. I often go here because there is not much choice in E.C on places to go. The staff are always amazing and sometimes the food is good too. I guess it's the time of day that you go. Mornings are the best and late nights. My baby always plays in those pancake smiley faces. When I get poached eggs they look microwaved. I still go there when I'm bored. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I also love the fact they raise money by selling shirts etc for veterans. They even have a table set up in their honor. So my roommate dragged me here this morning even with me giving her options she wanted IHOP. Where do I start so as per my last review it looks like they finally renovated the area I was getting water dropped on me from the ceiling. Upon sitting down at the booth the booth had crumbs on it and table was sticky. Our server Amber seems polite my roommate started with a orange juice and I ordered coffee. My roommate told me to try her orange juice and I tried it and it tastes like they watered it down and my coffee is just the basic coffee which is fine with me. Upon ordering my roommate ordered biscuits and gravy and I ordered the breakfast sampler and I asked for a extra egg and Amber the waitress said there was another combo in the menu that has 3 bacon 3 sausage but no extra egg. I am confused because I can understand trying to give someone options but offering someone something that's more expensive but doesn't meet what the customer wanted? Ummm lord so the food comes out and the gravy doesn't move off my roommates food like it's cement and upon trying it's bland not even sausage gravy as the waitress had said it was, biscuits obviously not homemade.
