The portion for 40 dollar take out were unacceptable. The meal was for 4 but only provided 7 pancakes maybe 6 scrambled eggs if that definitely not 8 eggs with a ton of hash browns and some burnt sausage. It was very disappointing to say the least. They did provide food at the Killeen location but that was about it. The computers were down so I had to get cash after I arrived but thinking the food was ok but I had to get more from Bushes to make up the difference. I have a deep cut on my thumb so I thought I'd eat out to avoid having to do dishes. I went to IHOP in Killeen to get some gluten-free pancakes. The waiter, named Jerome, brought my unsweetened ice tea and asked if I was ready to order. Yes. So I started off asking for 3 gluten-free.... He cut me off to tell me they no longer serve gluten-free pancakes. I checked online, and IHOP still advertises gluten-free pancakes. If I eat gluten I get sick. I'm also a good tipper when I get good service. It's not unusual for me to tip 30%, 40%, or even 50% for good service, so Jerome really screwed the pooch on this one. He didn't just miss one good tip, he likely screwed that restaurant out of my repeat business. Most waiters and waitresses are happy when I walk in because of my habitual good tipping practices. Or maybe since gluten-free takes more time, maybe the management told him to say that. I have no way of knowing. Either way, I had to leave. I don't want to get sick. It's been a years since I have been here. Met with a girlfriend for breakfast before my chiropractor appointment. The wait to get seated took longer than expected. Once I got seated my waitress was friendly, attentive and funny. She was training someone at the same time. My friend was on her way but the waitress made sure I was taken care of. She brought my coffee and water while I look over the menu. They had so many food at reasonable price. They also have happy hour M-F from 3-8pm . It's not the happy hour we're used to too, but rather a cheap meal offer during those hours. Food was delicious and craving satisfied. The wait staff is wonderful, and I have always had a good experience with them. Management on the other hand is a whole other story. There are managers coming to work drunk, other managers talking about their sex life with minors and think its perfectly ok. But the big kicker is that the store manager, R, does nothing about it and tells his staff do NOT EVER call Corporate and only go to him. But he does nothing about it. One of the good managers ended up quitting because another manager put her hands on her daughter and they still did nothing. Food is good and wait staff is good, but management really needs to change. Oh and they will not give you corporates number if you ask. read more

I don't know what happened here. Having time to kill between appointments this morning, my husband and I decided to go for breakfast somewhere other than McDonald's for once. We stood inside the entry for several minutes before a hostess with what looked like headphones around her neck came to take our name and party size. We registered for 2 and walked across to the open corner bench seat to wait. Several other groupings came in and followed suit. (I observed behind me two open tables, two open booths, and another booth that just needed to be bussed.) My husband and I watched the hostess walk out to the vestibule to notify and seat a party there before us. More time passes and we noticed several groups getting seated who came in after us, yet we never heard our name called. We never heard ANY names called. Confused and frustrated, we approached the hostess, who asked us if we'd like to sign in. We pointed out we already had with her and indicated our crossed out name with a 2 on the list. She claimed they called our name, and we didn't respond. We weren't even 8 feet away from her from the moment we sat down. We were almost ready to walk out, but she asked if we were okay with a table, and we confirmed yes, for two... as she grabbed 4 menus and place settings. Our server with the space buns in red scrunchies was an entirely different experience; she was great! She greeted us, removed the extra menus and place settings, and took our order quickly. Food was out surprisingly fast, and she ensured we felt comfortable letting her know if anything needed fixing. When we were done, our server was on it again. She offered me a to-go cup for my drink while offering to take care of cashing us out, table-side. She was also observant enough to notice my husband's military ID and gave us a discount on our check. I'll say it again: she was great! And no complaints on our food or drinks. If we hadn't had such an issue being seated, this would have been a 5-star experience. Our server deserves that 5-star rating. first, I wanna start off by saying I will waiter John W was horrible and so was the manager. So a young lady and I decided to go and have breakfast at about 2:44 AM because she was hungry. We entered IHOP and everything was fine, we were seated immediately because it weren't too many people in there so started off really well. John, the server came to our table and asked if we would like to start off with a drink. I immediately set water because I normally don't drink juice or coffee and I knew what I wanted. The other party I was with said she would like water and lemon as well. He said he would be right back with the waters to take our order when he returned. I was ready to give him my order, but he did not have his notepad. Because he thought we needed more time so he went to retrieve it. As we waited for John to return, we sat to talk for a while, when John return, I placed my order first since I knew what I wanted, specifically stating that I wanted the sirloin tips, eggs and hash brown with my tips, medium, and my two eggs over medium, and hash brown crispy, with hot maple syrup for my pancakes and to make sure it's put in a to go container. The other party ordered her meal, which she had the same that I had and she added grits. Both meals came back incorrectly after waiting 30 minutes for our food. I stated to John that my sirloin tips were extra well and my eggs were hard. And he replied back to me yeah, I see that never offering to have just smiling. At this point I already knew I was done and I wasn't going to cause a scene I asked can I have to go lead to go over my food because even though he brought it out in it's to he put the lid I was given no syrup for my pancakes with no butter on it. The other party, she stated her food was but she wanted her as remade. I just asked for the check so I can pay because I knew he didn't wanna do his job. He was frustrated just by us telling him our food was made wrong. The who was on duty, was standing behind us in a boot with another who she had been talking to very flirtatiously the entire time we were there. Now I really don't care about that part, but she never once offered assistance when we were complaining about the food and the service that John was giving to him. By this time, he took the other parties food back to have it remade and when it came back out, it was the same eggs, same hash brown new sirloin tips that was still well done. So she requested once again to have it remade now I'm getting frustrated because I'm ready to leave so I get up to go to the counter to pay for my food while they're remaking her food once again. As I'm standing there, John approaches me so that I can pay for my ticket. I explain to him that he did not give me all of the things that was supposed to come with my food and my food was still wrong, so unfortunately, I couldn't leave him a tip because he did not. Do a good job. He laughed and said that's fine and walked away. I returned to the table to put the food in a bag because I had to pay for it. I made sure to take it to give to my dog. I explained this to the other party I was with and she said why would you pay for food if you're just going to give it to your dog. I tell her because they're just going to throw it away. At least my dog can enjoy it and the food won't be waste. She don't care about this, she is frustrated because her food is incorrect again. She tells them she don't want it. She'll keep the grits and the pancakes. The manager goes to ring her up for that but get the cop who was on duty and say we were being disorderly, the crazy thing is the cop instead of using the sense God gave him doesn't say whether they're not doing anything he's standing in there like I just wanna and so I'm talking to him telling him that I'm just ready to go home because the service was horrible, he s says yeah, like it happens all the time and said that the lady is the manager and was she pretty much says goes whether it was true or not. so now the other party I am with says she does not want the food at all. Give them back the grits pancakes and a tells us to get out. I step foot in the IHOP clean again as long as she is the manager and John W ID number 0254472 is still there. read more

Me and the hubby came here around 9 or 10 at night, and I learned very quickly that the workers are funny, and though I love funny, funny does not always make up for the lack of service. And I definitely feel like the service could have been better. Maybe, it was because it was actually a little busy or what not, I just didn't expect for the service to be so "all over the place." To give them the benefit of the doubt, I've picked up from this location several times with same results, but never again. On pick up to go, Every time they are extremely late, give me the wrong pick up order and/or can't fulfill any of the online pickup order items. Employees here are NOT properly trained, supervised and managed because most of the time they are wondering around talking to each other and don't know their job. Some employees stand behind the food plate line and eat in front of customers. Pickup orders are always late and are a complete disaster missing good items or wrong items. Today, the pickup to go was already more than 30 minutes late and food had not been started when I arrived, printed ticket order still was taped to box, and since they couldn't fulfill the order, I got a refund. I will never return to a IHOP again. This IHOP is absolutely the worse place to eat especially if you're picking up to go don't do it, I can't even imagine what other issues they have when you come in and sit down to eat. My niece loves fries and burgers so we came here on a whim. We wanted to check out the IHOb life! It was 2:30pm on a Wednesday so it wasn't crowded. The inside of this restaurant definitely had a face lift since the last time I have been here back in 2013. The bathrooms and restaurant was very clean. My niece ordered the classic burger with the unlimited fries and I ordered the jalapeño kick burger with pancakes instead of fries. You can select the following sides: unlimited fries, fruit, two pancakes. I thought I took a pic of the sides you can choose from, but I failed to. This is just on memory. The steak burger was tasty. The buttering of the brioche bun was a bit oily, but that was my only complaint. Everything was good. Of course the pancakes were delicious. Apparently, the burger with unlimited fries and drink is only for a limited time. Too bad! That was what sold me since I knew my niece would love it. The service was awesome! Wow, inflation must have really hit IHOP. I could not believe how small the portions were. My daughter got a cheeseburger with fries. After we left she said, "I could count the number of fries I got on both hands." And these were small fries. She also got a side of macaroni and cheese. I watched the way she handled a family after they walked in looking for a table to be sat at. We all stood there for 5-10 mins while she just looked at us. She then came to help the first family. After asking to be sat she proceeded to rude and hostile like to the family saying they weren't gonna be sat. Since it's located not too far from the nightclubs on Elms Rd., try to avoid coming on Thursday to Saturday nights -- it will be extremely crowded and you'll have to wait a very long time to be seated. My last visit was on a Sunday night and we were seated right away. Our server was very attentive and friendly to my mother and I. As far as the quality of our food, it was just mediocre. My mom's meal was overdone and my chicken cobb salad was just okay -- nothing special. What I really love most about IHOP is their crepes. I had the Strawberry & Cream with an extra side of bananas. We were put in a corner with some other Hispanic families (very sweet people) and basically ignored the whole time, it wasn't busy enough for us (including the other two groups) to get ignored and have to ask for our drinks 5 different times.
